I hope everybody had a great holiday!

Sister Ismene |

I hope everyone's still having a great holiday :D

Sister Ismene |

I'm looking at the list of buildings in Longacre, trying to figure out what there is to do. It might be worthwhile to visit the notary to check who's got their paperwork, and it could be cool to actually get the Last Stand up and running again. We could call it Cagan's Last Stand, in dishonor of the deceased. Maybe we could attract whatever seedy folk might be around town, turn it into a combination Bad Guy Bar and city hall.
Aside from that, I've got no idea. Maybe try to be cultured for a day and visit the museum?
Btw, GM, I'd like to thank you for allowing me to miss the previous combat. I think I need to try harder at being part of the group instead of going off and doing my own thing every other scene, but I really do appreciate that Ismene wasn't railroaded into staying at the jail, even if it means I missed the battle.

Muziel Moreau |

I feel bad that Ismene has been left out once again! Maybe this chaos is what happens when we leave our most sensible team member behind.

Sister Ismene |

Don't feel bad! Ismene is having a great time finding her villainous side. Besides, you guys totally got this.
Fun tip: missed attacks can be fluffed as intentional. Take maniacal glee in causing terror, regardless of whether or not you actually hit anybody!

Penelope Dorn |

We have apparently found what Penelope is really good at killing... defenseless villagers. Leeds are there many more of them in this adventure path?

Muziel Moreau |

By the way, if my suggestion to raid the armory is too random, you can ignore it. I'm actually not sure what to do next (except talk to Razelago).

Sister Ismene |

I like the suggestion! I was looking at the list of buildings in town and I'm like 'what are we supposed to do with all this?' so this is a good thing.
Work switched me to an overnight schedule temporarily and it's playing havoc with my posting schedule. This week should be better as I adjust, but I figured I should give a heads-up (because I'm terrible about that).

Sister Ismene |

This plan is almost certainly doomed to fail. I love it! Anybody else think we're bound to bite off more than we can chew?

Muziel Moreau |

That was a real surprise!

Sister Ismene |

I'm glad you liked that, GM!
I'm back from vacation in California! Ye gods, am I back. Everything went fine until the return trip. We wrecked twice in Colorado due to a run of bad luck and worse weather. Everybody's fine, and there was only minor damage to non-essential systems. I have nothing but bad to say about Colorado's weather, but nothing but good to say about Colorado's people.
EDIT: Assuming this is all in the AP as written, HV is friggin' awesome! I know it takes some flack for the way it starts, but what's not to love about this? I'm enjoying all the NPCs; the necromancer and his pet hobgoblin, Madame Cembers and her weird obsession with Fex, Lucky Marcus. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that Ingoe guy, too. In my head, he's this guy.

Leedwashere |

Yikes! Sorry to hear about the car trouble, but glad it turned out okay. My brother went to law school in Denver and loved every minute he spent in Colorado, though I've only ever driven through it myself. What part(s) of California were you visiting?
I'm glad you're enjoying the campaign so far, too! I'm running it pretty close to straight, though I've made some alterations to help it run a bit more smoothly in a PbP format. I've been really liking this group of PCs and have been having a lot of fun getting deeper into NPC personalities than I usually get to in my home games. It's really nice to hear that it's going over well :D
I don't think I'm going to be able to get a proper update in tonight, been running around doing errands all day, but I'll try to get one up tomorrow morning.

Muziel Moreau |

Hope you had a good time in my home state of California despite all the trouble! It's been a little wet here, unfortunately, and that obviously carries on into Colorado in a bad way. :(
I am surprised and impressed that this is mostly by the book! The plot has woven together pretty well, once you skip that pointless robbery of Louslik.
Also, I had no idea unchained monk's flurry of blows straight up gives an extra attack - that's pretty sweet, and so much easier to calculate than base monk.

Muziel Moreau |

We're storming the church of Iomedae! It should be a challenge. At least the ghast didn't manage to complete his chomping of Penelope.
The funny thing is if we killed both brothers, there might have been two ghasts, which would've even been scarier!

Sister Ismene |

Life goes on. To be fair, it's a bit much to expect to actually capture Tileavea Allomar at this point. We've done pretty well up to this point, all things considered.

Sister Ismene |

I guess I have to eat my own words, don't I? Based on that CMW, Tileavea is a level 4 cleric. Her son has to be at least level 2, plus the ghast and the wolf, and the congregants. We've got to be close to level 3 after that. Maybe after the execution?
Speaking of, who thinks we'll actually be able to make good on this execution?

Penelope Dorn |

Excellent work all of you. Penelope had a bad battle but the rest of you pulled it off, flanking, touch attacks, and good ole bashing and slashing.
We'll do our best Ismene , cause we are not letting this family go, they are too much pains in our arses. Well unless our demon masters tell us to that is.

hit points dice: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Rolling hit points to figure out the rest. One more level and she becomes an actual spell caster!!!!
Oh, Penelope is good with the prisoner suggestions. Just keep the important ones.

Muziel Moreau |

Muziel's next level is in Arcanist.
The joys of 18 Con:
HD: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Just realized Muziel doesn't qualify for Craft Wondrous Item if he takes a level in Arcanist, which is a big part of the plan. So he needs to take another level in Kineticist first.

So, I haven't seen the movie, but now that the Sinister Seven has only five members, would it be appropriate to re-name our group the Inglorious Bastards?

Kolaiah |

My big changes are:
I'm immune to disease, although I can still carry it! yes!
I know emit an Aura of Cowardice. Even Paladins can now be afraid near me, and they take a -4 penalty to fear saves. Which just cancels a Paladin's bonus if one is around, but otherwise I'm like a dragon on 2 legs, hahaha.

Penelope Dorn |

Sinister Seven, yeah I guess it makes us look like we can't count. Fine with the name change, though I didn't really like the movie. I was expecting something different I think.

Penelope Dorn |

That aura is really neat. Penelope can pick up cause fear as a spell (next level) and we can tag team spread terror. I really like our odd group consistency. No straight forward mages or clerics, but we're getting by.

Leedwashere |

So it looks like there's 2 votes for keeping the extra prisoners, 1 vote for quietly killing them, 1 vote for letting them go, and 1 vote for 'whatever.' I'm going to proceed to the next morning with the assumption that you've kept them, with one Allomar and one non-Allomar in each cell. I'll leave a grace period in which we can retroactively change that in case people feel strongly and want to discuss it more.

Leedwashere |

Hey guys, today it's been exactly a full calendar year since we started this game! I want to thank you all for sticking with it and making it awesome. I've been a part of several games on these forums, almost none of which have made it this far, so I very much appreciate what we've got going on here. Here's to a great group! ::raises digital glass::
Happy (game) anniversary! :D

Sister Ismene |

Happy birthday to us! And a hearty congratulations to our GM!
I hadn't ever played much with the monk class, but after this, I can safely say that I don't much care what the theorycrafters have to say; I'm having a great time!
A year ago I hadn't even considered applying for the Peace Corps; now I'm leaving for Africa in 3 weeks! Whatever happens after, I'm glad to have been here. It's been a blast!

Penelope Dorn |

Penelope does a happy dance. We're all ONE year old!
That's great! Both the happiness of being around a year AND Isemene's upcoming trip. I hope we still hear from you, either way though GOOD LUCK!!!

Muziel Moreau |

Woohoo! Happy anniversary! Glad we've been able to stick it out!
Congratulations on the peace corps! Africa is a big place so no telling how your Internet connection will be, but we'd love to at least hear how you're doing.
