Hey Echos. Welcome aboard!
So Echos Myron and I have been hoodwinking you guys for a while. He had the idea for this character, and it fit in well with one of the plots the Fomor had going. So we decided to introduce him organically and let you guys react to him as though he were a character without the burden on knowing he was a PC. We thought that would avoid tipping you off to how you "should" behave toward him. I've enjoyed it and I think it worked well, but I feel like I'm making too many decisions for him, so I asked him to go ahead and step in.
Well, I'll say you got me. I didn't suspect a thing. Very nicely done, seems about as organic an entry as you can get.
The only inkling I had was that you seemed to hint here and there that he'd be around for a while. I thought perhaps you were hinting I'd have to take him on as apprentice or something? I thought maybe that had been the idea with Set and I didn't bite, so maybe you were trying again... (We didn't know his powers yet; I see now that he's no wizard.)
Yes, surprise! I've been following (stalking) this game for a few months now. As a big fan of the Dresdenverse, I was upset when I completely missed the recruitment threads. I strong armed tumbler into letting me join and we thought it'd be best to make it as organic of an entrance as possible. I am extremely excited to see where this story goes.

Are we waiting for me? We currently have Kishan in the woods, Julian (the kid you are trying to save) on the roof of a strip mall, and Jarrod and Aaron by the side of the road. I was thinking there needed to be some getting back together and maybe getting the Julian cat out of the tree, although you guys might consider him saved at this point.
In any case, I'm ready to go on with John if that is what we are ready for.
I'm attending a training conference for work for the next 2 days.

I'm here, and keeping up with the reading, but I've had little time for my games this week. My wife is out of the country, and I've been busy looking after our little kids most of the time since. Sorry about that.
Dittoing my thoughts from the other thread, this game s moving a mite slower than it needs to. It feels as though you're waiting for some universal consensus of what to do. I suggest giving 24, maybe 48 hours tops to post an action, and then going with whatever the only stated one or current majority is after that.
That seems reasonable. I guess I am too hung up on table IRL table etiquette and not wanting to leave people out. Still adjusting to the whole pbp thing.
I'm OK with a quicker turn-over, but slower isn't a problem, as long as it's not always going to be slower.
If you're moving too fast, I'll say something and we can work it out.
R. S. Belcher's new book 'The Brotherhood of the Wheel' is excellent and fits our genre.

Sorry for the delayed response. Work problems kept me away for a few days. Should be resolved now.
On a different note, I just watched Dracula Untold for the first time, and was terribly disappointed at the waste of talent and potential.
I hate apologies, and I always tell my students, "Don't be sorry, be better." That said, sorry for the terrible post rate and responsiveness. To misquote Goldblum, "Life, uh, gets in the way." I will be better.

Went through John/neil's posting history. I think his last post under any alias was the one on our board April 27. tumbler, are you going to ghost him (make him an npc) for a while, or should we write him out?

Ya, but he could always be NPC'd into our home base support, a la Alfred or Oracle. Tht way we could still use the place, he just wouldn't escort us on missions.

So, been thinking about my character, and I've decided on some things. First, I'm getting into it after looking into things. Secondly, been thinking about the luck thing that I've been fiddling with, and I've come up with a good reason for it that will develop over the game. Some time in the past, his ancestors did something that gained a blessing of luck from a leprechaun. As we gain more power points, I'm gonna save up for the Luck Manipulation power, as the blessing gains more power the more he's involved with the supernatural.
Any opinions?

I think it might aid matters if you're a little more up front every time we take an action. I was still waiting for the birds to react from me shooing them, since for all we know they're hostile Fae birds. That's what I OOC assumed.
That makes sense. I will admit that I am still pretty terrible at this PbP thing. I can't quite grasp it.
Any chance of getting this game going again? I was probably my favorite of all our M&M games. I love the Urban Fantasy setting.

Same. I think we we just had a bit of miscommunication here that gridlocked things.
I'd be willing to fire things back up. We could probably roll in Dr. Buzzard from the other Monsters and Men game.
As for rolling on, there is some interesting stuff to play with here in the NeverNever, but the real story is back in the mundane world.
I'm pretty excited about where this story goes.
