"Fuse"-
Hmm... strange. Coulda sworn there was a vermin option there. Perhaps monstrous humanoid, like Formians, would work. Under twenty RP would be optimal.
Ashe-
Was actually going to message you back that you could keep the force push. Those changes would be great, thanks.
Longears-
I wouldn't worry about most of the values. They're (usually) situational, and I'm one of those cruel GMs who know how to handle a potentially game-breaking situation.
Endoralis-
Near-human/subspecies, then. Cool.
Azih-
Human is hardly underpowered considering yet another bonus feat on top of the ones I'm giving these characters, in addition to the skills, and the racial bonuses they give to classes are usually quite powerful. Especially to Oracle, methinks.
IronGiant-
Investigator technically uses alchemy. They have a Sleuth archetype that forgoes all magic for intelligence-based Swashbuckler-esque boons.

Adding the build and such into my Alias shortly but thought I'd add my race write up for those here to view. Let's see who recognizes the origins of this race. I still have equipment to deal with but figured I'll have that done shortly. Stat line updated soon.

Life After Death ?
An esper who is reduced in hit points to negative their con score does not die, instead they revert to a crystalline state where they retain their awareness and knowledge but have limited ability to affect the outside world. While in this state they are invulnerable to harm and cannot be destroyed short of divine intervention. The esper can be restored via a raise dead spell which causes the crystal to reform into their original body.
The esperish people are a rare race of beings that exist…elsewhere. There are a very few of them in the entirety of existence and most people will never know that they've met one. Any given esper is connected to and elemental plane in some manner and while this is hereditary in the rare occurance of a child there is no guarantee that the child will share their parents elements. While not all are humanoid in shape most are and it is even rare to find a non-humanoid type. They are not a naturally occurring race rather a created one as a trio of deities desired slaves to do their bidding and created them from human and near human stock. Despite their origins espers have more in common with outsiders than they do aberrations Eventually the espers rebelled and helped to change their gods but eventually were banished from their home universe.
Over the countless millennia since they were banished the espers helped unite a significant portion of existence until they were able to eventually able to leave power. Since that time they have become maligned by those they once guided and several attempts to exterminate them have failed. Despite a nation of their own being formed the espers eventually left their adopted home and dispersed into existence at large. The only reason they have continued to survive with their low birth rate is that they are immortal. And esper can't truly die as they revert to a crystalline form upon death. This crystal can be revived in a few different ways and it makes it extremely hard to permanently end one of their kind. With their dispersal into the general population espers have begun to explore areas where the mainstream explorers don't bother to go, universes where there are large populations but not enough valuable resources to make dealing with them worth it.

Posting in to maintain my interest here, and also trying to decide on a concept. I thought I was set with my soulknife, but I've been thinking about other ideas as well... I'll settle on something soon. Part of it is wanting to draw inspiration from some kind of sci-fi or something, but I'm not entirely settled on what.
I suppose one question worth asking is how much world-building RP would you be okay with, Jaster? The idea seems to be that the various countries still exist but are planets instead, at least from my understanding of what's been put out so far. Is it cool to expand from there and take things in new directions, or would you rather keep things close to "vanilla" Golarion with a sci-fi twist?

Roycilo |

I've been working on a primary pilot-type, and will probably have my submission up tomorrow. Looking like what equates to a reflavored Wayang, though I may swap out some of the racials via the race builder to make it fit the setting more. I'll detail what, if any changes I make, of course.
He will most likely be a Synthesist Summoner, to avoid falling in the trap of being a squishy pilot who's forced to stay on the ship.

Azih |

Fair enough. Bit concerned about custom designed races leaving a plain vanilla one in the dust but if you think that's not a concern then that is great by me :). Will have character crunch and fluff up by tonight. All done except for Gear, which I'm not too sure about at the moment. If we're doing Guns Everywhere then that changes things up a fair bit.
Edit: Nice thing about Guns everywhere is that it makes guns cheap and makes them simple weapons so no need of extra feat.

Fuse does not remember his birthplace, nor his parents. Twenty-Four years ago, he awoke upon a cold, metal surface. He could not see, nor hear, and he felt only pain. His entire body felt both freezing and fiery, and he could not move a single muscle. He could not breathe, and he expected, hoped, that he would fall unconscious. He didn't. Fuse lay for what can only be described as eons on that cold, metal surface. Perhaps this was death. He felt like crying, but couldn't. The pain never dulled, and his senses never came, until he felt something different. This cold, metal blade cutting into his skull felt like heaven. He finally fell under, and slept.
When Fuse woke up again, he immediately opened his eyes. He could see, he could hear, and it was so much better than he thought he remembered. He sat up and looked around the room. He was in a hospital room, and he looked at himself, noticing that most of his chest, as well as all of his limbs, were made of metal. There was a large hole near the top right of his chest, and a long tube rose out of it. The tube thinned, and was jammed into a medicine bag. Fuse smiled and enjoyed himself for a while before several men in armor entered, pointing guns for a moment before realizing that Fuse was perfectly content. A short while after, a few doctors came in. Fuse loved hearing every detail of speech. He had questions, but they could wait.
"Ah, hello. I'm surprised you're so, uh... happy. Tell me, what do you remember?" The doctor asked, Fuse smiling ear to ear, laughing and quickly replying.
"Absolutely nothing!"
The doctor frowned and wrote something down. "You were in stasis for a long time, doctor. When did you wake up?"
"I'm a doctor? I woke up first a long time ago, but I just woke up again about twenty-two minutes ago."
The doctor's eyes widen. "You woke up...?" He writes something down and waddles out of the room quickly.
The men in armor stay, but relax in chairs. They all have helmets on. Fuse checks the tube sticking out of him, and realizes that when he spoke, he sounded strange. The floor was metal, and reflective, so he looked at it. His face was cut diagonally, nearly completely made of metal. He felt like frowning as he realized that the soldiers couldn't see him smile. He shook his medicine bag absentmindedly and a soldier yelled at him to stop.
"What? I can't shake this?" He asked innocently before shaking it harder. He quickly realized that his arm was much stronger than normal, and he crushed the bag. He tore the tube out of him and apologized. A soldier walked outside the room, and Fuse heard him yelling for someone. After a few minute, he felt a bit of an ache where the metal and natural parts met. He realized the situation he was in, and stood. Only when he did this did he realize just how much of him was machine. The soldiers raised their guns, and Fuse quickly tackled the nearest one. Grabbing his gun, he shot each of the other guards and ran outside.
Twenty years had passed since his escape, and only he knew what happened inside of that facility. Fuse, a name he gave himself, was now a scientist aboard the gigantic station Sarvatrika. He was a cybernetic and chemical researcher, inventing and innovating new potions, as well as adding to his 'replacements' and letting off steam. He had created various different functions, such as a small drone that could carry around vials, a small hose that could spray acid, a spring-loaded vial launcher, a suit of armor with a tab to cover the hole in his shoulder, and an alchemical bomb, discovered fairly early in his new life.
Though he isn't a fighter at heart, his adventures in his earlier life and his cybernetics means that he isn't a pushover, either.

Fraeijia-
Some days the dice just want to screw you over, I guess. Liked the backstory and fluff of your character.
Loup-Blanc-
World-build however you want. I'll inform you if it goes somewhere I don't want it to, though I'm okay with most anything.
Azih-
Looking forward to it.
It should be noted that it is technically Guns Everywhere, no one should feel obligated to build a character around it.
Fuse-
Looking good. Makes a lot of sense as an alchemist given the setting.

Here's Neve Aurora. Haunted Oracle of the Heavens. A bit of a blue collar brat, a bit of a valley girl. Firefly/Joss Whedon sidekick type basically as she's a spell caster (Joss Whedon main characters are always really martial). Looking for a job as a navigator or pilot. Not really looking for a dangerous gig so she doesn't even have a weapon but it won't be hard for her to save up for a revolver if she needs it. Up for, you know, whatever. NG, so no really evil pirate stuff though 'kay?
Outside of combat she's a really good diplomat and navigator, decent pilot.
In combat: I'm thinking she's going to be a controller and buffer type. Off healer.

Background:
So my parents are, like, transporters. That's what my mom says. My Dad calls himself a 'trucker', whatever that used to be, which drives my mom nuts. Anyways they've got a pretty sweet setup. Picking up stuff from one planet and hauling it to some other one. They don't take the high risk jobs that can earn thousands of creds going to low sec zones... they're not crazy. They take safe jobs ferrying cargo through the settled an' safe space lanes. Mom says it's honest pay for decent work and best of all they get to build a good life, not ground bound like most people, but out in the black... they're total space loons if you haven't figured it out. I am too I guess. Runs in the family I s'pose. I'm a pretty decent pilot and I've always been tell exactly where we are on the space lanes sos I've been earning my pocket money as the ship navigator. Totally being exploited right? But family's family so I don't make too much of a big deal out of it.
Anyways they make enough to save up for whenever they decide to retire and to keep the Bella running. That's the name of our ship... well their ship. It's sweet and amazing. Most of her is just cargo space but the living areas are cozy and comfortable, full artifical grav, couches, and my bedroom was awesome with a huge bubble window facing right out into space. Mom and Dad are both amazing pilots, and Dad's a great mechanic while Mom has a head for numbers and dealing with business. "That's really all you need" Dad says. And like for the first 15 years of my life it was all I needed too. Just the three of us. Well four, as far as I'm concerned Bella was like the best big sister ever. I had to move out though because the... freaky... stuff that keeps on happening around me just got too much.
It's always been that way. Weird stuff just moves around on its own, things shift where they shouldn't. Whispers and stuff, Things get messed with. Poltergeist crap. Parent's don't know what the hell causes it but they say it's probably been with me since I was born. They say that they were doing one last short run while my mom was preggers with me but I came early and they were forced to dock at some weird old space-station for help. It was mega creepy according to Dad but they had a medic there that helped Mom out well enough. Anyway they thanked the people there and offered to pay for it but the people there refused payment and my parents booked it out of there as fast as they could with me in tow.
It was always kinda minor but lately the freaky deaky stuff has gotten so bad, especially when I'm on Bella, that the cargo Mom and Dad haul has started to get damaged which is bad news. 'specially since as they get closer to retirement they've started taking more sensitive and fragile cargo on to boost what they get paid. Can't have that getting damaged at all. Anyway I made up my mind that I didn't want to screw up their plans or mess with Bella and I'd head out on my own as soon as I became an adult. I told them of my plans a little after my birthday and well... I convinced them that it was a good idea. I was always a little charmer according to Dad. Anyway I don't know what exactly I'm going to do with the rest of my life, but I know it's not going to be ground bound if I can help it. Anyway the stupid ghosts that follow me around? I think there's a reason for it. I think I have some inner... power. I feel like I can... do things that other kids can't. So I think I'm going to be alright. Whatever. It'll be fun at least.
Motivation: Looking for a job as a Navigator or Pilot on some ship. It's almost scary how good she is at Navigation.

Ashe |

I like the synth summoner mentioned above. If it was a gestalt game I would have considered it for a jedi type with the eidolon being a play on the force surrounding and strengthening the body.
On Deflect arrows: Yes it can deflect any small projectile. It is easier to think of it as the ability to dodge one shot a round then go with that, but if you have an energy blade or a Robot arm then deflect away. I will be picking it up when we level :)
@GM consider changes made. I will make the changes when I create the alias if I'm selected.

Peet |

Mine was built with 11 pts, Ashe's with 16 pts, Marconi's with 17 pts, Arachnofiend's tiefling-based is 13 pts and Tik'Klik is a wyrwood that is worth 20 pts.
It would be nice the to get a common value, ...
I'm currently working up Kenrar Tane, but I would like to know the answer to this too.
Right now I have two race profiles, one for a 17 RP race, and one for an 11 RP one. I can go either way.

Tik'Klik wrote:Still waiting on feedback on the armor questions...
I assume from above then that we're using the Armor as DR option rules? How will armor work for droid type characters?
Debating on whether to go with a full sorcerer, or dipping a level of gunslinger for the gun training...
I believe the GM said that armor works like it would for arrows, at least, most of the time. It targets the normal AC.
Anyway, looking at the characters, I'll switch over to a barbarian so we have some frontline. I can still handle cargo and such but I don't have as much intelligence.

Deep in the crafting lab of Dominick Revith, Master Golem Crafter
"OH MY GOD! Master Revith is going to kill us both!" Tansy Revith breathed, as the rose quartz crystals that were supposed to be the 'brain' of the golem finally stopped tinking on the flagstone floor of the shop. It had taken awhile for them to stop, as they had gone from one large crystal to a few million shards.
Her brother, Mils, was pale as he looked at what he'd done. That crystal was the last of the crystals, and this golem was a rush job for a very important noble. He'd been told not to touch the crystal, but the magic thrumming in it had been almost siren in it's humm. "Oh god! Grandpa's going to skin me alive... He'll turn me into a flesh golem!" Mils panic'd, overly so, given his grandpa was not in the habit of making such things.
Tansy fluttered, her face nearly as pale as Mils. "I'll get blamed too you know! I told you not to touch it!" She drives her fist into her brother's shoulder hard enough to leave a bruise and generate a cry of pain. "What are we going to do?"
Mils bites his lip in pain and thinks as hard as he's ever thought in his life. Then his eyes widen. "What about that sapphire crystal that Grandma keeps sealed up in her lab? The one she found in the old ruins that she said she couldn't figure out who made it or what for? If we put it in the golem, and then seal the head up, we can tell Grandpa we helped by sealing the head, and we'll not only not get in trouble but we'll get praised for helping on a rush project!"
Tansy stops, opening her mouth to say what a stupid idea, but then stops and thinks as well. "But... what if it doesn't work? We don't even know it is a golem control crystal. It could be a power stone."
Mils groans. "If it doesn't work, we're not in much more trouble than we are already, and if it does, we're out of trouble. I'll clean up, you go get the crystal!"
Tansy looks unconvinced, but then nods. "Ok, fine, it's worth a try. And Grandma hasn't looked at it since we were like, 5, so I doubt she'll notice it's gone before we're 20."
Twenty minutes later, the shards of rose quartz were gone, dumped into cursed bag of holding Grandpa kept around for disposing of dangerous magical artifacts.
The two apprentices struggle to get the blue sapphire, which is a dodecahedron to fit into the head chamber of the small wooden golem which was layed out for the rose quartz octahedron. They ended up having to add in some additional connectors and mithral mounts to get it in and stabilized, but finally it pulses with a cold steady blue light, much as the former rose quartz pulsed with a warm steady pink light.
Then they go about sealing the head, finishing the delicate connections as quickly as they can. When the final seal is complete, the golem's sensor crystal, a long rhombus of onyx, rotates in it's socket 3 times, and the golem's open mouth slit makes a sound. "Tik'klik" It says, then the body goes back to not moving.
"I never heard a golem talk before... are you sure this is ok?" Tansy asks, sounding nervous.
"It wasn't talking, it just clicked something inside. You know grandpa said golems sometimes twitch when they are first sealed up." Her brother says, although his tone sounds like he's convincing himself as much as her.
The sounds of a large man approaching down the hallway send the duo scrambling to not look guilty when their Grandpa comes in, ready to seal up the golem he finds already sealed and humming with magic in standby mode.

Azih-
Yours is a character I can really get behind. Always liked the Oracle class, though I can't help but notice she's not carrying any weapons. Was that a conscious choice?
Longears-
Well, I was expecting about as much melee as usual, but I suppose guns just took over XD.
Chances are, my IRL friend will play a melee class. He... likes smashing things.
Ashe-
I am SO ready for Star Wars!!! Tonight will be THE defining moment of my entire life. No spoilers, please, lest you enrage a GM.
Peet-
May I see them both?
Tik'Klik-
Whoops, sorry.
Armor can be worn, but most droids use a replaceable plating that takes an hour to put on, the benefit being, unlike squishy organics, they don't have to take off their armor. And yes, it would count as armor in terms of spellcasting.

So in the third book of shattered star they actually give the racial stats of a Eoxian. I was thinking of playing one of the last few living members of that race. A nice necromancer who is learning how to combine his arts with the technology that he will be discovering. The race is basically human but with a +4 to intelligence and a -4 to constitution. They look like regular humans with sunken eyes, much thinner bodies, and skulls that resemble those from aliens in "Mars Attacks" but a bit less pronounced. Would that kinda race be find Jaster?

Loup Blanc |

Alright, getting my submission together at a decent clip now, with a solid plan and everything. Definitely playing around with worldbuilding and taking some of Golarion's groups into the future to play around with a basis for the character, and hoping it'll turn out as cool as I hope.
By the way, Jaster, I'm wondering if my character can start the game as part of a martial tradition of sorts, altered slightly in fluff. The tradition in question is the Scarlet Sentinels, which would be renamed to the group my character's part of. The basic idea of joining the tradition (which offers a discipline he already has access to) is that he gets a benefit in return for maintaining an oath. Let me know what you think; I'll totally understand a no, or weakening the bonus, because it is a pretty nice benefit.
Benefit: While he maintains his oath, the Scarlet Sentinel gains a +2 competence bonus on Will saves, and a +4 sacred bonus to saves against compulsion effects. If he violates his oath, he loses these benefits and has a year and a day to seek forgiveness from his order; otherwise he loses them permanently.

Fraejia |

There, got my build and equipment finalized, with the exception of one language which I'm open to suggestion on. I tweaked my stats slightly and took a major drawback, in addition I tweaked the backstory to accommodate it. My description now takes into account the lack of fire arm and I took a set of "armor weave clothing" that is a re-skinned chain shirt.

![]() |

@loc: I do not know if you are open to other players feedback, but it would be nice if you build a different PC. We already have plenty of spellcaster, almost all of them Intelligence focus... Another one would mean one of two things:
1 - your pc overshadows another PC;
2 - your pc is overshadowed by another PC.
In any case it will not be fun for us all.

Arachnofiend |

mdt - Tik'Klik - sorcerer (sage seeker) 2
TheIronGiant6 - Fuse - alchemist (grenadier) 2
Arachnofiend - Razza Kolvir - bard 2
Ashe - Stishas Kisthan - warlord 1/swashbuckler (inspired blade) 1

Azih - Neve Aurora - Oracle 2Hum... how much 'melee' do you intend to make this fights? Looks like, to the moment, almost everyone is a spellcaster.
Razza is a spellcaster, yes, but she's also a dedicated melee fighter. She provides supplemental damage with her longsword and (eventually) debuffs with Riving Strike. Since she's not intended to be the primary hammer I gave her a shield so she has the AC to stand alone in melee if she needs to while the real damage dealer pelts the enemy with Inspire-boosted arrows (or alchemical bombs, or psychic blasts...) behind her.

May I see them both?
Note that this is by no means finished, but here is Kenrar Tane. Ignore the gear and other stuff; all I have right now are race profiles, skills, and vital statistics. Both "advanced" and "normal" profiles are here.
BTW...
2nd level hit die: 1d10 ⇒ 9
Yay!
BTW, JK:
What would you think about a custom Rogue archetype that trades out Sneak attack for Gun Training? I know I can just dip one level of gunslinger to get gun training but I prefer playing a single class all the way to level 20.
I'll hash out some ideas and send you a PM.

Roycilo |

I'm working on my Synth Summoner. The more I think about it, the more I think I will keep the Wayang as he is, but I was curious if the Plane of Shadow was still another plane. I liked the idea he is from the area beyond space, the System of Shadow, a cabal of races who've managed to eke out an existence around a dying Blue Dwarf Star. Is that alright, reflavoring the Plane of Shadow to be a collection of stars/races living in a packed, dark, dying system? He left due to the overcrowding of the system, and has taken his magically-augmented biomechanical warsuit with him (his eidolon) to make his fortune in the stars, selling his skills as a merc and ace pilot wherever the money takes him.
Here is my roll for 2nd Level HP.
1d8 ⇒ 1
And a reroll:
1d8 ⇒ 7
Not to worry folks, this character is going to be a melee-heavy character too.
Jaster, if selected, I would like to create a separate alias for when he is wearing his warsuit-style eidolon. Would that be too much of a hindrance?

Arachnofiend |

So this sounds awesome and the character concept I am working on will be a ghoran Kineticist that manipulates plants. Totally Groot like.
I feel I should warn you that as cool of an idea this sounds, phytokineticists are pretty undertuned; they're below-average even in a forest environment and lose most of their utility in any other scenario. Given the setting I suspect we'll be spending a lot of time in places where there are no trees at all.

"Fuse" |

I have a couple changes to the backstory that I'll let Jaster know, but to let you all know the basics, that whole background scene is the same, but instead of a scientist, he was an intergalactic assassin and bounty hunter, known for his strange style of using a gigantic chainsword and overclocking his own cybernetics.
And although I still do have decent Intelligence, my role on the ship will be law enforcement and bodyguard for higher ranking crew.

Ellion Hesoni |

This is Michelle Williams from earlier on the non-alchemist work in progress. Before I finalize Ellion's story, could you answer the following questions?
1. How far in the future are we talking?
2. What societal norms have changed now? Has medieval chivalry given way to feminism, are monarchies much more restrained, etc.?
3. How prevalent is space travel?
4. How accessible is space travel for one of average means?
5. How does planar travel interact/conflict with space travel?
6. Do the gods have any problem with the inevitable scientific progress? How fares their level of worship?
7. What technology is "standard" now? Firearms, blasters, etc.
8. To #7, are firearms now "simple" weapons?

10. How has the climate and topology of Golarion changed over the years?
11. What languages are spoken where now? Is there a "common", and is it - and the other languages - comparable to their counterparts from "old" Golarion?
A bit about Ellion: He will similar to a mentat, a la Dune. His domain is skills and surgical combat for mechanical placement, though fluff-wise, he is an ancient soul in a distant era.
Oh, and HP: HP (lvl2): 1d8 ⇒ 4

I don't have the answers to most of these, but I think I can answer two:
8. To #7, are firearms now "simple" weapons?

10. How has the climate and topology of Golarion changed over the years?

I wouldn't mind seeing someone create a psychic (i.e. from Occult Adventures) for this campaign. I think a psychic full caster would work well with the genre.
Sadly I don't understand the class well enough to design my own. Sort of waiting to see someone write up a guide.
You could cheat and be a Psychic bloodline Sorcerer. :V
