Awesome! It makes sense that there would be bathrooms in the Common rooms - otherwise you'd always have students out of bed going to the bathroom.
Course, that also eliminates "I needed to use the bathroom" as an excuse for wandering around after curfew.

Hey, question about being in different Houses. As different Houses have classes at different times, how will we role play through those classes? Would it be better if we're all in the same House? I don't mind choosing one single House or just rolling for it, for the good of the game.
Otherwise we'd have to rp scenes outside of classes...or with certain people left out...and that doesn't seem as favorable, does it?

I get your concern but I think that if we all end up as one House we are going to be missing that sweet sweet inter party drama we would have when 3 or 4 Gryffindor and 3 or 4 Slytherin are amicable, if not downright friendly. And the lessons won't be huge role playing points I imagine. Mayne one or two posts a piece?
Not to mention the Hufflepuff that brings them together! And provides snacks! ^_^
The classes will be broken up but they will be hidden in spoilers or in area dividers. This will allow some to help with other classes or give warnings to other classes is something hard is coming up. I plan to make it not linger on scenes that not everyone is in, but as you have the majority of your classes with one group or the other I think it will be alright. And yes, huge rp points. Huge.

The sorting ceremony is moving a lot faster than I expected. I am pleased!
I am too, but I am noticing a lot of male students as compared to female students.
Also, by my count, we're up to 6 boys in Gryffindor this year - 7 if Aeron is a boy (the spelling could go either way).
Cameron, Colleen, Siobhan, Leslie, Eres, Bryn, Samantha, Jennifer, Ava, and Olivia are all the NPC females while the rest are males. I needed enough males to fill your all's dormrooms are they are 5 to a room. Since both the female characters are in Slytherin I needed less.
Originally I got the last name written down then just rolled a d% to see if it was male or female. I ended up with a higher ratio of boys than girls. Then I applies the dorm room factor and saw that it needed minimal changing so kept it. In total there are 35 students in this first year class. Which is about right given that Harry's class was only 40. So in total with PCs there are 12 female students to the 23 male students. This of course isn't the same for the whole school. Some years have more females than males. The second year list I've started, still doing the d% part on it, has a total of 30 students and I'm about halfway through with a majority of them being female. So far it is a 2-1 ratio there... but as I said I'm not don't and that could change.
Well, this will be interesting come the Yule Ball.
I thought the Yule Ball only happened turned the Tri Wizard Tournament?
Drat. I forgot that they didn't do that. Still I expect that there will be some social function with lots of unattached guys standing around.
We have the '84 Prefects thanks to some video game... :D This is the Court pre-Prefect H.B. met. If we wish to stick to canon.
Can we get a google doc of our classmates and schedules in the game description. That would help a lot when we get going.
