Kehanu Murimatsu was a Research Technician for LOKI (League Of Knowledge Issuance) Corporation. Hardly anyone gave him a second glance, including a fellow Tech by the name of Linda. A fiery haired beauty that he admired, but lacked the courage to ask out. Then there came an opportunity for him to finally work up the courage. They both were assigned to a rotation on the Lunar base, a facility built by many corporations to allow for research without the hassle of restriction policies. But the public didn't know that, and they didn't need to. Kehanu saw this as an opportunity, because he would have nowhere to run should he chicken out while trying to ask Linda out. It was time to face his fear. On the third day there, the shy little Tech stepped forward and asked the Red-head out, she said yes.
Some weeks later, while working on a recently discovered artifact, something caused it to activate and it...attached to him. No one knew how or why it seemed to choose him, but it was decided he should be studied. That's when everything got worse, during the first test, Kehanu turned into an unstoppable, tech-blade wielding, blur of death and destruction. The man had no recollection of what happened during, but he would forever remember the aftermath, for when he came to, all of his colleagues were dead, including Linda. In a blind panic, he grabbed one of the emergency shuttles and headed back to Earth. But the LOKI Corporation would let him go that easily.
The following months were a nightmare for Kehanu, for he spent most of them on the run from LOKI Shadow Security, who hunted him mercilessly so could retrieve the alien tech from him. They had even gone so far as to turn his own family against him, using them as pawns to lure him into a deadly trap that they did not survive. After that, Kehanu turned the tables and brought down LOKI Corp to its very foundation. With LOKI destroyed and no one left that he cared about, Kehanu turned to the life of a freelance mercenary, taking assignments that others deemed impossible to accomplish. However, after two years, he decided to enter the Neon Dance Hall Tournament. Perhaps there, he could finally find the peace he deserved. And if not, well at least he'd be far richer than ever before.
