"Love meat pies" - Reknar nods, eating one, and taking another for the road - "Roast duck is solid. I like having some ale before dinner, and some strong red wine to go with the duck?" - he adds as they leave.
Not sure what is the layout of the place - makes sense Thorin scouting it first?

Nic watches Reknar devour his meat pie and after an acceptable amount of time has passed to ensure it was not poisoned, he will grab three pies to go. "Perhaps a tankard of ale before we go and a skin for after the battle." The dwarf never misses an opportunity to have a few drinks.

"Meat pies are one of my favorite things. Here let me get some parchment, I'll write down the recipe real fast and go help my friends with rat killing, once we are done killing the rats and after dinner we can do some baking!"
He offered rummaging through his things to do just that.

[ooc] You are standing outside Reginalds warehouse, the one that he said is full of "rats" is on the other side of his.[ooc]
X RB S
You are the "x" Reginalds place is RB and the warehouse in question is on the other side. They are back to back, so if you want to go in the front of the other warehouse you will have to go around the block
Reknar
Reknar checks to make sure if there could be any passage between both warehouses - a door, or anything else.
Then he also puts his ear to the adjoining wall, trying to hear anything.

"Find anything?" Nic rests his hammer on his shoulder. He starts to sing a song in his gravelly voice,
'"there's a rat in mi kitch'n, what am I gonna do?
There a rat in mi kitch'n what I'm I gonna do?
I'm gonna fix that rat that's what I'm gonna do,
I'm gonna fix that rat."
He chuckles, Now that could be a bard's song.
Nic "One-Ear" Rockborn
"Aren't they suppose t'come to us?" He tugs on his beard. "Candyman, why don't you hide..." Nic looks around the room for a hiding spot or some crates. "...then when the fighting begins you can spring out and flank 'em."
I'm looking for anything that can create some sort of cover for thorin off on the side, so he can easily gain flanking position.
Nic "One-Ear" Rockborn
Nic you can easily do that. However. You are in Reginalds warehouse. He passed along the message that the trouble, the syndicate is in the warehouse next to his. So if you stay in his warehouse you will miss it.
He was just not willing to say that outloud.
I was confused. I thought the rats were coming to collect from Reginald's warehouse.
Reknar
"Ok boys, if we break through here" - Reknar points the specific spot and whispers - "We may get the jump on them. What do you think?"
Reknar
If there is no way up onto the roof, then I guess we stick to the plan of breaking through to the other side - we wait until we hear sounds from the other warehouse then we crash through the wall, guns blazing! :D

Thorin tosses the rope up in short order, I assume your rope is knotted so it is only a DC 5 to climb it.
I assume take 10 gets you all up. You find yourselves at the edge between warehouses. There is a short 3 foot gap between the two of them...aparently it doesnt actually share a wall...good to know.
1d100 ⇒ 36 it does not appear that there is a skylight sadly.

I can auto succeed on the climb check.
Once atop the roof of the rats home he frowned doing his best to see if there was a trapdoor, or loose shingles something...anything that could lead to an easier route in then well hacking through the rooftop.
If there is no big rush i would take 20 for a 29 perception, if needing a roll

Nic gives the rope a slight tug then begins the climb.
climb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
"ugg...I hate climbing."
He slides down the rope after getting 2 feet off the ground. "Alrighty...alrighty...I stop smirkin', I was only getting warmed up."
tries again: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
"Hey, Reknar, I wouldn't stand right there if I were you." his legs kicking a bit until they find a perch on the wall as he tries to walk up the wall.
Reknar
"I thought we were going through the wall...." - Reknar grumbles, losing his grip momentarily, but then climbing easily.
Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

The heroes make their way to the roof, clumsily, and comically. But you now all stand at the edge, looking at the 3 foot gap between your side and the other warehouse.
As you wander around up there, carefully. You do not find a skylight, but you do find a spot that you figure you could smash through, or perhaps pry up quietly. Though the question then becomes how do you get down to the bottom.
[spoiler-Reknar] I recommend that you just bust open a hole and dive down headfirst.[/spoiler]

"Im not rightly sure i know how to disable a roof without making noise... but I'll give it a go."
He began searching for the proper weakpoint, prodding it, probing it then with a shrug poiting to a spot....
"Hit it right here with your morning stars... should punch a hole right through"
He began getting the rope ready for their extra awesome and heroic drop into the rats nest.
Nic "One-Ear" Rockborn
Not waiting to be asked a second time Nic obliges by whacking at the roof.
hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24;damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
He quickly repeats the whack
hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15;damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
then one more time for good measure
hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18;damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
"Ok, git yer fingers in there and widen the hole fer us."
MiniGM
As Nic strikes there is a veritable explosion of wood, no need to dig in, as there is a hole big enough for two, it is also possible the section of roof might cave in.
roll initiative. I Will say that you cannot see anyone down there, but if they are they are certainly aware
Nic "One-Ear" Rockborn
Nic moves and takes a quick glance around the room. Nic take sup a defensive position by a doorway, in case, the noise attracted anyone.
He will cast divine favor on himself using his wand. "I'll bless this endeavor once you all git down here."
he will cast bless next round, wither with his wand if he has time, otherwise using a spell.
