Kennos Slynt
My life story hmm
Kennos ponder for a moment then his eyes and face quickly light up
I can tell you some tales of the arena if you like?
Kennos clears his throat
Oratory: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
I stood there, My feet dug into the sand, waiting for the nightmare to begin.
Kennos strikes a low dramatic cord on his lute
The helmet upon my head covered my eyes almost to complete darkness and the sword I carried was more then half my height. Many years of desperation and immense poverty now I stood there. The crackling of whips upon the arena floor echoed from the guards surrounding us on horses. I stumbled into the centre, my backs facing inwards towards the other gladiators. I stood looking up at the spectators, wishing I could be somewhere else, but there was nowhere else I could have been. The one thing I had left was the will to keep on fighting, fighting for fame, fighting for glory. The gates opened abruptly causing a gush of wind which caused My helmet to wobble I was Barely a boy then. Out of the darkness came the sudden intrusion of more than twenty men dressed in black amour upon their horses. The five of us faced this new devilry. The time had come. We formed a circle best we could with such little numbers, our shields a barrier to the enemy. The men charged unnerved at our shield wall; though their attempt to break it failed. Another line of vicious cavalry charged at the wall. Alas, it was to no avail as the We held them back, more determined than ever. The blood thirsty men circled us in hope that the we would be lulled into battle. We saw Our opportunity; We charged at the men, swinging our swords through the filthy air, striking anything that fell in our path. When the dust settled on the field we were seen to be victorious and ever since have been known as the mighty five
Kennos stands up and takes a bow
There is one but many of my stories
He says sitting back down
You will probably hear them all in time but next time it should be at an inn with some drinks in our hands and some wine in our bellies
Davos Bixby
Davos sits back in the chair listening to the story from Kennos
"What a remarkable of a story Kennos, actually I shouldn't be much longer doing this scroll would you be willing to wait for me and we can head to the library together? Two heads are better than one".
Drazhak Grimbold
"A stirring tale my friend. I look forward to hearing more."
Drazhak places his battleaxe on the floor and removes a small pouch from his backpack. He then draws from his belt a light mace and dagger. Placing them on the table, he goes about cleaning his weapons, oiling and polishing the steel until it shone like silver.
Gelbor Halus
Stepping back into the house Gelbor nods at the group.
"Here you go" He hands Davos his potion and scroll and Dom his two potions.
"So the plan is? There not a lot of information on the Crow, i know abit about it."
He then takes a seat, pulling out an apple and his silver dagger.
"It's located half a mile from the Dockway, it's a massive stone monument rising from the water, it's just a massive stone pillar that supported the Ire span, we can easily reach it by boat. But if you wish to do more research we could always set off tomorrow."
He finishes cutting away at his apple, and throws the core in the bin.
"But i'm getting a little restless, what do the rest of you think?"
Kennos Slynt
If you've all full recovered from the events of yesterday we can set off if you wish? but i would think it wise to wait at least till natalya recovers, she may have more information for us which could help in our investigation of these ruins and better under stand why that woman attacked you to get the shard and natalya
Davos Bixby
"Thank you very much Gelbor"
Davos says with a smile on his face
"Well I would like to head to the library try and find more information on the crow and more information about the shards today"
Kennos Slynt
Well If Davos hits the library ill see if I can find anyone who knows a bit about history I can gather information off, obviously I will be discrete about it don't want to draw too much attention
Don Domingo Delagroza
ahh these I dont leave home without, thank you gelbor
I will need at least another day before heading out, my ribs still feel like they are cracked and the grip in my left hand feels a little weak. That cross bow bolt did more damage than I first thought.
I would be grateful Drazhak if you could do anything to speed up my recovery
domingo says swhile gingerly feeling his side and flexing the fingers of his left hand.
Drazhak Grimbold
"Very well." Drazhak turns to Don Domingo and Aemon. "Another day to rest and for me to tend to your wounds. I will bind your wounds, stitch any cuts you have, bind your ribs Dom oningo, if they are broken, and apply salve to whatever other abraisions and knocks you have suffered. I prefer not to call on the power of my Deity without dire need, so I need you to take complete rest for the entire day. I suggest you both remove your armour and tunics so I can examine your wounds. This will take some time I'm afraid."
Kennos Slynt
Kennos looks over at Domingo and Gelbor unclothed he notices the bruises and cuts still on them and the aches they feel as they move
You both hide your pain well I did not realise you were still so hurt,As a mark of our new friend ship I shall help you both
He touches Domingo on the shoulder CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
and then Gelbor CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
He catches Davos attention and makes a face and pretends to wipe something on the back of the chair after he has touched Gelbor
Don't ever say I don't do anything for you
He says with a grin on his face
Two Level 1 spells used
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo watches with a degree of morbid fascination as the hideous black and purple bruise that covers his left side, rapidly lightens in colour and fades away to nothing, taking the dull persistent throbbing pain with it.
Clenching his fist with a smile he clasps kennos on the shoulder.
now that is a usefull skill, I do envy you spell casters sometimes. Thank you kennos, I am more than ready to head out now.
Hp 21
Drazhak Grimbold
Drazhak shrugs his shoulders, shakes his head and laughs.
"Well, it seems the imatience of youth wins the day. Well done my musical friend! However, I find that a spell used in haste when a day's rest partaking of fine wine and good food is not always the path of the wise." He claps Kennos on the shoulder and packs away his unused healer's kit.
If we do venture forth today and find ourselves in a tight spot, he may regret that action. I hope not... He thinks.
Gelbor Halus
"Thank you Drazhak, and Slynt i'm feeling a lot better. You two are better than the last guy we had all he did for me and Dom was throw bombs at us and set us on fire."
With a smile on his face, Gelbor pats both men on the back.
Current HP: 18/19 - 19/19 if we get full rest.
Kennos Slynt
Davos if you head to library, i'm going to ask sheila if she knows anyone in the city who may know some more information, then if we meet at the nags foot later we can discuss our findings over food and a drink say meet there when the sun begins to set? Any of you wish to join us on our fact finding mission? save you waiting round all day for us also its handy to have a well built man when about town asking questions
kennos sets off to find sheila with who ever wants to join him
Davos Bixby
Davos looks bit puzzled to what Kennos did on the back of Gelbors chair
What a strange character this Kennos is seems to joke around
"An excellent idea, I shall head right away to make sure get much time as possible, I know of a local library that I can use
Two questions like to find information out if possible, about The Crow, and the other six shards. If only one then the Crow
Gelbor Halus
Gelbor waves them off. "I think i'll rest up here for the day." He stretches out and puts his feet on the table. He rubs his nose, and speaks to Davos and Slynt. "Good luck unraveling the ancient mysteries you should really find an expert of these types of things better get to asking around town. Get stuck in could take you all day."
He then waits for them to leave.
"I'm not sure where this idea of heading to a library came from, we have an expert in the next room and she's given us all the information she has on the Crow." With a smile on his face he shakes his head. "I guess it gives us a little break."

Drazhak Grimbold
Kennos. I could use a walk. I will accompany you. I would like to visit the Guardians on the way. I hear interesting things about that particular monument.
intend to meditate at the monument to see what happens
JZ-Sheila Heidmarch
Davos, Kennos - knowledge history check. +5 for the library.
As for the rest of you...
Later that day Sheila returns, finding Gelbor and Domingo in the study.
She pours herself what appears to be a stiff brandy and flops into a chair.
Can (Her husband) and I have finished questioning Natalya. A tiring and frustrating business. She says her memory is hazy and I believe her and also says she is very regretful about what she did to you all - I believe her about that too. The shard seemed to twist her perception. Domingo I'm sure you could attest to that.
She takes a sip of her liquor, a thoughtful look on her face.
She was able to give some useful information however. Firstly she knows nothing about these disappearances throughout Magnimar - a shame, that's a task the mayor has asked for Pathfinder assistance with and that reward money would have been useful to expand the east wing.
The complex in the Crow is far larger than those located in the other pickings. The Tower Girls have also adopted it as their new base - that's how she found the shard in the first place. Sadly she couldn't give me an idea of numbers as she made her escape before the gang had moved in in force. One thing that is very relevant however is that she disclosed their leader.. is afflicted with lycanthropy. This makes her a dangerous opponent.
Don Domingo Delagroza
so it looks like we will have to deal with these thieves, one way or another.
I am not familiar with that word , what is this affliction she has? Lycanthropy did you say? It rings a bell but I don't know what that means
JZ-Sheila Heidmarch
Lycanthropy is a supernatural curse which resembles a disease. It can be contracted by being bitten by a lycanthrope such as a werewolf or wererat. The affliction remains dormant until the next full moon, whereupon the victim undergoes an involuntary transformation into an animal and becomes filled with an uncontrollable rage and blood lust. The victim generally retains no memory of any events experienced while transformed, and returns to his or her normal form upon sunrise.
Lycanthropy can also be passed on from a mother to her offspring. Children born with lycanthropy are known as natural lycanthropes, and it is only they who can pass on the affliction through their bite. Natural lycanthropes have greater control over their transformation, and do not suffer from loss of memory.
Some believe that it was the demon lord Jezelda who first brought lycanthropy to Golarion, although her faithful dispute this claim.
Pure silver has proven effective against the creatures in the past.
Aemon Brooks
"Very interesting Sheila, is there anyway we could talk the Tower girls down? get some reason in to them? their leads sounds like the sort where talking wont work."
Gelbor then fall to the floor, grabbing his leg he screams.
"Ahh, i've got cramp in my leg. This rest does not seem to be helping me i feel worse than i did this morning. I'm feel so run down."
Davos Bixby
Davos strolls into the central library of Magnimar, its a huge building with vast wealth of knowledge has thousands of books across the the old wooden shelves. Davos walks across the library's marble flooring to find the history section and starts to look around through the archives and manuscripts to use.
Upon finding few books and pieces of information on the Crow and The Shattered Star, Davos finds and empty desk he can use he sets his satchel down removes his notebook.
Knowledge History: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35
Kennos Slynt
kennos dissapointed by the fact he can't find sheila but not put off continues on his journey
Drazhak we will pop into the libarary quickly then go see that monument you wanted?
When they arrive he see davos sitting at a table studying hard he looks at the pile of books he is looking through
ahh heres the one pulling a book out of the pile
he pishes davos out of the way and starts reading it
knowledge history: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
ahh perhaps not, sorry my friend
he dusts the chair off for davos to sit back down
well we shall be off to the monument we shall meet you at the nags foot later.
he does a mocking bow and points his arm out gesturing the way for drazhak to go
After you Drazhak
Davos Bixby
Davos doesn't seem to amused by kennos's way of handling the book
"Yes yes I shall see you there shan't forget"
Drazhak Grimbold
"Very well. See you at the Inn Davos."
Drazhak turns and strides from the Library, using the haft of his battleaxe as a walking stick. In the street he turns towards the direction of the Twin Gates and the Guardians.
As he moves forward he thinks. I am intrigued to find out if the rumours about meditation under the arch are true. We shall see.
J do you want to summarise this at the end (or describe the visit to the monument?)
JamZilla

Just within the Twin’s Gate stand the Guardians, one of the city’s larger monuments. These 200 foot tall colossi depicting the young heroes Cailyn and Romre Vanderale face each other with burning staves held high, forming a giant arch. The Guardians stand at the southernmost end of the broad Avenue of Hours, which runs from the city wall all the way north to Indros cul Vydrarch Plaza and the Pediment Building, and as such they serve as one of the most notable landmarks for both Naos and the Capital District. The brothers Vanderale themselves are well regarded in the towns’ history, and many young Magnimarians strive to “be like the brothers” when they grow up.
Drawback cannot help but marvel at the figures and the respect and Honor they represent. He finds a quiet bench that looks upon the monument and spends a few minutes in quiet contemplation.
Drazhak make a knowledge arcana check.
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo looks at Gelbor with some concern,
maybe all that filth in the sewer has festered inside him, he did have a lot of it in his wounds when he fell, I got some of it out when I stopped the bleeding but it was everywhere
she is right my friend you look terrible, go lie down and I'll get Drazhak to come check on you when he's back, he seems very knowledgable when it comes to healing.
This lycanthropy sounds bad, I have no desire to end up as a mindless beast! Is it curable once you have it or is there some way of preventing the disease? Other than trying to not get bit
Kennos Slynt
Kennos waits patiently some distance from Drazhak as he is mediating, to amuse him self he pulls out his lute and starts to play
Performance String: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Don Domingo Delagroza
I agree with that, I would feel better knowing I had some kind of protection against this vile disease. I'll ask the others when they get back maybe one of them will know something.
So silver hurts them? I'll need to get a silver blade of some sort. I don't suppose you have anything here I could borrow?
Davos Bixby
Davos left displeased as unable to find any more information on the Crow and the shard. Davos places the books back and heads to the inn nags foot for a much needed drink.
"Good evening Inn keeper, pint of ale would you please".
