I don't think this game is working out. I'm not too keen on the whole tournament idea and I think it'd just devolve into a bunch of senseless combats. I'll be closing this one later.
Yeah, I think it's time to introduce the twist.
As Miyuku is walking, she picks up on a low-frequency transmission.
People walk by with a carefree air. The smile and wave at others, the tension and violence of the day seemingly vanished.
The Saitos find all sorts of food, from sweet buns to tempura on a stick.

@Yama: That's how I understand it.
The streets are filled with many activities, it almost feels like a carnival at night. You see several people playing card games, people taking strolls and food vendors selling all sorts of treats.
Miyuku has no messages waiting at the front desk.

I'll allow you to retcon whatever you like.
The day passes without much incident, except for five hundred people being sent home from the tournament, a good number of those dead. Yet, no real waves have been made in the standings. Around midnight, vendors start making their way into town and Shibuya takes on a different feeling. People mingle in the streets and the nightlife replaces the tension of the day.
Kei swims for a little bit longer before getting out of the pool. He stops by Yama's chair. "It was nice to meet you, Yama. I haven't gotten to talk to a lot of people..."
He smiles and heads to the elevator.

She specifically requested this to torment you. She refused to make me tea otherwise.
"Ah, it's good to pace yourself," Kei says. "Some people just overdo it sometimes. Or they underestimate people based on how they look."
"So you're in the tournament, huh? That must be exciting. Have you had a fight yet?" Kei asks, trying to shift the topic of conversation.
Kei shakes his head and keeps swimming.
Kei blushes. "Y-you don't have to do that!"
"Alright," Kei says with a smile.
"She thinks my time would be better spent going to the university and becoming a doctor...like my dad was," Kei answers. He turns and resumes swimming.
Kei stops mid-stroke. "No...she isn't...I've been doing this for about 8 years, I turned 16 two months ago."
Kei stops mid-stroke. "No...she isn't..."
"International swim meet," Kei answers, doing a graceful backstroke. "I hope to go to the Olympics someday."
"Yeah, gotta keep up my training," Kei says, diving into the pool gracefully.
Kei returns a short time later. "Still here, Yama?"
"But things'll work out, they always do," Kei says. "Oh, there's my mom. I'll see you around...I guess."
He gets up and walks to a tall woman carrying two katanas. Kei waves at Yama as he leaves.
"That's cool," Kei says. "This is my third time at a tournament. My mom...she likes to keep trying...to give us a better life."
"Nice to meet you...Yama," Kei says, blushing a little too.
"I'm Kei. And it's okay if you got me wet, I was planning on swimming after my mom got back," the boy says. "Yeah, I get bored. All that's on TV is the tournament..."
The boy smiles. "My mother is in the tournament...and since my dad's gone, I have to stay here."
"Nice swimming," the boy calls.
A teenage boy sits at the side of the pool and watches Yama swim.
The cab arrives quickly and takes Tree and the Saitos back to their hotel. On the way back, you see many more fights and crowds gathering in the more heavily trafficked parts of Shibuya.
"I've got it," Kyoko says, shaking Yama's hand and pushing another button on her comm again. No more than thirty seconds later, an ambulance arrives and checks on Hayate.
Kyoko nods and presses the button on her comm declaring her loss. "That was a good fight...I guess we just need more practice. Good luck to you all."
Defense: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 1, 1) = 10; -2 (4)
Hayate falls to the ground unconscious and Kyoko unleashes another pitch against Yamaneko, her nerves wracked by being the only person against three.
Fastball: 6d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 5, 1, 4) = 16 (5)
Hayate barely covers himself from the oncoming blow.
Defense: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 2, 5) = 13; -2 (3)
Defense: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 5, 6) = 24 (12)
The bullet narrowly misses Kyoko again.
Yup, it seems like time slows.
We'll see what we have and if we can get you comfortable.
Kyoko winds up again for another pitch, while Hayate holds his position.
Round Order: Yamaneko, Kyoko, Hayate, Miyuku, Tree
Defense: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 3, 2) = 19 -2 for drawing on Endurance and taking more than 1/2 health damage from Miyuku's attack. (6)
Hayate manages to dodge Tree's fist. "Hmph..."
Round Order: Yamaneko, Kyoko, Hayate, Miyuku, Tree
@Yama: Yes, it's 6d6 for your defense and you can roll it now.
@Miyuku: 15
Chiyoko waits for the paralysis to wear off then declares her loss on the comm. <"You are full of surprises, Taro Yamamoto. You may go far in this tournament. Good-bye.">
She walks to the stairs and heads back down.
***
Defense: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) = 7; (4)
Overwhelmed by Miyuku's attack, Hayate attempts to soak up as much of the damage as possible. 33 damage.
Heaving, he remains crouched at Kyoko's side.
*shrugs* Don't look at me...
Vs. AL: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 1) = 12 (8)
Vs. PR: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 2) = 12 (5); Well, that's 50 damage...
Taro's shot tears through Chiyoko as she's paralyzed. <"It looks like this fight is yours, Taro Yamamoto.">
***
Defense: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 1, 5) = 13; (10)
Hayate steps in front of Yamaneko's bullet and catches it, though it pushes him back a bit. 12 damage.
"You're such a quitter, Risa!" Kyoko yells as she finishes her pitch, sending a ball straight to Yamaneko's face.
Beanball: 6d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 2, 3, 1) = 18; (6)
Hayate prepares to catch another attack.
Round Order: Yamaneko, Kyoko, Hayate, Miyuku, Tree
Alright. See you after a while.
