Darian, Josef & Joanna combine blades and skill to quickly cut the Troll down, but you can hear heavy footsteps coming from the western passage.
2 Rounds to prepare as the passages are not sized for Trolls.
Darian points to Johanna to take a position on the opposite side of the door as him.
Josef will stand in clear view of the Western passage opening, on the far side of the room, to try to draw the troll between his companions.
The plan is to do a Dazzling Display once it is close enough, if it gives me the time to do it.
I'll probably say something Josef thinks is both funny and taunting, too, but that's just for fun.

Johanna nods and takes up position readying herself to attack.
A troll grunts with effort as it forces it's way out of the tight passage.

Johanna stabs but the attack is clumsy as she was too excited waiting for the creature to come through the opening.
Freya hurls another ball of flame at the lead troll.

Lisl moves to the southern passage and brings her shield up in a guard position, waiting for the troll coming that way to arrive so that she can block it in place.
Darian also thrusts his blade up and towards the troll's ribs.
The mauled troll squeezes out of the tight passage and slashes at...
Missing Joanna with a wild swing.
you can hear another troll moving up behind Red, and Lisl can hear a troll coming down the south passage.
The party can now act.
Darian takes another slash at the troll, the concern on his face becoming quite evident with the number of giants advancing on them...
Figuring that she's about to be in combat with another troll, Lisl armors herself with divine protection.
Josef shakes his head. "Darian? You owe these guys money, or what?"
He moves up next to Lisl. "You don't need to be here. I'm going to need you to patch me up, again, I'm sure. But I can keep it off of everyone else. Get back out of range. PLEASE."
Darian wounds Red, Joanna ends it's life with a nasty stab deep into it's lungs.
Purple is squeezing down the stairs towards Josef & Lisl.
Yellow growls as it squeezes its self out after Red falls.
The party can act now.
As the new arrivals make their way in, Darian slices at its calf muscle before replying to Josef ”Funny, and here I was wondering if perhaps you had maybe bedded one of these things wife...”
Josef laughs. "I don't want to think about how long the bath afterwards would take!" He's too busy at the moment to give a pretend shudder, but you can picture it hearing him.
Meanwhile, he looks to the beast before him and goes to work.
Obviously, the concept distracted him some, though.
"Lisl? You don't need to be up here . . .."

Lisl backs up behind Josef, but keeps her shield up and stays close on his left side.
Freya expends the last of her spell, hurling a ball of flame in the direction of the troll engaged with Josef.

Badly wounded by Josef and then burned by Freya the purple troll howls in rage and lashes back.
The cramped passage making his blows miss.
Yellow emerges and lashes out at....

Darian thrusts his blade up and between a pair of the troll’s ribs! He twists it and leans into it, hoping to pierce the giant’s heart!

Josef does some posturing and misdirection, naturally, but his real attempts to hurt the thing are little more than slashes across it's torso.

Johanna keeps stabbing.
"We need some fire over here."
Purple only has a scrap of life left in him when Josef cuts him twice deeply. The Isabel's bolt buries its self in his eye and sends him to the ground.
Darian & Joanna finish off yellow, but can see his wounds closing even as he collapses.
What are you doing now?
Darian keeps his blade plunged into the trolls heart, twisting it to keep the troll down. ”Someone burn this one. Johanna and I will hold this passage. The rest of you follow Josef and check where that set of stairs leads. If it is anything more than a dead end, call back to us and we will follow.”
Freya walks over and recalling her produce flame spell via her pearl of power. After recasting the spell, she touches the downed troll's forehead.

"Yes, Daddy. Leaving something on the floor for you, here, in case." He taps the troll at his feet with his blade, before flicking the troll blood off of it as he goes to move forward, depending, again, on that silly little ioun stone.
He calls back down the stairs. "Stops at the tower. NARROW stairs going up."
R3. Watchtower
A wide flight of stone stairs leads up to a circular chamber with a high ceiling. A foul stench fills the air, emanating from the layers of filth caked on the floor.
The stairs in these room lead to the roof, allowing you to keep a watch on the path leading up to the outpost. Clearing the Troll selected for this position wasn't particularly observant.
What are you doing now?
Taking the time, Josef climbs the steps and verifies there's no one waiting on top of the tower before returning to the room where the others are waiting.
"Okay, so, we go that way, then. Coming through!" Josef pushes his way to the front and starts exploring down the other path.
Darian falls in directly beside Josef, shield up and prepared for combat. "So far so good...I wonder what trolls are doing here..."
You reach A4.
From the passage north you hear movement and growling.
From the southern passage you hear silence.
What now?
"Do we have resources to stay and burn these creatures? We wouldn't want to get too deep and in a fight and overwhelmed."
”Isabel can carry a torch and finish them off as we drop them,” Darian says.
When the reach the intersection and hear the growling, he nods for Josef to head that way and falls in beside him, shield up and on the defensive.
"The flame on my hand will stay for a fair amount of time, as long as I don't chose to hurl it at anything."
Josef nods back before starting to pantomime an "after you." He stops part of the way into the bow, though, raising a finger and waggling it back and forth as he moves forward, grinning the while.
R5. Kennel
Three thick chains are bolted to the northern wall, and the floor is covered with bones, half-eaten rotting meat, and mounds of foul-smelling dung.
Three disgustingly ugly Trollhounds are in here, growling and barking at you, straining at their chains in their desire to get to you.
