By the gods all the halflings!!!! XD Anyways welcome to the game! I personally think we should be fine with your current role ^^
@Mag D: I'm really sorry to hear that. . . I hope everything works out for ya in the end!
@dunebugg will this canadianess effect the game? Shall the milk come in bag in Sandpoint? >.>' I dont know if I could process that. XP nah just kidding I been up to Toronto a few times its nice ^^ and besides when I was on Ragnarok I was on a Canadian server so I was celebratong all your holidays anyways X3 but yep Memorial day was yesterday which means bbqs galor in the States @.@ I had 4 foot lomg hot dogs in one sitting. . .I regret nothing

I've also never seen milk in bags. What the heck is up with that myth? I'm from the middle of the desolate prairies where we get to boast such accomplishments as having colder weather than the Artic Circle some years. My city specifically is about -40F to -50F all winter... And our winter is 4-6 months. We're enjoying the sunny season of construction right now :)
@Lipp: Magnauk was melee, so we currently have 2 dedicated melee, 2 spellcasters, and 1 archer. Fill in wherever you like, really. You can join the party as they are JUST about to leave the city (or in the process of it). Just scream and run after them, Ameiko would have told you as you were about to sit down for breakfast.
@All the ameiko crushes: lol.

Also, lol@Pathfinder winter rules.
Extreme cold (below –20° F) deals 1d6 points of lethal damage per minute (no save). In addition, a character must make a Fortitude save (DC 15, +1 per previous check) or take 1d4 points of nonlethal damage.
That's about -30C.. Which is warm winter weather for me. :\ Waiting for the bus would kill half the population of Canada with those rules.

Hey, I don't have a romantic crush! I just look up to her :)
Also, sounds like yer awful close to me... winnipeg here. I'm guessing you're either in manitoba or in the rectangle next door.
I'll leave the build as is then. I would've been at the Dragon last night, probably performing for the crowds and hoping for some attention from my hero. Woke up late, went for breakfast and then heard about the goblins. I'll be running to catch up at some point when it seems appropriate then.

Is that with no winter clothing maybe? It should totally be non lethal damage, until you hit 0 and go unconscious, then it would definitely be dealing lethal. If I run outside for a minute in -30 to go flip the steaks (Yes, I still grill in that weather), I don't need healing!

You're a Halfling, don't you look up to pretty much everyone?
Nakitu Jiyoki
O.O -20 would give me lethal damage for sure. I'm from California. When its 50 we consider it freezing XD also whou said Nakitu had a crush on Ameiko?! Hmmmmm? They are just best friends not saying nothing is in the cards but if so that would develope later. Preferably after Ameiko shares at least one line of dialouge with him xP but still for right now all I see them as is friends and besides what woth Nakitu's condition I dont see him successfully persuong any romances in this game. Also I forgot that same charisma check to turn us from mere best friends to BEST FRENDZ!!!
Further my post wont be coming for a few more hours as well becauss of work.

Oh I found my posts I was going to make in both gameplay and discussion.. In a hidden chrome window - apparently I had like 26 tabs open across 9 different windows... "Show Desktop" is an evil button haha.
Yesterday was incredibly hectic again, this is not normal for me! I will try to get my posting frequency back up.

About to hit the road this morning and head to a wedding up north. I may be able to post later today but if I'm not able I will be back in town Sunday evening and will be able to pick back up then.
Have a great weekend all.

Sorry all, work was unusually hectic this week with the shortened work week and all. Will get a post up shortly.

DB- Would it be possible for me to change 2 of my spells out before it has any in game effect?
First, I would like to change Bless to Cause Fear because we essentially have 2 bards in the group and do not need another morale bonus that would not stack.
Second, I would like to change Cure Light Wounds to Blessing of Courage and Life because I liked BCL better once read it.

It's rare to get a party with many over 12 Cha.. let alone 16!
As a side note, for some skills (perception, Knowledge, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Sense Motive, maybe others) I won't ALWAYS call for them. If you think it's an appropriate time to use the skill, go ahead and use it.
Will update after class!

;.; wha-what? I'm just gonna go cry now @~@ for a while
EDITED!!!!
WAIT!!!! HOLD IT!!!! You forgot something!!!!!
Everytime you declare an attack on me I get a chance to use my Adoration ability that funtions as Sanctuary he has to pass a DC 13 Will save to confirm a hit!
So technically non of those rolls were even supposed to happen until a Will save was made

Edited with one last attempt to save my sorry behind ^^' I noticed that Nakitu noticed Walthus wasn't as he said he was which should have occured on my turn as opposed to his making it so that Nakitu shouldn't have been taken by surprise and thus flat footed ^^'
EI: If a rogue were to use its sneak attack in the first round of combat but I clearly saw it coming would I be considered flat footed? I saw that this was not Walthus but a disguised creature in my round before it attacked thus to me I should not have been flat footed.
Also if people could not post until this is settled I would appreciate it as that means I have a greater chance of living because the story wont be carrying on with Nakitu dead ^^'
Also sorry if I seem at all defiant here because trust me I'm not I really listen to all the rules the DM lays out I just am fighting for my character here who I put many hours into making I hope you understand

At the very least I think you wouldn't have stepped up to him after that roll for sense motive, however the perception roll was rolled after the heal and more importantly after you were trying to use diplomacy on him, and diplomacy according to the rules takes 10 minutes.
He did beat us in initiative however and could just as easily charge you if he felt threatened or exposed, but if he has to roll a bluff check it could move that natural 20.
Caerwyn Callandriil
Unfortunately a surprise round is just that, surprising. Unless you are able to react in the surprise round and you are higher in the initiative order you are still flat-footed until you react.
dunebugg
Nakitu: yes, you would still be flat footed. You've found the inherent issue with the d20 combat system. While we as players and GMs are forced to think about combat in rounds and turns, actually it's all happening at the same time. Each "round" is 6 seconds long, and each "turn" happens simultaneously. So while you were able to react, it still was not quick enough as he initiated it. And truthfully - if you saw something ripple over his skin, what would your character do? Stop and stare curiously? Panic and run? Attack out of fear? You've now found the issue with Play-by-post where to move things at a quick enough pace to actually enjoy an entire adventure, I have to give all sorts of information all at once sometimes.
Because you succeeded on your Perception check, you were able to react to the danger. Just... slower than the stalker was able to create it. You got the free round of combat, but you're still flat-footed until you act, as Caerwynn pointed out.
I'd REALLY rather not get into the habit of fudging dice, for good or ill, and it's something I don't like doing at my table either.
As a side note that responds to Louise, all of my "secret" rolls (disguise, bluff, stealth) I am rolling in front of me on my desk and jotting down the values.
Just this once I will link to the creature - just to show how crazy his skills are. I remember when I fought this thing in my play-through of JR, he was a joke. But my GM is pretty awful...
Furthermore:
...In the
unlikely event that the PCs heal him and cure his poison,
he cackles in delight and attacks as soon as he’s fully healed.
Playing it by the book as best I can and it sorta just pooped on you :(
dunebugg
Also: you take some huge risks when you run with 10 Con.
8HP + 10 Con = you can take 18 damage (I always kill at the next point, so 19 before you die)
bump Con to 12..
9HP + 12 Con = 21 damage without death. So closer, but not enough.
Rolling max also was reaaaaaaaally painful (I even rolled damage twice). In my home game I enforce a minimum 12 Con threshold, lol. I had 2 characters die because they didn't follow that rule...
Nakitu Jiyoki
*sigh* well I DO still have more reasons why this hopefully would not have happened but I cansee tthat you have already made a decision and I'll respect that.
As far as making a new character though I will try but nothing is really coming to me at the moment ;.; the fact that my beloved character I spent 10 hours creating and two weeks roleplaying died in the first round of combat accomplishing nothing has really kind of turned me off to this whole D&D thing. :c not a great way for a newbie to begin I suppose ^^' anything I can think of right now just seems like a lackluster replacement character @.@ so give me a few days to make a new character if I can't do it feel free to replace me. Anyways for now some serious looking is in order and I simply must attend to it.
