Gathering your wits, you run off in the direction of the front of the temple, but not before Aemon slaps Amber to keep her motivated. Almost immediately, Jazz climbs over the temple wall instead of running along side it, I'll try the back door!

Off to a great start :)
The leader draws a scimitar and holds it at a downward angle above his head, in a classic fencing pose. He moves between the other cultists forming a three man wall blocking the doors to the temple.
How many can you save, I wonder? They're just kobolds, but against scared families waiting to be saved you don't need much more than a rusty dagger!

Good point, I didn't give you enough information.
There is 20ft from the front of the temple (where the door is) to the front gate (where Conner and Larissa are). The cultists are at the door, 20ft from Larissa and Conner. Amber is in the middle 10ft from both groups. Aemon still has 30ft of wall until he's between the gates.
The two kobolds are not with the cultists, they are 5ft forward and very wide such that they are 15ft from Amber and 20ft from the front gate.

Amber charges forward towards the cultists as Amber takes out one of the kobolds and is met by the leader's blade. Readied attack.

The deft swordsmanship throws Amber off as she tries to land a blow with her greataxe.
The remaining kobold picks up a stone and leaps into the air, leathery wings unfolding and flapping wildly to keep it aloft. Fluttering over Larissa it cries, For Mother! and drops the weight.

The kobold's weak arms buckle a bit as it tries to toss the stone, and the rock lands 8 feet from Larissa in such a sloppy arc that she didn't even attempt to move out of the way.
From inside the temple you hear the sound of screams and the yipping of kobolds.

I have audited my notes and removed Jazz, let me know if you see any issues. Part of my mistakes was a mix up in counting down or up in my notes. I have since made everything count down (so that 4/4 would be 4 uses remaining.

Remember waaaaay back during the night when we spotted that guy asking if we'd killed the cultists? I was on watch because, as an elf, I had already finished my long rest after only 4 hours. I blew a spell on mage armor right then, but then when nothing came of it and everybody went back to bed to finish their long rests. But I'd already finished my long rest, so for me the second half of the night was basically just a short rest. So arcane recovery got my spell slot back that morning. (And as you know, I have since spent my two spell slots: one on a fresh mage armor at 3pm, and one to roast that rat swarm.)

The screams inside the temple grow louder, there is the sound of a fight echoing out the doors.

Amber cannot quite reach the kobolds, but can use her roll to strike the kobold injured by Larissa's fire bolt.

The kobold spins around when burned only to take a javelin through the heart. It falls to it knees and then its side.
The four remaining kobolds look back at the entrance and see their leader defeated.

The sight spins them into a fury, turning back to the civilians and continuing to cut them down. With the panic trying to exit the rear of the temple, the kobolds can easily use their daggers to kill the townsfolk. Before you can act, the kobolds have killed 3 more villagers: an elderly dwarven man, two crying children, and a young man who already had a wounded arm.

Amber is about 20 feet from the kobolds, and is no longer raging. Conner is 30 feet from the kobolds. Larissa is 20 feet from the kobolds. Aemon is about 45 feet from the kobolds, and is engaged with the last cultist. The flying kobold has escaped.
