I'm almost certainly running a bard. Possibly a vanilla one but I'll take a look this weekend. Having some overlap on skill monkeys isn't a bad idea, and honestly, I'm more than happy to build a social skill monkey anyway to leave some space for rogues and rangers to shine.

Still not decided yet, tossing around some options.
Yeah, that's what I was going for, the Occult Adventures Classes.
The 3PP stuff from Dreamscarred is basically just the old D&D 3.5 Psionics, but updated to Pathfinder rules.

Dementrius probably playing some sort of gunslinger / witch combination.
Chubbs McGee possibly playing a sorcerer, or maybe something more martial like a monk.
Tinkergoth probably playing a bard. Probably the heir.
Flash possibly playing an occult / pyschic class.
Gizmoh4 probably playing a dwarven ranger.
Ash as yet undecided.
Brashen possibly playing a rogue.
That's probably a good spread, though you are currently lacking a proper divine caster and/or healer.

Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my BROOMSTICK! (the 'r' is silent).

On character background, I'd be happy to play the heir if no one objects.
I have no objections - sorry, meant to add that to my last note.
Moth, I've pulled together the skeleton for a Cavalier. I like the class, and I figured it ticks a combat-oriented box while also providing a reasonable range of social based skills which could help.
But that leaves us short a healer by the look of everyone else's choices. I was looking at the Friend of the Family feat which would link him with Koya - is she a reasonable healing substitute/option? I'm not adverse to rethinking my class if you feel there is a definite need there.

Nay - I will be powersome with healingly skills once I begin witching. Keep thy mighty-like abilities arrayed elsewhere. I'll be straightsome - coming to a curse-witch for healing mayn't be the most comfortable experience.

... well, I see nothing ominous here. Seems like we're good!

Koya is absolutely an option for healing, and providing the sort of 'removes' and 'restores' that bards, witches etc. have less access to. The old lady won't generally be actively adventuring with you, so you are on your own when in the middle of a dungeon or what have you, but for large parts of the campaign she will be available to seek out for free / discount heals.

If my sister's methods of healing make you... anxious, I am more than happy to bestow on you the blessings of Shelyn!
Cool, you're going with cleric. Did you find a good way to multiclass cleric with monk, or do you think you'll likely stick to straight cleric?
I like the idea of one sister as a witch, one as a cleric.

Alright, I imagine that not everyone will have their characters done until some time after the weekend, so we won't be starting till next week (I would think). However, I'll probably soon start a gameplay thread.
If everyone posts to this thread, this game will then show up in the 'campaigns' tab of your profile, which will make it a lot easier to keep track of.
Could I request that everyone post to the game thread, then immediately delete your post. It will still go into your campaign tab, and we won't clutter the thread with a bunch of 'marker' posts.

Dementrius playing a female tiefling wizard (spellslinger) - multi-classing to witch.
Chubbs McGee playing a female aasimar cleric of Shelyn.
Tinkergoth probably playing a bard. Probably the heir.
Flash possibly playing an occult / pyschic class.
Gizmoh4 playing a dwarven ranger.
Ash playing a cavalier.
Brashen playing a halfling rogue.

Guys, while doing the character creation process, give some thought to the campaign traits and which of the four NPCs your trait will relate to. I'd like some understanding of your character's relationship to that NPC (and possibly any of the others). Note that even if one of the PCs (eg, Tinkergoth) ends up being the heir, your campaign trait should still relate to an NPC not a PC.
Also give some thought / have some discussions about how your PCs might know each other, and what their relationships might be. It is assumed that they will at least know of each other (via the NPCs), but closer relationships between PCs are certainly encouraged (eg, the Sister Act).
If there is a reasonably strong group bond to begin with, I can start the campaign in a certain way, which kind of involves your characters coming together and deciding to deal with a problem. If that bond is not that strong I may need to introduce a catalyst or 'quest-giver' to get the ball rolling.

What's wrong with a dad joke, pray tell?
Oh no, not a cavalier with a reach weapon and paired opportunist! You're not allowed to speak to Dementrius about cavaliers, I don't want you getting any ideas ...
Killed my crag linnorm in two rounds, grumble ...
;-)
Looks good actually. What cavalier order does he belong to?

Dementrius, maybe we should take this offline... :)
Belongs to Order of the Dragon, which should be a good fit for the nature of the campaign.

At the moment I've used the Friend of the Family trait for Marc, linking him with Koya. Fits in nicely with the Order of the Dragon. I've also taken Minkaian as a language though, to leave it open for some sort of link with the Ameiko (and potentially other PCs).
I have not padded out the background fully yet, but basic premise is that Marc is a younger son from a wealthy merchant family who are active in Sandpoint. This gives reasonable opportunity to have some link them with any of the characters;
- Sandru due to his caravanning/trading interests
- Ameiko for any insight into her homeland (and potential trading opportunities or contacts)
- Shalelu for intel on the roads and dangers about.
On top of this, Marc currently spends plenty of evenings hitting the Sandpoint bars, and has the social skills to introduce himself to new people.
Marc's oldest brother has just taken over the business after his father passed away and is making like tough for him, so an opportunity to get out of town is looking more and more attractive.
I'd be more than comfortable linking Marc's background with anyone who is keen.

Run, Marc, run!

Tha's boggeldy! He just up 'n defenestrated hisself! This is Haelynn's faultery for sureness.

Yumiko and Haelynn both have the 'friend of the family' trait as well. I'm thinking that the sisters have both studied with Niska and Koya at some point. (Or Haelynn has, and Yumiko listened at the window).
So, Yumiko's got friends – well not friends exactly. (She doesn't really have them). But she has people who will help her – well not help. Tolerate maybe? Yeah, Koya's on that very short list.
I'm seeing the sisters as being DeVito/Schwarzengger type twins where the mix of spiritual essences (oni and kami) have gone screwy somewhere despite their shared parentage. Despite that they are a tight-knit pair who look out for one another.
Anything to add Chubbs?

Ahh, I assure you my health is fine at this moment, m'lady. But I thank you for your...enthusiasm. I will keep your offer in my mind. Always.

I like your idea Dementrius. I'm thinking Haelynn and Yumiko are twins, two sides of the same coin, and are rarely seen apart. The Kin Bond trait might also be a good option for them.
How do you want roleplay this relationship? Is Yumiko tolerated more for Haelynn's benefit, with Koya and a select few being the only ones who have genuine feelings for her?
I would like to have links to the other characters if we can? Maybe Haelynn spends a lot of time watching the dashing Marc d'Laurac and other local knights or fighters training?
Yumiko might have some common ground with Brashen's rogue, and Haelynn, who is one of Shelyn's faithful, might have struck up a friendship with Tinkergoth's bard?
