A few rules...which are not hard and fast, but more of a guideline.
Have fun!
Use the dice rolling method for your characters so everyone can see what you do. Roll damage in the same post. An example:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 to hit
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 for damage
Same with all skill checks, etc.
I will probably roll secretly....unless I figure out a way to do the "hide the roll" thing.
I will post an initiative order for each combat. The important thing is for the group to alternate with the bad guys. Its generally not so important who goes first between the characters.
Generally you should post in character in game-play, and OOC in the discussion forum.
It might take me a bit to figure out the best way to post maps. So bear with me on this.

One of the first things we need to decide is what to play.
I am open for almost anything but I want it to start at low level.
Options:
season 3 or 4 scenario. Well made, easy to understand, but less of a connection between scenarios. Which is a plus in case any of us don't like this method, or a minus if you are looking for a long game. Should get 1 xp per scenario.
sanctioned module. A bit longer than a scenario, but fun. Still lacks the longer connection of an adventure path. Not sure how many xp you get per module. Guessing 2 or 3.
adventure path. A lot longer than either of the other two choices. Not all of The Snows of Summer convert to PFS xp. Takes quite a commitment to get through it.
Let me know what you think.

Greetings! I prefer an official AP like Reign of Winter or Kingmaker. I'm currently playing Shattered Star on here and Council of Thieves with real-life friends (all be it at an excruciatingly slow pace).
I'm pretty versatile with what classes I can and like to play and can fill in a missing role if need be.

Neil Mansell |

Hiya. Cheers for the invite!
I'm not overly picky to be honest, but I have played a few PFS games in the past, which makes it a little tricky.
PFS: Season 3:
#3-03: The Ghenett Manor Gauntlet
#3-04: The Kortos Envoy (PFRPG)
#3-06: Song of the Sea Witch
#3-09: The Quest for Perfection—Part I: The Edge of Heaven
#3-11: The Quest for Perfection—Part II: On Hostile Waters
#3-13: The Quest for Perfection—Part III: Defenders of Nesting Swallow
#3–23: The Goblinblood Dead
#3–26: Portal of the Sacred Rune
PFS: Season 4:
#4–03: The Golemworks Incident (PFRPG)
#4–04: King of the Storval Stairs
#4–15: The Cyphermage Dilemma (PFRPG)
MODULES:
Murder's Mark
Dawn of the Scarlet Sun
Cult of the Ebon Destroyers
The Ruby Phoenix Tournament
ADVENTURE PATHS:
Second Darkness (GMed)
Kingmaker (GMed)
Level 3 Elf Magus
Level 3/2 Human Druid/Wizard
Level 7 Human Rage prophet
Level 11 Halfling Cleric of Asmodeus
I'm not overly concerned on the choice of game. I suppose if I HAD to choose one, I'd lean towards the PFS game.
EDIT: Woops, used wrong avatar

Keith S. |

OK, lots of mixed opinions. I think I am going to stick with a module
I vote for the Godsmouth Heresy (link below)
http://paizo.com/products/btpy8hil?Pathfinder-Module-The-Godsmouth-Heresy
OR
Crypt of the Everflame
http://paizo.com/products/btpy89c9?Pathfinder-Module-Crypt-of-the-Everflame
Both have good reviews, but the Crypt of the Everflame has two additional modules (sequels) if we want to go further.
I will give folks a few hours to post your thoughts, then I will pick one and download it.

Crypt of the Everflame it is.
Everyone needs a first level character to start this module. You will all be young adventurers starting out in your home town of Kassen, by performing a rite of passage with others your age.
Talk amongst yourselves and decide what classes everyone will be. Each character will need a PFS number if you want a chronicle sheet and experience.
I need to get a handle on how many folks we have (I invited 6).

Full Metal Ferret |

Hiya all. Thanks for invite.
Looks like Crypt of the Everflame is the chosen module. Which is great because I know nothing about it. :)
Just FYI though; I've not yet played any PFS modules, so whatever I come up with will be my first PFS character. So if I screw up on anything related to PFS play please be nice, and simply let me know what I did wrong.
As for characters I have a preference for playing sorcerers or barbarians, but I do have an idea for an oracle with the life mystery and channeling ability. But I'll happily fill out any role needed in the party.

Marchello Aria |

Hey, thanks very much for having me on board, looking forward to playing with you all. Thanks GM for setting all of this up.
The Crypt works for me, I like the option of having a story arc in a PFS scenario.
I can play Marchello, an undead hunting Inquisitor or an Urban Ranger archer, prefer the Inquisitor if that works.

I will make a character I have been wanting to try out for quite sometime now. She will be a half-elf menhir savant Druid/summoner. I prefer to start her as a summoner however if we lack the divine I will go Druid first.
Give me a day to come up with the stats and a couple to come up with a back story.

Full Metal Ferret |

Okay, since this will be the first PFS character for me, I'd appreciate any feedback from folks here before I go ahead and log it. Stat block for an arcane sorcerer follows. Please rip it to shreds and tell me where I'm going wrong; For a start I should probably swap the Intelligence and Wisdom scores?

I am alright with picking something everyone can play. We have not started, so punting a player already seems a bit premature.
Is everyone good with the Godsmouth Heresty?

Keith S. |

Alright, we will try that one then.
When you have a "final" character, please post (in character, mayhap?) in the gameplay are to tell us a bit about your lad (or lass).
By counting such posts, we will see who has accepted the offer to play.
I plan to start off this weekend - probably on Saturday.

Krass Kargoth |

So far we got (and correct me if I'm wrong):
-Human Sorceress
-Druid (menhir savant)
-Inquisitor (undead hunter)
-Dwarf Fighter
Dak is opting between a rogue and a cleric. Perhaps I can try out a cavalier (huntmaster? I've never played one before and we could use another front-liner and some utility :)

Keith S. |

As a note, I don't have internet access at work (except via my phone during dull times, which seem to never happen). So most of my posting will be in the evenings and weekends (I am in the U.S. in central daylight time).
A balanced party is usually best - and you look like you are getting there.
Eventually I need a handy listing of your characters and critical info - like saving throws, initiative, etc. We will figure out the best way to get that to me later. I used to run Dark Heresy on Obsidian Portal - and uploading your character was easy. Still looking for a way to do that on these forums.

Krass Kargoth |

I'll build a cavalier (huntmaster - order of the dragon). Armed with a (scorpion) whip and flanked by his loyal dog, he'll take on any foe. That is, if we got enough healing/casting support to have another front-liner :)

Keith S. |

Hello....I am running a test with a map. Can you tell me if you can use this link?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/lh9p607pbp99tli/desert%20TIAMAT.jpg

Keith S. |

does it show as a link? it just shows as an internet address in my post.
Did you have to recopy this into a web browser, or did you just click it?
I must confess - my biggest issue in my online games is dealing with maps.

Keith S. |

With my map problem mostly solved, I am much closer to kicking this off.
Please post in the gameplay forum (which I think you can see) when you have a character ready to go.
There are still a few map issues. Mainly, the maps in the pdf are not high quality. When I cut them out to use in the game, they are either small or fuzzy. If needed, I can redraw a lot of them using Tiamat.
I will need to put some tokens on the map too. Just need to figure out how to get the tokens you are using and put them in. And need to figure out which tokens you are using (hence the need for you to post in character in the gameplay section).
The game starts this Saturday, 6/8.

Keith S. |

And all the characters I have seen so far look good to me. However, it is a bit hard to track if I am looking at 7 characters from one person, or 7 characters from 5 people, so maybe I have not seen as many as I think I have....

Krass Kargoth |

Okay, I got some questions. Say I want to play an character who hails from an arctic region (Linnorn Kingdoms for example) with a walrus companion.
1) The Additional Resources document says the Walrus is legal and the thing has a normal speed and swim speed and isn't aquatic/amphibious. So that's cool, right?
2) A gnome gets a bonus on a craft or profession of his choice. Does this mean I must put it into a profession? Or has this ability been altered? My google-fu couldn't find an answer to this.
