Corum Mac Roth
Corum shouts at Grey. "Don't just stand there. Bomb the b@&£#%d!"
Lucrezzia Luzatto
"May be a chance to see if this giant is a fool, or if he'd be willin' a' talk about with us." Lucrezzia turns her voice to the giant in the pit, "What say you? Clearly you be beaten, do you want to die in this place, too?"
Sapphire
I have nothing I can really throw at him, aside from harsh words...
she steps slightly back but keeps her blade raised so she can engage the giant the moment it gets out of the pit.
Held action: Full attack once it comes in range.
Del Drinnar
Del calls out, chidingly in giant, "Yeah, so I lied about the goats. No hard feelings though, right?" He casually pulls a flask from one of his inner coat pockets and tosses it in a lazy arc down into the magical pit. He then winks at Sapphire, "Good lady, sometimes biting words are the most fun things to throw! Come up with something and I'll be happy to translate for you." He smiles broadly and dips into a theatrical bow just as the sound of breaking glass and sizzling flesh rises up out of the hole.

The giant manages to clamber part way up the shaft. If it shows any sign of surrender following Lucrezzia's words, it doesn't say so.

But Lucrezzia's curse stops it makin much progress at all.
The giant climbs up about 5 feet. I figure it is 10 feet tall so has another 15ft to climb

Del Drinnar
Del lets another flask tumble slowly end over end before dropping into the pit and onto the frost giant. He calls out again in giant, "Is Vesvelod really worth all this, my tall friend? I feel like you've backed the wrong horse in this particular race. He's got you in a dead-end job with no chance for career development. Have you considered a different direction for your life? Maybe a growth industry like mining or adventuring?"

the pit lasts 10 rounds, I can't end this spell effect unfortunately
the pit won't last long, less than a minute. Unfortunately I cannot make this spell end any sooner he says as he waits for the giant to re appear.
Corum Mac Roth
Corum moves to the edge of the pit and throws the spear at the giant. It flies true and buries itself deep in the giant's chest.

Elleross, I have been neglecting my magical studies somewhat, so as much as it irks me to turn my mind to study, in situation such as this it makes me realise I need to broaden my knowledge.
she offers the wizard an awkward smile
In other words it wouldn't go down badly if you nagged me a little and let me borrow your spellbook if that's ok?..

Round 4 - Heroes
Corum reflex: 1d20 + 6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 3 + 2 = 21 Fail
Corum hurls his spear from the edge of the pit but in his haste to finish the giant he loses his footing and topples into the pit after it!
Fall damage: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3) = 12
Corum, the rule for this is listed in the spell here:
In addition, the edges of the pit are sloped, and any creature ending its turn on a square adjacent to the pit must make a Reflex saving throw with a +2 bonus to avoid falling into it.
Lucrezzia Luzatto
"Somebody hol' me hand so I don't join the dumb bastard in his hole." Lucrezzia takes the proffered hand and leans to where she can see the giant. She chants an unintelligible phrase and points at the giant.
DC20 Fort (still Misfortuned) or become a harmless Sargavan garter snake... if that fails, also needs a DC20 Will save of become one in mind, too. :)
GM-JZ
Fort: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 Success
Fort reroll: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18 Fail
The giant scowls up at Lucrezzia but once her hex is complete the giant transforms before your very eyes. It's form melts away and is replaced with that of a tiny, but prettily coloured snake.
Basically....
Combat Over
Lucrezzia Luzatto
I am still making a snake of the beast. (He still owes a Will Save to see if he is a snake, or a trans-snake (Giant trapped in a Snake's body)). I would rather cast this one spell than waste all of my spells keeping up with the amount of healing fighting the giant would require. Also, the dumb bastard was aimed at the giant since he was the only one in the hole. Though Corum otherwise qualifies ;) {j/k}
Elleross Oronar
turning him into a lizard is pretty cool :)
Elleross watches as the pit slowly ends, the giant he expects to see though Is nowhere to be seen, instead he spies a small brightly coloured snake wrapped around the shaft of Corums blood stained spear.
very impressive lucrezzia , you have certainly ended that threat he says as he moves further into the room.
corum, you should heal while you can before we press on, if there are more Giants we need you to be at your strongest.
Del Drinnar
Del shoulders Ruby as the group stands before the enormous barred doors that lead to the Eon Pit proper. "Well, that was fun! What's next?" He waves a finger at Corum's midsection and grimaces, "Uh, Corum, I wasn't ever much of a student of internal anatomy, but I think that pinkish bit is supposed to be on your insides, not your outsides."
Corum Mac Roth
Corum watches Lucrezzia turn the giant into a snake and turns to look at her with a stunned look on his face. "What?...Now that is the kind of magic I like, as long as it's not pointed at me! Thank you." He thanks her as she heals some of his awful wounds.
Corum grimaces in pain and laughs at Del'a joke "Think you're right Del. Anyone got any potions?"
He retrieves his spear and leans on it and breathes deeply to try to control the pain.

All good GM, it's only mirror image and blur that are affected, everything else sort of tapers out. Just say how many minutes there have been between end of last fight and beginning of next and I'll remove the appropriate amount of rounds from the totals :)
Sapphire glances between Lucrezzia and the snake
Well I'll be... that was some fine magicking there Lucrezzia...
She shakes her head in wonder and moves over next to Corum.
Ready when you are big fella, presuming you're done stuffing bits of yourself back inside the gaping holes in your chest...
Lucrezzia Luzatto
"I have a trick or two ta use. Here, let's give this a try." She casts a spell that settles onto Corum, "It's ta keep evil magics off of you. [b]"You would na' want a jungle witch to turn you into a snake, would you?" Lucrezzia pulls out a new wand and boops Corum on the shoulder before he can say no. Within seconds he is close to twelve feet tall and even more imposing than ever before. "Now you can well an' true call him 'big fella'. An' would our flying swordmaiden like a dose of this magic, too?"
As Corum prepares to breach the doors, Lucrezzia puts her hand on Elleross' back and says, "An' maybe you can walk amongst the stars?" She casts Fly on the old wizard.
Protection from Evil for 9 minutes and Enlarge Person for 1 minute on Corum. If she wants it, EP on Sapphire, too.
Corum, EP should push your STR to 26 while raging, but due to the Size Penalty to hit, you will net no accuracy bonus :/ However, your damage should go through the roof: if you use the spear, it's base damage become 2d6 and your bardiche becomes 2d8. (Sapphire, your Longsword becomes 2d6.) Also, Corum your STR mod will become +8, so nets you +12 when using a 2-hander, jumping to +22 when PA with a +1 weapon. Maybe most importantly, you will gain Reach and may not take near as many AoO as you close to melee! :)
+20/+12; 2d6+24+2d6 when using your spear *against a Giant!*
+18/+10; 2d6+22 against a non-giant
+18/+10; 2d8+22 with your Bardiche (with a 15' reach)
The ProVE and EP will net +0 to AC, and +1 to Saves (you already have a cloak...)

He turns them and pushes against the barred door.

As the others tend to corums wounds Elleross turns his thoughts inwards and begins to utilise his magic to boost his constitution.
He knows he will need every advantage against the ravages of time in the pit.
The spell is complex and lengthy in its casting but as he unleashes it he feels a surge of energy as the spell boosts his vitality.

He feels stronger and more alive than he has done in years and he marvels at the spells effects.
seeing lucrezzia work her magic on corum he smiles
now the Giants will not feel so superior, you are a fearsome sight corum. moments later lucrezzia gifts him with the ability to fly and as he rises off the floor he grins, the constant ache from his damaged knee fading almost instantly .

Corum presses his new-found bulk against the doors and with a mighty shove he smashes them open.
This vast natural cavern is drowned in darkness. To the southeast, a ring of towering black basalt menhirs surround a great gaping pit torn into the cavern floor. Spiraling runes etched in white chalk cover the faces of the standing stones, which are painted with fresh blood.
The bodies of two frost giants lie on the floor outside the ring. A border of countless skulls, both human and animal, surrounds the pit. A break in the border forms an entrance leading to the edge of the pit. There, a flight of stone steps carved into the perimeter descends into the abyss. The air above the pit seems to waver and ripple as if from heat, though there is no discernible change in temperature.
Slowly circling the perimeter of the stone ring trots a fierce-looking centaur carrying a great warhammer, his hirsute body drenched head to hoof in blood.

The Queen of Witches has sent assassins against me? So be it. But my patron Kostchtchie will rise again, and this time destroy the whore for now and all times.
Born a mortal man of Ulfen stock before being cursed, Kostchtchie is now the demonic patron of giants and biting cold.
Following the collapse of the empire of Old Iobaria, a barbarian warlord named Kostchtchie claimed Iobaria's wild northeastern territory, the Dvezda Marches, as his personal kingdom. To consolidate his power, he sought out the Queen ofWitches, Baba Yaga, and demanded she give him the secret ofimmortality or face the full might of his barbarian horde.
Baba Yaga granted Kostchtchie his wish, but only after stealing a part of his soul and transforming him into a twisted giant. In shame, Kostchtchie fled, and with Baba Yaga's counsel and aid, a coalition of Kostchtchie's rivals fell upon the warlord's armies, driving them from the region and forcing the scattered remains
deep into the Ice Steppes of the frozen north.
But Kostchtchie himselfhad not been defeated. He fled to the Abyss, where his immortality allowed him to gain power and eventually supplant the demon lord Sithhud, becoming a powerful demon lord in his own right. Over the centuries, Kostchtchie slowly built up his power and his followers, as he became more and more obsessed with
reclaiming the stolen portion of his soul and gaining revenge against Baba Yaga.

Blade bursting with fire and lightning again, Sapphire wastes no time, simply pointing her sword at the centaur and uttering a word that echoes throughout the room.
