Neither door appears trapped or locked to anyone taking a look.

"Well, one's as good as the other," Nikolai says. "I'll open, get ready to fire on anything hostile on the other side, Turan." Once the archer is in position, the Varisian tough throws the northern door open, ready to rush into the room.

GM DevilDoc |

Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in some rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor. A small lizard starts as the door is thrown open and seems to study the party as you stand in the doorway.

Isobel smiles when she sees the lizard.
"Oh, cute! Can we keep it!" she exclaims.
The sorceress removes some snacks from her belt pouch and throws them to the lizard.

GM DevilDoc |

Sorry everyone, Every time I have tried to log in today it would either throw me back out with an error message as soon as I posted, or it would just plain not load. I hate the spinney wheel of eternal purgatory!!!
Nikolai: you are looking at a Small sized Lizard
The dog sized lizard has two horns and green scales that seem to crackle with electricity as you study it. As Isobel tosses snacks to it, it jumps forward and sniffs appreciatively at the offerings before gobbling them up. It shrinks back, startled, as Turan calls forth light into the room. After adjusting its eyes, it scampers forward eagerly, licking its reptilian lips and looking up at the party. As it advances towards the doorway, the crackling electricity leaps from the scales to Turan!

DC 12 reflex for half

GM DevilDoc |

[ooc]With all of the troubles I have had posting, I completely forgot about that, and I apologize. Since I don't have the source material at hand at this moment, I will say that a 17 give it to you. You see before you a shocker lizard. This is a creature that is immune to electricity and has a tendency to give an electric shock to anything within 5 ft when it gets excited or feels threatened. It doesn't appear to be upset though.[ooc]

GM DevilDoc |

I will give everyone a chance to react to this before I progress, Fauxish. Otherwise, everyone will get shocked!

![]() |

And here we have the shocker lizard in its natural habitat. They're awfully damn cute.

![]() |

"Oh! I do hope we can get it out without hurting it!" Isobel exclaims.
She pulls a day's rations from her bag and throws it to the far side of the room.
"Maybe we can slip past it!"

![]() |

"No bugs?" Fauxish asks up at Nikolai her eyes wide, her voice drowning in disappointment.

![]() |

"Yeah, I get that it would like to eat bugs, but I don't carry around a pouch of beetles just in case I run into a lizard. Maybe it'd like some aurochs jerky?" He fishes out a piece of cured meat from his belt pouch and tears a piece off, placing it in Fauxish's cupped hands.

![]() |

Fauxish takes the jerky and steps to the fore. Turen you might wanna move. She then stops and appraises the potential animal handling skills of her fellow adventurers, which is unusually easy because they have none. Visions of one or two of the party mounting a horse in the wrong direction come to mind. (Her included, though she played it off as an excuse for further acrobatics). So...
When ever it's Fauxish's turn (assuming she lives that long and the lizard is so dumbfounded by us it lets me do this).

GM DevilDoc |

Updated the map to reflect your actions, Fauxish.
As Isobel throws the food to the other end of the room, the lizard stays in the doorway curious and excited about the new comers.. until Fauxish steps forward and gives it a couple of swift kicks. It lets out a squeal as they both land.

Once again, I conjure a shadowy Celestial Eagle, in a flank with Isobel, that Smites Evil and launches a full attack against red troglodyte. A DC 16 Will save will diminish the puppet to 20% reality against it (though I'm pretty sure that the result of that will not apply to the other one).

Sounds good to me. I haven't used it, personally, but these are ce creatures vs a celestial being. Without some form of detect evil going on, you won't know if your target is evil or not.. just add in a note at the end of your post with the modifiers to be added as you have been, and I will apply it accordingly.

Nikolai falls to a knee after the troglodyte batters him, but raises again - partially due to Turan's healing, and partially because he's too damn stubborn to die. He hacks and spits out a bloody globule, looking the trog square in the eyes.

He swings, but the blows took something out of him, and they're wild and unfocused.
