Elizabeth opens the door with no complication. Garuneh advances behind her give proper lighting. On the other side of the door is a large circular room. A single pillar in the center of the room supports this wide, domed chamber. The pillar is surrounded by a pit, but a stone bridge crosses the pit on the south side. There is an exit on the southern wall and a similar look door as the one in front of the party on the east side of the chamber.
Gunder Undertable
Gunder casts Guidance and Virtue on himself. When he enters the room he holds up his shield to protect him from the arrow-pillar - and he is careful only to step on floor tiles on which others have stepped first.
"Strange architecture they are having here. Can you see what is in that pit?"

Garuneh and Aldous follow behind everybody else. Once the entire party enters the room, the door swings shut. The door is flush with the wall and there is no handle on this side. There is a door to the south and the outline of a door to the east.
Round 1
The center pillar begins to spin and arrows fire out in all directions.

Aldous is surprised by the sudden closure of the door and is struck with two arrows to the chest. (9 points of non-lethal dmg)
The pillar continues to spin.
Heroes May Go. The group is currently in rounds.
Gunder Undertable
Gunder's max HP is 16. So thats 16 points of nonlethal damage and 2 points of lethal damage for him. One of which is accounted for by Virtue. So he should be unconscious at 9/16 HP with 16 nonlethal damage now.
Gunder knocks his head hard on the floor when he falls. Everything around him goes black as he falls unconscious.

Elizabeth frantically searched the pillar but is unable to find a way to turn it off this round.
Bria grabs Gunder and attempts to drag him back which she came. She is stopped by the closed door. She tries to push on it, but it does not budge. There is no handle or way to open it from this side. This appears to be a one-way door.
Garuneh may procede, after which I'll perform Aldous's actions unless he chimes in before hand.

The arrows fire in every direction. Keep in mind you can crawl 5 feet as a move action. Garuneh, you can do both.
Garuneh and Aldous both fall prone and try to cover-up their head and neck from the firing bolts.
Round 2
Bolts continue to fire endlessly from the rotating pillar in every direction.

Arrow bounces off of Bria's boot, providing minimal damage (1 non lethal point of dmg)
Garuneh is struck in the ribs resulting in a large welt over his flank (3 non lethal pod)
An arrow strike Aldous in the head, leaving him staggered, fading in and out of consciousness. (4 non lethal pod)
Heroes May Go.
Garuneh Lasandarman
Garuneh focuses and chants at the pillar. Create Water inside the pillar; maybe it will slow the arrows down or freeze a mechanism. The spell can work inside spaces, just not inside creatures. Unless this is an arrow pillar golem.

Aldous attempts to fend off any arrows that come toward him.
Bria hussles around the pit that is in the middle of the room. She is able to reach the door at the other end of the room (double move).
Garuneh creates water with in one of the arrow holes, soaking Elizabeth but has no overall affect on the pillar's mechanics.
Round 3
The pillar continues to rain arrows upon the party.

Elizabeth continues to narrowly avoid any of the arrows being shot at her.
A volley of arrows fire off at Bria, most bounce off her breast plate. One finds the crease behind her knee causing her to almost stumble. (3 non-lethal pod)
Garuneh is able to stay under all of the arrows that are fired at him.
The only two arrows headed toward Aldous find their mark. One cracks his head, causing him to black out and bleed while the other punctures his back (since Aldous's non lethal dmg equals his current hps, all further dmg is now lethal. Aldous takes 12 pod.)
The Heroes May Go. The pillar keeps spinning.

The pit appears to be a 30' drop. Elizabeth doesn't see anything at the bottom of the pit. Out of the corner of her eye, she sees what she has to do to stop the pillar. Disarming the pillar looks like it would be a difficult task to accomplish.
Had to give you something for the nat 20, Liz. You still have a Standard action. Remember it takes 2d4 rounds to disarm traps.
Bria is able to shove the door open and step inside. Still holding onto the door, she can tell it is heavy and would close automatically if she let go.
Garuneh has full round actions. Liz has a standard action.
Garuneh Lasandarman
"We're holing up after this and nursing wounds...perhaps considering another line of work.." says Garuneh, wincing. He reaches out a hand to touch Aldous.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Healing energies course through Garuneh's hand and into Aldous. The wound on the elf's head heals as he awakens.
Bria tries to jam her battle axe at the base of the door to stop it from closing. 1d20 ⇒ 17 It looks like it will hold for a couple of rounds.
Aldous is awake and has a full round of actions he can take. The CLW healed lethal & nonlethal damage. Garuneh has a move action if he wants to take it.

Aldous stands up and shuffles his way towards the open door.
Garuneh crawls towards his companions.
Round 4
Round and round she goes, where the arrows stop only the pillar knows.

Aldous dmg: 3d8 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 13
Elizabeth takes 2 shots to the gut while she is working on the rotating pillar. With a moan she falls the floor unconscious. (5 nl pod; 6 lethal pod)
Two arrows get through the door way and strike Bria in the arms and chest. She passes out from the blunt damage. The axe wedging the door still hold for now. (5 nl pod, 4 lethal)
Garuneh's left flank and head a struck by the blunt projectiles. He goes limp on the floor. (4 nl pod, 4 lethal pod)
Aldous is pummeled by three arrows causing him to fall back down to the ground unconscious. (2 nl pod then 11 lethal pod).
Con Check: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (15) - 3 = 12
After a nice nap, the majority of the party wakes up among a litter of splinters from all the arrows shot. A thousand or so arrow look to have been fired, none of which are usable. Aldous does not awake. Alive, but not awake. The door to the east is closed with Bria on the other side. When opened from the pillar room, she can return to the group proper but the door automatically closes from its heavy weight. The only exits are to the south or to the east.
(everybody has all of their non-lethal damage removed, but the lethal remains)
Gunder Undertable
After getting up with much moaning and groaning, Gunder looks at the arrows.
"What happened? What kind of trap was that? With blunt arrows!? Maybe it was meant for the undead skeletons. Or those stupid townspeople built it for their kids and didn't tell us about it."
Is there any in-game significance to the fact that the trap stopped hitting people that were unconscious? Or was that just you being nice and not beating unconscious characters to death with nonlethal weapons, Neb?
He limps over to Aldous and casts a healing spell on him.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 (5/6 spells left)
Then he realizes Bria isn't in the room.
"Hey - Where is the new girl?"
Garuneh Lasandarman
"She went east," croaks Garuneh. He pounds on that door. "Bria! Are you alive? We are--barely."
"We need to spend a day recovering, and foraging for food and supplies. If I can find some berries, we can heal and eat at the same time."
Kn Nature: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 what are the chances of berries in this weather?

After a few moments of study, the rogue analysis how much force per square inch would be required to open the door. Elizabeth double checks her calculations, then pushes the door open. The open door reveals a female dwarf dressed in chainmail. She looks very familiar =v)
The door is heavy. If let go, it feels as if the door will automatically closed shut.
I'm assuming Bria will rejoin the party in the pillar room after the door is opened.
Gunder Undertable
"We should press on. I am running low on rations. I can cure our wounds with magic - but I can't magically create food."
How many hit points does everyone have left? Gunder is at 9/16 HP, 5/6 Spells, and down to 3 trail rations. Maybe we should start thinking about eating survivors. That boy in the other room looked tasty.
