It's slang, but I put a spoiler so you can understand! :D

I thank you for the spoiler. I've roleplayed with a few people who only make one word in ten legible when doing an accent. Spoilers help a lot.

H.B. won't use unintelligible Scots often, I promise! Mainly because I don't know it. (although I could bug a friend about it. :D)

Pureblood, Slytherin Year 1, Male Finesse 1 | Intelligence 2 | Spirit 2 | Power 2 Wand: Laurel (Hexes)(Doesn't Work for Others), Dragon Heartstring (Stunning Spell), 12" Supple Flexibility

Lol, I just feel bad cause my character should know it to too back at yah. I just went with Gaelic cause I least I can google translate that.

This is a simple update to all my games. My laptop is finally starting to die. It no longer can hold a charge and it is so old that it is just better to replace it. But as we're moving out of our appartment this month it might be a bit before I get one. I still plan on using my laptop, unless it totally dies, which at that point I will be using my phone which will make my posts... well lets just say the auto-correct on my phone sucks and isn't worth the space it takes up. I'll still be here! I will totally be reading, just I might be slower.

Pureblood, Slytherin Year 1, Male Finesse 1 | Intelligence 2 | Spirit 2 | Power 2 Wand: Laurel (Hexes)(Doesn't Work for Others), Dragon Heartstring (Stunning Spell), 12" Supple Flexibility

Apologies, I haven't updated yet. There has been a bit of frustrations and anger in the past few days and it makes it hard to think in a childlike state of wonder.

I hope things get better for you. I've been in that kind of state and it sucks.

Okay let me just say I've a new found respect for teachers and scheduling.

I finally sat my happy ass down and did the schedules for each House! Well all save Ravenclaw because I just not done yet.... too many subjects, so many hours to fill... *blinks a few times* soo sorry about that!

But I have made it to where each house at least has two classes together a day. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are obviously all at the same time, as is Flying, and Astronomy classes. Some days you have a double class of something, for example on Tuesdays Slytherins have Potions from 9am to 11 am, then nothing till lunch. Each House has something like this in the schedule. Each Monday you will end up taking one hour of each class then it will change during the week depending upon your House. Don't worry I will post all of the schedules here so that we may talk about them and go yay or nay.

There is also the problem with some teachers. Now many of the positions where filled, but there are a few that don't have any recorded before Harry's time at Hogwarts. So we don't need to worry about right the moment as you can't even take them till you're in your third year. For the others, would you all like to help me make those teachers so we all have an idea on who they are character wise?

Also obviously the DADA teacher will change every year so do be ready for that.

Edit: Also I did go ahead with the 9am to 4 pm class set up.

Pureblood, Slytherin Year 1, Male Finesse 1 | Intelligence 2 | Spirit 2 | Power 2 Wand: Laurel (Hexes)(Doesn't Work for Others), Dragon Heartstring (Stunning Spell), 12" Supple Flexibility

I'm gonna get some sun and go to a farmers market. I'm hoping by the time I get back from it and shopping some that I"ll be good.

Take your time man! We'll still be here! ^_^

Little pretty thing people might like.

That sounds like a perfect day, wandering around a farmers market in the sun. I'm jealous and I hope it helped you feel better.

Pureblood, Slytherin Year 1, Male Finesse 1 | Intelligence 2 | Spirit 2 | Power 2 Wand: Laurel (Hexes)(Doesn't Work for Others), Dragon Heartstring (Stunning Spell), 12" Supple Flexibility

Sorry I was out the loop so long, today was...absolutely horrid for what I wanted out of it.

I actually ended up with a Panic attack after an altercation at the Farmer's market. Without going into too many details, someone couldn't take being told no about petting my service dog in public and ambushed us a few times while we were there.

I don't like my anger, I hate it but it's the first time I've literally cussed out someone in public since i was like 16.

But unfortunately the incident followed me the rest of the day and every time I got in the car to try and do my errands I started another subtle panic attack till I got back in the house and distracted myself for a few hours.

Ugh! What an entitled a$%$~!+. I hope that you're doing better today.

Did I miss a section that deals with what magic a character may know from the start? I am not sure if Ciaran knows a spell or not.

There's a Perk you can take that allows you to start knowing a couple of spells. Anora took it, kind of like you took A Way With Wands and Tussle Hardened.

Aaah I was wondering. I thought it might be the spells listed in the wand menu but that makes much more sense. Thanks man.

year 4-7 Year 1-3 then

Yeah, Home Study. You begin with each year with either two spells, two potions, or one spell and one potion. Really useful.

I would like to suggest that it may be beneficial to put those in a Google Sheet and link it at the top of the page - that way they're easily referenced without having to backtrack to the relevant pages of the Discussion thread.

Looks fine otherwise. I thought Astronomy was only one night a week, but every night works.

Oh I will. Just thought I'd share it first and see what people think.

Okay. How many times each week does each house have each class? For instance, it looks like Slytherins have two hour-long Potions classes and a double Potions class. Is that the same for all except Flying and Astronomy?

Yes, I did my best to make sure everyone had even hours for each class. There are some areas where they have 5 hours of something over 4 hours in total but that is just how it ended up. Each House has the somewhere. Like Slytherins have 5 hours worth of Charms and Herbology where as Hufflepuff have 5 hours worth of Potions and Herbology.

Effectively out side of meal times, free time, and bed, all first years spend Flying, DADA, and Astronomy together.

Wow, super thorough. A Google Sheet is a fine idea--you can accommodate all four Houses on one sheet.

Can we extend breakfast and dinner an extra half hour each? I feel like breakfast, at least, is kind of an "Eat when you get there" kind of meal, as is dinner.

I'm mainly thinking breakfast starts at 7:30, and dinner ends at 6:30. Nothing to throw off the rest of the classes, but enough of a change to account for some extra time.

I don't really see why not. Really as free time is right after dinner you could just remain behind and still eat. It would just mean the kitchen is closed at 6 and no new food is being put out.

I've seen those Hogwarts tables. Makes sense. Oh, those poor as of yet unfree house-elves.

Pureblood, Slytherin Year 1, Male Finesse 1 | Intelligence 2 | Spirit 2 | Power 2 Wand: Laurel (Hexes)(Doesn't Work for Others), Dragon Heartstring (Stunning Spell), 12" Supple Flexibility

You mean those well behaved, happy house elves...

You mean the House elves that where actually extremely insulted so it left Dobbi to do all the cleaning of Gryffindor tower?

At least House Elves know their place in the world...

To some extent, and depending upon the House Elf. Dobbi for example wanted to be free and when he was reveled in his freedom. Winky was so distraught by it she never got over it. I think that is really interesting!

Many of the House Elves who work in the kitchen see Dobbi as a Pariah or not a true "house elf", and while an argument could be made that comes from so many years of that, after seeing Dobbi free and still working you'd think that would break.

Ken's stance on House Elves: I mean, I guess if they're happy, it's okay. Long as they're well-treated and stuff.

I do agree that abuse is too much and so would Vincent if the question ever came up.

Hogwarts Apparel

The robes do close for when it's cold but otherwise there are pants and a "jumper" under them.

Honestly, it looks to khaki pants, a button up shirt, either a sweater vest (for winter) or a lighter vest for the warmer months, a tie in your house colors, a crest emblem sewn onto your robes, and that's it.

I don't know the book specifics though. (I just woke up, so my researching skills ain't on point yet.)

Here is a break down of the uniforms

No you don't get to wear muggle clothes under your robes. You do however get to wear them in your free time and on weekends. You will also get to wear muggle clothes in third year when visiting Hogsmeade. Also as you have yet to be sorted the crest would be of Hogwarts.

Okay! Those of you who do not have a House chosen for your character, please either roll in here now or choose now. I need to make sure that out of my list I have enough NPCs in the first year to fill your rooms.

Okay, House selection! Numbers will be determined alphabetically!

1 - Gryffindor
2 - Hufflepuff
3 - Ravenclaw
4 - Slytherin

As the Sorting Hat says, "Better be..."

Which House is it?: 1d4 ⇒ 1

"GRYFFINDOR!"

...I honestly wish I could say I'm surprised, but I kind of feel like that's the direction his character has been going.

Thank god another Gryffindor!

I think Greg fits into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff more than the others, so...

1 - Gryffindor
2 - Hufflepuff

Coin Flip: 1d2 ⇒ 1

Gryffindor it is!

Boom! Gryffindors assemble!

I thought it was, "Griffin... Griffin... Griffindors Hooooo!"

Pureblood, Slytherin Year 1, Male Finesse 1 | Intelligence 2 | Spirit 2 | Power 2 Wand: Laurel (Hexes)(Doesn't Work for Others), Dragon Heartstring (Stunning Spell), 12" Supple Flexibility

Alright...if I am not mistaken then, that is all our players yes? Everyone now has a House?

Ciaran, Greg, Kennith are our Gryffindors
HB is our Hufflepuff
Anora, Dragslav, Isabella, Vincent are our Slytherins

That's all our players yes?

Hmm, pretty good mix

~thumbs up~

I'm going to do my best to move us along tomorrow, moving really took a lot out of me... today.

My sympathies - moving can be a real difficult process. Having done a great deal of it in my younger days, I'm glad I don't have to do it for a while.

Okay, so I found these and I want to know what everyone thinks!
Slytherin
Hufflepuff
Gryffindor
Ravenclaw

Awesome! Great links.

I never even thought about the Common Rooms having bathrooms. That is such an awesome detail.

Awesome! It makes sense that there would be bathrooms in the Common rooms - otherwise you'd always have students out of bed going to the bathroom.

Course, that also eliminates "I needed to use the bathroom" as an excuse for wandering around after curfew.
