Round 1 - Enemy
Escape grapple vs CMD 26: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (4) + 25 = 29
The massive spider-like thing rips itself free of Elleros' spell and scuttles across the ice to extricate itself completely.
Meanwhile the other one spins when it senses the incoming threat from the air. It's mandibles chitter horribly and suddenly it belches up a huge line of spittle that splatters over Greyston, Corum and their mounts!

Corum you saved for half damage
The spittle is icy cold and freezes almost instantly upon contact, tangling the wings of the dragonkin. Corum's mount wheels at the last moment and avoids the worst of it but unable to flap it's wings, Greyston's plummets down into the icy field below!
Falling damage to Greyston and mount: 6d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 5, 2, 5) = 22
Round 2 - Heroes

Corum Mac Roth |

alright then. It's on! How far below us that thing?

Greyston Fenris |

Greyston can feel the broken bones, smell the burning skin he doesn't want to move maybe here now it would be easier to just die. But he can't, he won't.
Pushing himself up on to shaky legs, he looks about making sure everyone else is ok, seeing he is the only one to fall he pulls at his satchel rearranging it then takes out a large red vial and drinks it.

Elleross Oronar |

As the creature belches forth it’s freezing spittle Elleross looks on in horror as Greyston and his mount plummet toward the ground
Pinar, cadent! he barks the words of power and gestures toward them instantly slowing Greystons fall .
casting feather fall on Greyston, I’m assuming the dragon kin are large creatures? If so I can’t cast it on them as well

Corum Mac Roth |

As they swoop down toward the spider thing Corum draws his sword. Keen to join the battle he ignores the biting cold from the beast's venom and leaps from the back of the Dragon kin.
As he plummets toward his foe his rage engulfs him. Adrenaline surges and he roars with triumph as he smashes into the beast with a huge crash.

Lucrezzia Luzatto |

From her perch on the Dragonkin's back, Lucrezzia chants and points at the predator that Corum is not rudely mounting. An aura of stone surrounds the thing until...
Flesh to Stone DC22 Fort Save

Corrleon Daxio |

Corrleon, shaking his head at Corum as he plummets downward, snaps off another series of shots. (If Lucrezzia's target finally fails a save, I'll aim for the one that isn't turned to stone!)

Fort save: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 oof
Sorry Lucrezzia, it's the high risk, high reward nature of save-or-die spells I guess.
The massive creature shakes off Lucrezzia's chicanery and screeches in fury as an arrow catches it directly in the flank.

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15 Fail
Frustrated, Lucrezzia switches tactic and resorts to a spell that has served her well in the past.
Once again it does so and though the first creature resists, the second cannot and where once there stood a mighty monstrosity, there now slithers a disgusting slug.

Corum Mac Roth |

The spider tears into him, blood flies and Corum is held fast in it's vice-like grip. The assault would have felled many men but he is not many men. He is one, warrior born, he lives for the fight and welcomes the pain. It girls his rage to greater heights and he hacks at the beast with his sword. One handed, his cuts are clumsy but no less effective.

I can only cast feather fall once unfortunately. When I cast it on Greyston I could have affected more people but I think it only works if you are actually falling.
I don’t think I can cast it on people and then when they fall it activates, at least I read the spell that way

Corrleon Daxio |

Rolling slightly to lessen his impact, Corrleon shakes his head as his rises to his feet, though the sticky strands of the ursikka's saliva still cling to him, hampering his movement. Wresting his bow free from the tarry spittle, he grunts away the dizziness from the fall and steadies his aim.
He slows his breathing, sights down the shaft of his nocked arrow, and lets it fly for the ursikka that brought him to the ground.

hp38/192. Nice!
Corum shouts in frustration as he is grappled by the tentacles. He ignores the pain and stands. His muscles bulge and wine as stretch as he attempts to pull himself free of the tentacles with brute force. Blood pools at his feet as he does so, running freely from the terrible wounds he bears.

Elleross Oronar |

sorry been a bit busy lately and haven’t posted ! J can I take my previous round actions? No matter if I can’t
Elleross watches in horror as the creature flings Corum away like a rag doll and from the dragonkins back he can see exactly where Corum is headed and as the warrior crashes into his spell he can see the black tentacles instantlyblash around him.
Drawing in his mind he focuses and severs the connection to the spell, ending it instantly.
As the tentacles dissipate into wisps of smoke Corum is released.

"Thank you Lucrezzia, I appreciate it immensely." He smiles, then turns his attention to the wolf creature. "We saved it, maybe we should see if it has any information for us?"
He waves to it then, shouting out in common and draconic. "We wish to talk! We saw you and wanted to help."

Corrleon Daxio |

Corrleon casts a glance back over his shoulder at Greyston's call, then turns back to the adlet, hoping she's not preparing to bolt. He entreats again in Triaxian, then switches to draconic if she still seems to not understand, "Indeed, it is as the furless-one suggests, we only wished to offer our aid. Tell me, are you injured at all? Ursikkas are cunning predators, I know."

GM-JZ |

The wolf-like creature wanders forward. She is wearing a mixture of leathers and furs and numerous little bones hang like charms from her belt and wrists.
She is slightly open-mouthed as she approaches and, appearing to either ignore or not hear Corrleon, she staggers up to Greyston, her spear hanging limply at her side.
Suddenly, she pokes a clawed finger into his face - not painfully or with the intention to draw blood - but because she seems utterly astonished.
....where is your fur....?

Corum Mac Roth |

what language are you speaking?

GM-JZ |

She and Corrleon are speaking Triaxian, the native tongue of this planet.
Suddenly the wolf-girl's face splits into a huge grin and she arches her back to howl long and loud into the sky.
She plants her spear in the ground and does a strange dance around it, falling to her knees in the snow and raising both arms to the bruised sky.
Praise, praise! she howls. They have come! I was right and they have come at last!
Not sure how you want to deal with these language barriers, whether it is easier to assume Corrleon or one of the dragonkin translate so you can engage in conversation as a group

Corrleon Daxio |

Corrleon will translate
The triaxian frowns slightly as the adlet begins cavorting around her spear. Looking up at the others, he hesitantly observes, "It seems you travelers are in some way expected." Crossing his arms, he watches the odd reaction and serves as intermediary as the need arises.

GM-JZ |

If Corrleon is going to translate, I won't put this in spoilers
<Baknarla> she points a claw at her chest <knew you would come. Said you would come. Told all the shaman you would come!>
She begins walking a circle, arms animated as she talks excitedly.
<'The stars have spoken, I said'. The 'destined ones will come' I said. But they would not listen. Cast Baknarla out. Called Baknarla a fool and a dreamer and that our people would never run in our lands again.>
<But here you are!>
She begins dancing around her spear again.

Elleross Oronar |

Elleross approaches the strange wolf-girl and wonders what the prophecy is she speaks of
we are strangers here from a land far away, please tell us of this prophecy he says eager to hear it
speaking in triaxian, I have learned the language now thanks to the headband upgrade

GM-JZ |

<My people, the adlets, have inhabited the frozen wastes near the Vahara Glacier since before the waters froze.> she says. <But Yrax the dragon warlord has oppressed us these long years, chased us out of our ancestral home and killed many of my people.>
<But you are the destined ones! The ones the stars spoke of who would come from afar to defeat Yrax, and restore our lands to us!>
<You must do this, and Baknarla can help you, she can!> she adds excitedly

Corum Mac Roth |

Corum smiles broadly and laughs out loud. He doesn't understand a word she says but he likes this wolf girl. "Sounds like a plan to me!"
