To be honest, it only works up till the moment that monsters start getting bigger. While I haven't played a druid before, I do DM a lot in real-life and the CMD (but also CMB) of monsters is just too damn high once you hit lvl6..

True, but animal companions tend to increase in size with druid levels. Plus there's always 'animal growth' spells. Hehe.

To be honest, most people approach the game too much from a single player perspective. Group buffs, flanking and debuffs are the way to go. It's relatively easy to stack conditions on enemies now, yet, you rarely see people utilising it in groups..

I have a druid with a snake grappling companion in PFS and I really like him. he can take out side threats while the party focuses on the main threat. It is a perfect party role that the snake can provide.

I am going to be traveling for the next few days, I'll try to update, but it will be spotty at best.

Paewyn and Delphinia are interested in another game.

What are you looking for? I am thinking about a linked series of normal PFS adventures but I am open to other possibilities.

I am personally playing in 05-01, Glass River Rescue, so I don't want to run that.

Any others strike your fancy? Or would you prefer a longer module like what you just went through? The Snows of Summer part 1 has a chronicle sheet for 1-2 level characters, and another at 5-7. But they are longer types like you just went through, although a bit more open ended and very well written in my opinion.

I second that. I've not played any of the PFS adventures either, so I'd be happy to be included in any of them. :)

I am currently playing in 5-01 as well. I DMing snows of summer so I could play it though I would be at an advantage with everyone vulnerable to fire.

Let's not do Snows of Summer since Delphinia is running it (btw, is that is cool as it looks?).

What say you? The last one has some comments about not for first levels and takes good role playing - but you are all at least second level and you do role play well.

I am also open to a module. List of Sanctioned Modules ...you need to dig into these to see if they work for your level; not many are really for low level types. But there is some good potential for future games.

Oh yeah, right; because putting the sorceress in melee always ends so well... :p

One day, when I get to roll stats and end up with 4 scores of above 14, I'll play a melee wizard .. ! A transmutation specialist with str18 and con/dex14+ and a decent int <should> be playable :P

Some quick questions:

1) My sheet says xp gained 3. That means I leveled up, right?
2) I'm reading the latest PFS guide and it says the Shadow Lodge has been retired. So .. I guess I'll join the Sczarni. That's no problem, right?
3) Gold. I can spend it on PFS legal items, but where do you want me to keep track of it? Here by post and then also on my online character sheet?

You levelled up (because a sanctioned module gives you 3 exp unlike the shorter one you are playing now, which will give you one exp point). You are now 2nd level. You can spend it on anything in the chronicle sheet or other stuff that is listed in the PFS guide. A copy of the guide can be downloaded for free HERE .

You are required to keep your chronicle sheets and track expenses and etc on them (the guide explains how) and show them to your GM upon his/her request.

On an online game like this, I prefer you let me know about the big stuff (like Delphinia did) and you are on the honor system for the rest.

If you show up with a +5 scimitar, I think we will catch you!

AND I forgot to give out faction missions. So expect them to be coming your way tonight.

Az'Avis - a faction mission is a mission for your faction (who'd a thought) that gives you prestige and fame within your faction. The players guide explains the value of and difference between prestige and fame.

Keith: To fill you in on Amarthecthel's schtick:

Whenever he takes a full attack, he gets two attacks at full BAB with his rapier, and gets to use one of them to also channel a spell. This will most often be frostbite with the rime metamagic feat. Sometimes it will be shocking grasp.
