Quince Medvyed |

Some has to see it come on.

Angeus |

Round 3
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Angeus curses as the thug turns just enough that her thrust was dulled by his leathers, proabably giving him a nice bruise instead of piercing his heart.
Her head snaps up at the hideous roar and she peers into the darkness of the fortress.
"Gods! What in the blazes is that? Get that dragon in here, we'll need it!" she says as she dances in an tries for the thug once more.
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
But once again the thug proves resilient, deftly deflecting Angeus' riposte.
Master Tolen would not be impressed

Kevros Droverson |

In addition to the AoO, if he was able to move in Round 2 without me attacking him in Round 3, how far did the thug move away.

Quince Medvyed |

Yeah Round Three
Is there an obvious way up the tower to the east of the gate.

GM Wolf |

The thug took a full withdraw from combat, not provoking any AoO from the spot he starts his movement from. The Thug moved 60 feet and the map has been updated.
Weird that this post got swallowed up by the internet again!
There is no obvious way up to either of the towers. To your left it looks like you might be able to squeeze between the wall and the ruins. There is an opening into the ruins and likely around the ruin on the right, where the thug ran.
Quince you may do one of the three move actions, pull out shield, pull out mace, or don shield. Each take a move action.

The dragon comes up in a fury, and the mounts scatter. It quickly stops before the gate and lets Katrina off, then charges after one of the horses it appears.
Another scout appears next to the one above they both shoot down.
bow attack on Saren: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 arrow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
bow attack on Saren: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 arrow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Quince Medvyed |

I guess I don the shield. I thought they were both move equivalent actions.

Kevros Droverson |

I will post once I can see the map.

GM Wolf |

Angeus since the thug you attack has run off to the side, you may go after him with two move actions and you will likely be next to him, or you may choose a different course of action for Round 3.
Some hulking beast seems to begin to move in the ruins... where Dovan retreated to within the ruins.
Inside is rather dark but you can make out the form of a bear, no a bear with feathers and the head of a owl.
Quince and Kevros have already failed to notice the DC 12 and thus also the DC 17.

Quince Medvyed |

perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Quince looks at the beast nervously, he comments to his allies, "Greshen obrgin lagh reper."

Saren Elken |

Round 3
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
"What is the plan then? Inside to face the beast but have cover from the archers, or after the thug to the right?" He waits for a few moments hoping for some direction.

Angeus |

Yeah, Angeus will chase after the runaway thug.
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
As Angeus runs after the thug, she points at the large man at the falling wall "Ware the big man!"

Quince Medvyed |

The tongues curse sucks. Can't offer strategy. Can't make the "they have an owlbear" joke in my best Sean Bean "they have a cavetroll" delivery.

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros moves to a location to the right to let others filter in.
Can he still take a shot at one of the thugs on the tower?

Saren Elken |

Round 3
Saren takes a double move following Angeus and draws his greatsword as he goes.

Katrina Dewtree |

Round 3
She moves up to Quince, not sure exactly what is going on. "Yell if you are hurt!" She yells out to the group. She quickly prays and a green light blossoms in her hand as she touches Quince and deftly pulls out the arrow from his torso, "Mother heal us."
Perception : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
cure light wounds: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5

GM Wolf |

Round 3
The thug in front of Angeus and Saren keeps moving between the outer wall and the ruins. He seems to quickly dodge between a tight corner at the end.
The monks all brace themselves for what is coming from within the ruins.
The beast comes charging out leaving behind a small line of blood. The bear like creature with some feathers and a head of an owl attacks nightwing with one of its mighty paws, grabbing ahold of the monk.
claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 plus grab
claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
The monks attack the beast quickly drawing weapons and trying to take down the beast that hold's their leader. Both missing. Nightwing gets free of the bear like creatures paw just barely.
Kevros from your current position it will be much harder to hit the scout thugs above you.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Attack: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Ammo: 3/5
Then yells out, "AYE KATRINA!"

Katrina Dewtree |

Round 4
Katrina quickly tries to get into the fort and under the tower. As she tumbles the owlbear stops her and the tumble becomes more of a spill. Then she tries again still being blocked by the owlbear.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11 vs. DC 21
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 vs. DC 21
Round 5
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 vs. DC 21
She quickly gets behind Kevros and heals him, "Mother heal him well." Green light blossoms and it appears to rush down him as if water healing the wounds as it goes. She is able to get the arrow out correctly with the spell healing as she pulls it, the arrow slides out easily.
cure light wounds: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 2 = 9 Kevros is now at 18 hp.
heal to pull out arrow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 vs. DC 15
"I am out of spells, all I have left are channels, hopefully we can get the beast taken care of so I can get into a better place to not heal our enemies." She shouts out hoping others understand.

Kevros Droverson |

Round 4
Kevros smiles, "Thank you Katrina, please get behind me."
Kevros moves closer to the tower watching not be under murder holes on holes in the wall. Then aims for the Owlbear with a precise shot ...
ATK: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
DAM: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Ammo: 2/5

Quince Medvyed |

Quince draws his mace and squares off with the beast. He tries to work with Nightwing and the monks to attack at a vulnerable time. He unleashes a strike at the monster. Crying out in celestial.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

GM Wolf |

Round 4
Kevros hits the owlbear with a good shot but just bloodies it some more. The dragon is off scrapping with something outside.
bow attack on Quince: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 arrow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
bow attack on Quince: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 arrow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Quince takes two arrows to his chest and takes 10 more damage, leaving him with only 4 left, all of Katrina's work gone now.
The thug that is running from Angeus and Saren keeps going. Angeus and Saren dodge through some of the skinner parts and keep on his tail.
Nightwing and one of his brothers gets one hit each as they begin to flurry, striking the owlbear many times but only a few leave lasting damage. Quince gets a hit in with his morningstar piercing into the beast as well.
The owlbear goes in a fury and misses Nightwing with its claws but bites hard into the monk, leaving a bleeding wound. 5 damage.

Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Round 5
The pursuit continues :)

Quince Medvyed |

Round 5
Quince moans as he is struck twice. He staggers. Keeping his shield before him he moves away from the owlbear and then when he is beyond the threshold of the gate he moves along the wall keeping his back to it and hopefully keeping the archers from hitting him.
Withdraw full round action. Judging by the picture I should be out of the line of fire from the archers.

GM Wolf |

Round 5
A few poorly aimed arrows shoot down on Angeus and Saren. You know that the rogue is leading you somewhere perhaps with more targets.
They have zombies too! LOL
Come on up to the second floor map.
The archers above shoot down on one of the monks, hurting the monk severely now down to 5/18 hp. The monks lets loose their attacks cutting up the owlbear and the monk who just got hurt cuts a mighty blow with his sickle and the beast drops.

Round 5
Katrina pulls out a strange looking bone sword and plunges it into the beast before her and a red mist swirls up the blade and over her arm making a red miasma aura around her. She lets out a primal scream and points the blade up at the archers above. Her muscles ripple and she seems to grow a few inches.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 5 = 34 bonus with Coup de Grace, Oh Wow a 20!!!
"Run you fools or mother nature's wrath will soon be upon you!"
You should all be a bit scared of her now.

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros looks at Katrina with amazement and chuckles, "Nothing worse than a woman scorn."
Since the Owlbear has been dispatched by the monks and Katrina, he makes one more move adjustment to get a better shot at one of the archers and hopefully not in line of sight, full, or partial cover of the other.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Kevros' repeating hvy crossbow bolt flies true to one of the Stag Lord's scouts and hits him square in the chest with a resounding thud, "YEAH!"

Round 6
Quince looks over to Scram and he signal's him in celestial.

Kevros Droverson |

Perception12: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Kevros uses this time to pick up his sword, sheathe it, and takes up a position still out of sight of the archer.
Did I X out the correct archer on the second floor?

GM Wolf |

Round 6
Kevros you shot him and who would know better than you who you took out! ;) Though you won't be able to shoot through walls so you likely shot at the one above you still. The bandit/scout to the West does not have a clear shot of the group only those in the tower directly above you had been shooting your group.
The scout above takes his bow and takes cover hiding from the glare of the katfolk.
The hurt monk retreats to below the tower as the other two advance into the ruins. The sound of battle commences as the monks fight others within the ruins. Someone within is roaring wordlessly. Nightwing hits hard on one of the assailants. Katrina hits as well.

Kevros Droverson |

I didn't know how Quince was shot twice? The one archer up there had two shots (rapid shots) or was there someone else up there on the tower like Auches and was not pictured? This is what confused me as to who Kevros would be firing upon. I thought both archers fired on Quince, the one above us and the one I thought Kevros shot.
Are you waiting for Kevros? If so, does he still has enough actions after picking up his sword and sheathing it?

Quince Medvyed |

Round 7
Scram continues through the gate confused by the press of bodies as to where to go next.
Quince follows the horse through the breach (double move). Trying to get a feel of where he can assist. He moves from cover to cover hoping to deny the archer in the tower a clear shot. (speaking of the archer in Z3b before I moved I would have no clue about the archer between Z3b and Z2a).
Do I try to push through allies to get where I can fight or do I get up that tower and deal with the archer

Kevros Droverson |

Round 7
Not having a clear shot, Kevros scans for any enemy combatants.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Angeus |

Round 6
Angeus continues to chase the thug, but notices the other up on the tower readying the brazier.
Calling out the Saren "That one's trying to light a signal!"
She runs up the stairs after the thug.
Not sure what you meant earlier. Do I need to roll acrobatics to come up the stairs or to get by the thug at the top. I'll roll just in case :)
Acrobatics 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Round 7
Actions pending.....

GM Wolf |

Round 5
You can see that the rogue/thug moved up the stairs and stopped up near the top. You can do one move action and be at the top of the stairs. Then you can do another move or standard of your choice but the thug is 5 feet away from you. You could try to tumble past him so he does not get an AoO. Your action of choice. Look at the map and decide what you want to do!
Round 7
Kevros picks up his sword and sheathes it. Dovan stabs the monk with his rapier possibly puncturing a lung. The monk quickly moves back, full withdraw. Scram won't be able to do anything this round. No arrows rain down from any of the towers. Katrina takes a swipe at the big guy and hits hard but knows better and takes a step back. Nightwing keeps on the big man and slices him with his kamas. The big man gives as just as good as he gets slamming the club into Nightwing and he seems to be on his last feet as well.
I wonder how well you would have done without the monks?

Kevros Droverson |

Not well, we don't have proper class coverage. Our only real melee PC is Tristan and he's not with us. Kevros has been tuned to be a crossbowman and where did you see them in medieval battle, that's right behind the front lines while Kevros has been in the front a few times, and sometimes dice roll luck is not with us. However, I am having stressful fun!
Kevros heads over to the main gate and peers outside to make sure no one is going to surprise them from their rear flank. In addition, who remains out front? In summary, since it is really too crowded for Kevros to enter range or melee with Auches, he secures the rear flank.

Angeus |

Round 7
Angeus sprints up the stairs with Saren close behind. She sees the thug threatening the space at the top of the stairs, so she jumps up and springs lightly off of the stair railing, trying to sail safely over the thugs outstretched weapon...

Round 7

second move attempt: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Quince tries to climb the wood wall up to the walkway but slipped back down he redoubles his effort and his frustration makes the climb even worse.

GM Wolf |

round 5
You make it up top behind the thug, neither his nor the archer's readied action go off in time to catch you.
Round 6
The archer behind Angeus hits you with an arrow, doing 5 damage as the arrow buries itself in your shoulder. She exclaims in pain but not before stabbing the rogue with her rapier, for 9 damage, leaving a bloody spot with the rapier that grows quickly. Saren quickly finishes him off with his greatsword, leaving a 3 inch gaping wound between the rogue's shoulder and neck. Blood flies everywhere and the man drops dead.
Round 7
Angeus goes after the archer and tries to stab him with her rapier but he dodges the poor attack. Then the archer fails his tumble to be free of the woman, taking 4 damage as he goes. Then he hits Angeus with another arrow leaving her even more bloody, 7 damage. Saren chases the archer down and gets behind with a successfully tumble past the archer doing a quick slide under the man.
Round 8
Angeus takes the archer down as he is more bloody than her. The other archer shoots at Saren and hits, 3 damage, merely a flesh wound. Saren charges the poor man and lays him low with a great arc flash of metal.
The rear flank has been secured by the dragon who is now herding the other mounts to the front of the fort. Kevros you could grab the reigns and secure them to the walls or bring them into the fort.

Saren Elken |

Round 6
Saren waits for Angeus to act giving her flanking at the moment but he knows he could move over and take out the archer if she does not take out the rogue.

GM Wolf |

Round 8
Dovan misses Katrina as she dodges his stab. Katrina brings her bone sword down and cuts Dovan for 4 damage, slicing into his shirt and leaving a decent wound there as well. Nightwing misses with both of his strikes as he is taken down by Auchs. Quince tries for the wall but fails to make purchase let alone over the wall.

Katrina dodges Dovan's stab and cuts the large Auchs dropping him.

Saren pushes the horse out of his way as he slips by it and rushes in to strike at the one fighting alone with his cleric! His greatsword comes down and Dovan dodges it.
