More xills! The last two join in in the melee fracas. At ths time it's just too many damn attacks (the full attack is five sword attacks plus a bite!) to post all the math, so here are the results:
A: Move to O3. Hits AC 26, damage 11.
B: Move to M5. Hits AC 28, damage 8.
C: No move. Hits AC 31 (9 damage), AC 25 (11 damage), AC 28 (9 damage), AC 30 (15 damage) and AC 24 (10 damage). Bite hits AC 25 and does 10 damage.
D: No move. Hits AC 30 (14 damage), AC 32 (12 damage), AC 21 (11 damage), AC 34 (9 damage) and AC 26 (11 damage). Bite hits AC 29 and does 11 damage. The bite attacks can paralyse the target, but I doubt that'll be an issue here (if it is, the Fort DC is 18). If Shapeshifter goes down, they start re-shifting back to Oerth with its body and gear.
They finish the ghostly demon; he falls and spacks into a spattering of green ectoplasm and is no more. All that remains is the Grazz't sword in a pile of green goop.

Dragon-Altai crawls along the wall to the room's corner and zaps the abyssal giant with yet another life-draining formula.
This spell is my pride and joy: my empowered Enervation! Attack roll 9+8+1(haste)+3(bard)+1(prayer)=touch AC 22, damage 3x1.5=4.5 levels (round up or down?).
I think down.
She's weakened somewhat as well. She's gonna do the Weavers though, if she can help it.| Altai Iscarni |
W00t! Stay down, ghost demon! As for the giant, I have a hard time thinking we can drop her in one round before she chews up the weavers. That leaves magic - and, as an added bonus, she has negative save modifiers from Prayer and the HD lost to Enervation (I agree - the damage should be rounded down). So Pip's Hold monster spell should have a pretty good chance of stopping her cold.
| Elgan Dreadwood |
Well, Elgan's just 'hanging around',... ;P he could fly over and drop ON TOP of her in Dire-form? AND the Wolf can put up another wall of thorns between it and the drow. Is anything between Jolly and her? He can either attack or throw a rock.
So. Many. Choices! (HAve I mentioned that I rarely get to play high-lvl games?) ;P
| Elgan Dreadwood |
is ther room for Elgan to go Dire somewhere next to her? If so he can/will fly over there and go DIRE on her heinie! Until then,...
At a silent signal from the druid, his conjured companions roar in unison, 'Jolly' pulls rocks rapidly from a bag hidden under vines and chunks them at the otherworldly giant as the Evergreen Dire Wolf rushes forward,...
giant gets to throw 2 rocks, +1 rock for Haste
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 231d8 + 25 ⇒ (3) + 25 = 281d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 161d8 + 25 ⇒ (8) + 25 = 331d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 351d8 + 25 ⇒ (5) + 25 = 30
BOOYAH!
As the stones fly, the Evergreen Dire Doggie flys into a low tackle at the Giant's legs,...
Haste gives it 2 bites, so also 2 trip attempts,...
Bite, Dmg, Trip, repeat ;P
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 281d8 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 191d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 361d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 261d8 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 241d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24
Elgan howls in avian from atop Stiggy's shoulder,
"Oh yeah!Yer goin DOWN clown!"

dungeonmaster heathy wrote:Bel, Gittik, Pip, and Stig up to bat.....How far is the giantess?
Thanks to Haste, Stig could charge her and get one attack, but I think he has to charge through an Ice Storm to get her (if its still going?)
Edit: Ice Storm’s dismissable, maybe we can say Altai dismisses it at the point it would start hampering our movement?
| Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
Again, since Patrick's swamped in meatspace - Pip tries another Hold monster. Will DC 19 to resist, and she takes some ugly penalties from Prayer and Enervation.
[Old peasant]I'm not dead yet! I feel happy! *THUD*[/Old peasant]
Yeah, but the Hold Monster sounds like a winner. Let's save the Weavers! Save the Weavers, save the ... beer?
Pip strums Lucille
"STOP!
In the name of Pip!
Before you break their heads!
Think it oooover ..."
| Beldan Vale |
Beldan hovers, waiting to see if Stig’s charging attack will bring the giantess crashing down.
If not, I can just, thanks to haste, reach a position where I can flank with Wolfie, meaning sneak attack, but I will need to pass through threatened squares, and won’t make it at half speed with acrobatics … so waiting word on whether AoOs have already been taken …

dungeonmaster heathy wrote:Didja roll for displacement? Or does that not work against some s!!~?The giantess lobs a rock; it hits Stiggy and explodes for 14 h.p. in damage. Minus 10 for the stoneskin.
Hell yeah; i sez to myself "1-40 is diplaced." I rolled a 97.
| dungeonmaster heathy |
She's held.
Stiggy can't charge (wall of thorns in the way) but he can get around it with haste; he slides into her through the icy rink and highsticks her with the croquet mallet from hell and smashes her across the room; and she falls having met her doom.
Combat over.
All dead but the three weavers, who don't seem to know what's happening....
exp is
10,500 each.
level up time I reckon....

Score treasure:
2 giant +2 full plate armor
2 giant +2 great swords
+2 keen great sword of Graz'zt
+2 focus shock kukri
5 javelins of lightning
5 potions of cure critical wounds
1 book---it's written on an entire cow's hide; somewhat between a book and a scroll....but it's considered a book.
It can give a +2 to any ability, once per person but it doesn't disappear after one person uses it.
It does, however, require a Giant Wizard from Jotunheim to perform a ritual with the reader to make it work.
(hint...hint....)
and 105,000 g.p. worth of wedding presents...some are pretty freaky.
Under the throne there's a box. In the box, there's about 25 human hearts......taken from Kordites and We Jassians, in a (now futile) effort to set off a proxy war within Sasserine.....

Wow. This is getting intense!
I Likee! :)
Will go play with lvl up later this weekend. (Daughter's Bday is Monday, so gotta pay her some 'special 'tenshun, cuz she needs the luv!) ;) SO it will realistically be the middle of the week.
Ooo,... shopping! :D

Sweee-eeet! If you don't mind, I'll wait with the leveling until I get the APG (it should arrive first thing in September), just to see if there's stuff (prestige classes, feats, new spells etc.) that I want.
As a practical concern: do we split this loot with Oso?

Iconic barabrian female.... take a bang... SKR's gf... too much... please cease and desist.
| dungeonmaster heathy |
Is monkey grip allowed?
If that's the right feat; I'll look around for it for sure.
I thought it was in the 3.5 fighter splatbook; give me a while to look for it cos I.....guess I have some minor drama to throw a wet towel over at the werewolf house.| dungeonmaster heathy |
ogay.....re: Monkey Grip.
Normally (in 3.5, I think in 3P too)
using a larger weapon (i.e. a medium creature using a large weapon)
takes a -2 penalty to attack, and the weapon is treated as 1 size category higher; i.e. a small weapon is one handed, a one handed is two handed, and a two handed is just too damn big.
With MONKEY GRIP there's still a -2 penalty, BUT the weapon size isn't upped i.e. small is small, one handed is one handed, and two handed is two handed.
So it's doable with monkey grip, with a -2 attack penalty.
The damage with the big ass great sword is 3d8.
I'll allow it I reckon.
It's just so Valhallaesque.

I think you skipped a size-increase step - the base is "only" 3d6. So an enlarged Stig with a monkey-gripped Large greatsword would do 3d8 damage, which is still terrifying.
| Altai Iscarni |
oh,....there's a spell in the APG that lets you telekinetically use an enemy to bludgeon other enemies....
Hmmm.... Sounds kinda familiar, doesn't it? Oh, and on the greatsword topic - it only has a x2 crit multiplier, so Stig won't be dropping those knock-someone-into-orbit swings he occasionally gets with the earthbreaker.
