Yes however my build before alteration did indeed overlap heavily into what Taeral did for the group, though with some smaller numbers.
Before I jump in I will happily welcome critiques to my build to help the group dynamic as a whole. I hope I organized his profile sufficiently enough.

i have a belt of CON+2 if anyone wants it?

@Taeral: Sad to hear you leave, but I understand - RL before games...

Since I normally play mostly PFS, I earlier dismissed Dream discipline as flavorful but completely unusable. Here it might prove to be more useful, I hope. Does the character always need to be adjacent to the sleeping creature to use the powers?
Your skills are extremely good addition to the group, as those were Taeral's domain.
I didn't look through each spell, but do you have anything to do if we have to fight mindless enemies?
BTW, there's a very flavorful alternative to Leaderhip: Vile Leadership

Hey guys.
From Saturday 22nd of April, i will be traveling through Japan, returning somewhere on the 13th of May.
There is said to be Wifi in the hotels we'll be staying at, but i can't guarantee a 1 a/day post.
For the games that i GM, this means we'll be on a break during that time.
Aleksand |
I have the ability to affect undead, other mindless no.
I really like vile leadership if Grymp is okay with it.
For the majority of my dream abilities yes. Though, as an elf I get to cast Dream 1/day so my most recent ability Mind Heist can be used on any subject I cast Dream on and Dream doesn't have a limit to its range.
I have felt the same way when it comes to PFS, and don't know how useful this will be but it has potential in campaign and I'd love to run with it.
Most of the theory behind this build is meant for subtle manipulation in the long term. He will be useful in a fight but not as much as Taeral, probably. I have a Ghabit of building characters more useful out of combat, as Gertrart can attest.

"Great news everyone!
A theurge is useful in combat, even with a 12 AC.
A dwarf with an ogre's axe is useful in combat.
A suli who punches whatever I tell him to, is useful in combat.
My masterwork jeweler on the other hand...
Actual melee is pretty much covered just by Mallek.
Do you get a bonus feat from the class?
What is PPP?
Weird, head and headband are two different slots. I know they have almost always been, but still: weird.
I seem to remember three different occasions where we had a sleeping opponent. Brandescar prison, planting evidence among the dwarven engineers, and ambushing an adventurer's camp. It may be more useful than you think.
Are you waiting on me? I hope not.
Aleksand |
Tu' che' Gertrart. On that note, the spell Vision of Hell is quite ideal for this group.
Components V, M (a pinch of brimstone)
Effect
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Effect 50-ft.-radius emanation
Duration 1 minute/level (D)
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance no
Description
You overlay a realistic illusion of a terrifying hellscape upon an area. Structures, equipment, and creatures within the area are not hidden, though environmental features take on an infernal appearance. While you are prepared for these images and are not affected by them, any other creature within the area must make a Will save or become shaken and also take a –2 penalty on saves versus fear effects; the fear and penalty persists as long as the creature remains in the area. Devils and any lawful evil creatures suffer no negative effects from this spell.
As an alternate racial trait, I can get Spell Focus(Illusion)
Source Inner Sea Races pg. 211
Some elves obsess over the fundamentals of magic, training for decades to add layers of potent spellwork before they ever begin practicing true spells. This builds a foundation that makes their magic increasingly difficult to resist. These elves gain Spell Focus as a bonus feat. This racial trait replaces elven magic and weapon familiarity.
PPP = Phrenic Pool Points
The resource I use to use the Phrenic Amplifications on the Psychic spells I cast.
I can remove the circlet in favor of having only one head item, I agree it is pretty weird. I struggled to find god magic items to enhance Aleks. The collar of obedience though is pretty fun.
Looks like Aleks is pretty ready to go.

Hello?
Malleck of Alerion |
here. but good night. 2:30 here :P
-Mordecai- |
I'm travelling until next Saturday. I hope I'm be able to post daily, but if there's any issues with WLAN etc, there might be delay.
Grymp |
Shame you offed the Avoral so fast. Had he survived, he was supposed to go off, get backup, and come back with help.
Remember the fight with what would have been kind of whimpy elven archers? But since their leader was a bard type, and they had humans as their favored enemies, suddenly they were kind of badass? Well, that's what would have happened here.
With that said, the module definitely recognizes that a group of PCs can take out a reasonably big bad guy in a round or two, and that's what happened!
Malleck of Alerion |
If they work together and have a good group dynamic. after 2 years, i believe most of us know where to help the others out =^^=

Right, that Fly spell on you made you dangerous, and definitely the most dangerous against that foe. It would have been happy to lay off and keep nailing you with some brutal damage spells!
Malleck of Alerion |
Yah, up close and personal is what Malleck does best. his range... well. that sucks big time.
But now with his new abilities, a lot less to fear from fire. and the fly boost every now and then, those flying monsters will have a hard time fighting us. thats why i plan to get something when i hit lvl12, to take a beastie that can bring other flying beasties to my level
Gertrart aka Blood Desecrator |
I might have to pick up feather fall...for my enemies.lol

Off to the forge for me then! +1 ballista for everyone!

That happens. When you focus on one thing you are bound to hit a snag

I will be joining you soon :)

Have fun!
Methinks we will not survive the absence. 'Tis struggling before Grymp left. It has been weeks since we have seen Malekk or Mordecai and months since Taeral's last post.
Malleck of Alerion |
im still here. combat was just slow
-Mordecai- |
I've been rather busy, so posting mostly reactively. And the combat had been a bit slow... Whereas I believe Taeral posted some months ago that he's quitting PBP.
While this campaign isn't the fastest running, it had survived some long breaks. Perhaps it will survive this one, too.
Gertrart aka Blood Desecrator |
I meant no offense, I hope it didn't sound that way. Even reactively though, three weeks is a long time between posts. Or maybe that makes my point, combat is generally the fastest part of PbP.
I must have missed Taeral signing off (or more likely forgotten it).
I too am enjoying it... when it happens. Here is to hoping it will continue. :)

To the destruction of Talingrad!

think that was why we had to get the vial from the demon
