Nope. Must be "Good" aligned weapon or Holy.

The weapon also becomes good-aligned, which means it can bypass the DR of certain creatures.

This, in fact, was the reason I went for the oil of bless weapon: I figured that if Thrax summoned devils rather than beasts, I would need that DR bypass.

@Beppo: I did roll 28 for the Knowledge (Planes) on the creatures but the results were simply - DR 5/good; Immune fire, poison; These servants of Hades are known to bring pestilence and disease wherever they ride. - Tessai conveyed the information to Beppo anyway.

Regarding Bless Weapon: Yes, I was under the impression that it would become good-aligned also...

Tessai winces everytime Beppo takes a hit - It should have been me in there...

Shaking the nerve wracking thought away, she continues her support to Beppo, with a touch of irony - "Come on man!! Stop toying with them!! We'll have plenty of time to have fun once we win Thraxs' money! Who knows, we may even have some spare minutes to provide him the spanking he deserves!"

Beppo, strike just below the third thoracic vertebrae! There's a nerve cluster there that will render it almost completely paralyzed! No, that's the fourth thoracic vertebrae, that's where it's hide is thickest, you'd need a lance to get through that!

Lol I suck at boosts so I'm RP'ing bad advice

Guys, Beppo is a massive show off. Someone get the crowd going, that would help him no end.

Secret Messages:
You can use Bluff to pass hidden messages to another character without others understanding your true meaning. The DC of this check is 15 for simple messages and 20 for complex messages. If you are successful, the target automatically understands you, assuming you are speaking in a language that it understands. If your check fails by 5 or more, you deliver the wrong message. Other creatures that hear the message can decipher the message by succeeding at an opposed Sense Motive check against your Bluff result.

"Those bastards are up to something" - Tessai comments ostensively pointing at Thrax and the man next to him.

Turning her attention to Beppo, she cheers him on with a slight provocation and a wink - "I would probably be dancing around those, but you are not doing bad at all for an old man! Of course my blessing helps - it helps getting those creaky joints moving and staying alive!"

Then leaning closer to make sure no one listens, the tiefling adds - "We'll just throw a little added surprise to the next round shall we?"

Ok, so meta talk now: I can land 3 remaining level 1 spells and 3 level 2 spells. Now... I'm gonna start Beppo off with Resistance, then I believe we will need to renew that Divine Favor, and for the last round before the combat starts, since prot from evil and shield of Faith are still up, I've got two options I am toying around with - you decide Beppo:

Option 1: Invisibility, nuff said;
Option 2: True Strike - Don't know how much push you can put behind one attack (this one used to be sweet back in the day when power attack allowed to decide how much of your BAB you would take to add damage :D), but this one can hurt. And note that "you are not affected by the miss chance that applies to attackers trying to strike a concealed target.", so if at any point that comes up, do come back to the cage for one of those.

For now, which do you think can be better? Or we can keep the last buff conditional depending on what is summoned, if it sees invisible, if it has concealment, etc. Like Kyle suggested?

This is good stuff. Anyone got a water bottle they can squirt at me? Cut me, Mick. Cut me.

The fighter nods at the words of encouragement, then grins at Tessai's comments and at Brandon's call to the crowd.

Meta talk: Resistance good, Divine Favor yes please.

LOVE the idea of giving him a wrinkle. I would agree with keeping it conditional, though -- tailoring our actions to whatever Thrax comes up with next has worked pretty well IMHO.

If he conjures up something really nasty-looking, I think invisibility would be a SWEET surprise to spring on him.

As for True Strike, if I am large size and use PA, a longsword attack does 2d6+13. Of course, if I had a chance to drop those weapons and draw the zweihander, we're talking 3d6+15. I could see that really helping if I get to a place where other buffs are running out and I have to put the bad guy DOWN posthaste.

Potions:I will probably want to drink another enlarge person (have 2 left) before the next round starts, and it would be good to have the bless weapon oil ready in case Thrax's next doodle looks evil.

3rd Combat

The crowd reacts favorably to Brandon's boast. But, as soon as they calm down, Thrax makes a speech of his own.

Thrax cracks his knuckles. Jest all you want. But, in the end, to the victor goes the spoils. And to the loser...well, let's just say I wouldn't want to lose to my little pet here.

This spell seems to take longer to cast, but when he's done, you see a gargantuan creater unlike any you've ever seen. Best described as dragon without wings, the huge monster towers all enough to look directly at people in the upper rows. Instead of scales, his skin is more like a lizard, but thicker and with some coat of slime. It has a strong lower jaw with a number of sharp teeth sticking out. It's head stuck on top of a rather long, snake like neck. It lets out a roar, and people begin to panic. Thrax's voice calls out, People! People of Westcrown, worry not. This creature is entirely under my control. There's only ONE among you who needs fear him. My opponent!

It takes a step forward, and leaves a huge print where its feet once where that looks like could swallow Beppo.

You're looking a bit under the weather, Beppo. Is that fear, I wonder? You can always capitulate, my good actor. You are best suited for a stage than an arena, no?

Combat Actions! The beast is currently near Thrax's cage.

"What is that thing? If you can slice off a piece and throw it to me, I might be able to learn more about it. I recommend using the invisibility potion so you can get close to it."

He yells at Thrax. "Does your pet do any tricks! I'm sure Beppo can teach him one trick for you. That is roll over and play dead."

Janiven Key, Human, Ranger, Second-In-Command of Shades of Grey

As the beast moves towards Beppo, Yako comes up and gets Janiven's attention.

Hey, Yako says that she has some scrolls that she ... um...borrowed from Arael's room. Kyle, do you want to look at them?

Kyle takes the scrolls and looks at them.

"You did good out the Beppo need to keep it up!" Aemon then grabs a cup of water and pours it in Beppos mouth. "I've got nothing else for you but i'm going to try and keep these people on your side."

Then seeing what was summoned Aemon steps back eyes wide... That's not good. Aemon then snaps out of it and starts to clap and chant again. "Beppo! Beppo!"

As Thrax begins summoning, Beppo downs another enlarge person potion.

Upon seeing the great beast, he yells at Thrax, A huge serpent? You really ARE compensating for something!

He then looks back at Tessai. Make me invisible. This might be challenging.

Round 1

Know Check:
You haven't seen or studied a beast quite like this. It must be unique. Its teeth indicate its carnivorous and the discoloration around the mouth indicate that it breathes fire.

The beast moves to the middle of the arena in a single move action.

As Beppo disappears, Thrax yells, Now who is hiding? It will not save you.

The beast breathes a cone of fire that goes right up to the cage with the others. You can feel the heat of the flames.

Beppo! Relfex save!!

You hear Thrax laughing. Getting a little HOT for you, actor?? How about you in the cage there? I hope 'Tiny' doesn't accidentally burn you! HAHAHAHhahahah!!

Kyle spends the round reading the scrolls. You find a restoration, with reach, as well as a Cure Critical wounds, again with reach.

Crowd They cheer with several of you, but gasp as the flames fill the arena!
