Beppo is unsure if the creature sees, hears, or smells him, but the creatures actions do seem delayed Beppo almost expected an attack from the creature along the way, but none ever came...however, as Beppo stops and turns around....

Just finding out that restoration takes 3 rounds. Kyle would have started reading it as soon as possible knowing that Beppo would be visible by that time.

Beppo cuts the beast deeply in the face, hoping that it will let go. As he becomes visable, the crowd gasps and a big smile comes across the nobelman's face.

Is it just me or the action is rushing a tad? Did not even have a chance to post inbetween rounds..?

It's just you. LOL, j/k. I'm trying to rush it because I realize that some of you are kinda bored and unhappy spending over a week of real time stuck in a cage...as evident by a number of regular posting periods being skipped by players. At the table, this would have been done in under 40 minutes or so. As always, if you were skipped/missed a turn, you can do two actions on the next round, the way Kyle got a jump start on his 3 round cast.

The crowd and Shades of Grey stare, holding their breath for what happens next. The devilish creature roars at the people in response. They gasp. It starts to take a couple of steps towards the other side of the arena, when it stops, suddenly. It looks down to see a sword sticking out of the middle of its neck. With a mighty swing that decapitates the beast, Beppo appears, and falls to the ground, covered in disgusting ooze, his armor half falling off.

The crowd roars and starts chanting, Beppo! Beppo!! Beppo!!!

You don't seem to need to listen closely to hear the nobelman, Thrax, you fool! Your monster swallowed him, so he cut off his neck from the inside! That was your last summon! We've lost!!!

And yet, Thrax's grin that appeared when the monster swallowed Beppo remains undaunted.

As Beppo staggers over to his side of the arena, the announcer comes yells, using a spell to bolster his voice, Ladies and Gentlmen! It would appear that current champ has been upset! We have a new... uh...

At that moment, you hear a woman scream. Then more yelling. You scan the crowds and see them pointing to the body of the monster.

You look that way, and you see that it isn't as dead as you had hoped. Suddenly, where one head was cut off, two more quickly grow, taking its place!

His wicked grin now goes from ear to ear. You hear Thrax say, This is my favorite part of the game.... Sudden Death!

The above action took two rounds, with the first round being spent (by Beppo) to move to his 'corner' so to speak.

As Beppo starts to make his way over, Kyle takes the opportunity to heal him.

Know Check (DC now lower since you've seen creature in action}:
The respawing of the head reminds of you a hydra, though this creature didn't look like a typical hydra to you. You believe it immune to fire, unlike a typical hydra. The necks are clearly the weakest part of the creature, yet they reproduce quickly if sliced off. You believe Beppo either has to aim at the more heavily armed body (called shot, -4) or use a blunt weapon to crush the heads (also a called shot).

I suspect these cages are strong so can I get a GM hero point roll with my crowbar for an overall +16 please?

Kyle sees Beppo ready to charge and prepares to tap him with a bit of luck before he does so. "Let me know when you're ready to go."

Then seeing Edmond out and going for the cage Aemon moves over to him."Edmond i'm not sure what you have planned but i've got your back." He then loosens his bow and readies his blunt arrows.

You amaze me" - the smile then vanishing from her face, she adds - "If NEEDED, I take care of the creature, and you disembowel Thrax, how's that?"

Beppo drops his sword against the cage. He holds out his hand, demanding Morningstar - or mace. He grabs Tessai's light mace, asks Kyle to Make it a Weapon of Awe, and looks for More enlarge person, though this shouldn't take long.

Beppo will drink the potion if someone pours it for him. In any case, he will hold a defensive position this round. Total Defense.

I thought I'd posted that I was giving up my morningstar but upon review I didn't. Perhaps it didn't take but it's Beppo's if he wants it.

My lady, clad in iron bars all I grow is bored. But Beppo is far too an interesting companion to be thrown to the wolves. As are you. So I say your deal is entirely agreeable.

I did not take the sickened condition into account. Still sickened after 9/10 rounds?

Yeah... still sickened. 10 minute deal. Oh....here's something that's funny. When you're grappled, you cannot move. I guess you can only beat on the head that's got you held, or attempt to escape.

Grappled:
A grappled creature is restrained by a creature, trap, or effect. Grappled creatures cannot move and take a –4 penalty to Dexterity. A grappled creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks, except those made to grapple or escape a grapple. In addition, grappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform. A grappled character who attempts to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability must make a concentration check (DC 10 + grappler's CMB + spell level), or lose the spell. Grappled creatures cannot make attacks of opportunity.

I had trouble getting on yesterday as the board were randomly not responding for me sorry!

Beppo flinches, ducking and yelling, as the heads nip him time and again. As they begin to pull back, oozing their bloody prizes, Beppo gathers all his strength and screams HAAAAAAAAUUGGGAAAAHHHHH!! in the faces of the beast as he swings again:

I'll use a hero point to add 4 here, so that both strikes hit. Might have 1 left after this, or I might have zero after this. Will have to check.

Beppo attacks both heads. It's quite a sight, really. The necks on these things are so long that they are effectively able to attack Beppo from both sides, even as he attacks them both.

Thrax moves to the front of his cage. This is absolutely ridiculous. His friends keep healing him! This will end...NOW!

Thrax disappears, and reappears, floating over the monster's heads. He points at Beppo.

3d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) + 3 = 11

Golden orbs quickly spring out of his hand, knocking the fighter out. The crowd boos at the clear infraction of the rules. He laughs loudly. No one...NO ONE beats ME!!!

You see the nobleman look in horror at Thrax's actions...he turns to quickly leave.

The announcer exclaims, Everyone, remain calm! Thrax, return to your cage, you cannot...!

Oh, the heads themselves look pretty beat up...but overall, the creature still looks pretty healthy.
