Posting this here for posterity's sake:

I'm of two minds with giving Zadok an accent. On the one hand accents can be a pain. They're slower to read and if they're thick they grow tiresome very quickly. On the other hand, Strange Aeons was written to give a stage to the off-putting, uncanny, and weird.

I'm also a D&D setting junkie. I used to resist it, but the truth is, I love them. Core characters all fit in Greyhawk for me, my psychic and Aetherkineticist all fit Dark Sun, etc. Zadok is totally Ravenloft in my mind's eye. It'd be a shame not to play up the Ustalavan nature and .

For my core rogue, I try to have him speak in Thieves' Cant whenever possible, and I make it an in character point for him to calm down and speak normally. Maybe something similar? I don't know. I'm REALLY excited for this....

I've always wanted to master thieves cant. I actually have a book on it, and if Rathen was ever with another rogue I could use it.

You can tell too that I opted for an accent with Vael. Maintaining it is work, and has diminishing returns over time. In my mind though I can justify losing it if I choose... Just by taking a rank in linguistics ;)

Just a heads up, I'll be AFK from 1500 EST today until about 2000 EST Monday. I'll be able to sneak in a post a day, but that's likely it.

Hey guys, starting from about 2100 EST tonight until Saturday noon, I'm in 1 post per day territory. I'll try to make that post in the afternoon so others have enough time. By Saturday night I'll be back to normal.

My schedule through next week is iffy at best.

I'll be offline from this afternoon until Monday morning, likely not checking games.

I'll be hear at full strength Monday until Tuesday afternoon.

I'll be pretty much completely offline from Tuesday 21 November until Monday 27 November.

Then I return to normal until winter break.

Posting my holiday schedule:

I'll be posting at full speed from today until Friday afternoon. After that I'll be completely MIA from December 22-26.

I'll return on the 27th, albeit with a slightly slower pace, likely only once or twice each day until January 2nd, at which point I'll be back full speed for the foreseeable future.

Holidays are here, and I'm going to be spotty. Will check in now and then, but for all intents and purposes assume we're paused until after New Years.

Just a quick heads up. I'll be on business travel from April 19 - May 2. I expect to be able to post from my phone, but will not have access to a full computer (or if I'm the DM, the adventure.)

Heads up everyone. I'll be AFK from Friday 1300ish until Tuesday 0700. I will do my best to check in once per day, but I'm expecting it to be a bit difficult (I'll be in Washington DC as pit crew for my fiancee as she runs a marathon.)

Just a reminder that Zadok, Dr. Quant, Johari and the GM will be at The Gathering II from this afternoon until after Game of Thrones on Sunday. I'm bringing my laptop, so I might be able to post.
