Up a story, this room has several coils of thick rope and three large bells about it. There is no ceiling — merely the steeple of the monastery's bell tower high above, accessible by the same spiral staircase by which you ascended to here. A long rope dangles from above, attached to the great bell some sixty feet overhead. There is a door to the south from this room.

There do not appear to be any windows here. Mordenaar seems to recall seeing the figure near the top of the bell tower.
There is evidence of travel up the steps by humanoid types. How many is difficult to discern due to the frequency.

Kinn leads the ascent up the spiral stair, which ends at a wooden platform with wooden stairs around the walls toward the belfry.
Ah! The "heroes" of Belhaim have arrived! a female voice echoes down from above, where a lovely Garundi woman with a smirk looks down upon you, some forty feet above you on the stairs. Fortunate for me, as I was getting bored. Less so for you, I'm afraid. You'll make nice trophies to present to Great Lord Aeteperax!

Kinn really does not like this situation. Armored as he is, he knows that there is great risk in what he is about to do. He nevertheless entrusts his life to the grace of the Dawnflower, as he does each and every day. Coming around the bend, he takes a running leap to plow for the platform behind the bomber.

Kinn gets Errol Flynn-like as Mordenaar and Valgrim close! Endar watches helplessly as Compy bakes into Pharasma's arms and retaliates, but his pike hits an unseen force just before striking her!
Seeing the Compy-less rogue with a reach weapon, the enemy five-foots closer to him and whips a vial off her belt, downing it with a single gulp. This provokes from Endar if he has the ability to take an AoO versus an adjacent foe.
She turns from Endar back toward Kinn as her eyes bulge out an instant, and her mouth opens to regurgitate a flurry of angry flying insects which swarm over the paladin!
Speaking from experience: I hate wasps: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2

Endar's Acrobatics — really more of an acro-stumblics — is sufficient to escape the woman's wrath temporarily. He flails unsuccessfully at her as he wobbles in his boots!
Valgrim's critical slash is far more effective, however, as is Achmed's force bolt attack!

Only Mordenaar's attack of opportunity manages to hit the bomber, but it clearly hurts her!
In air, she drifts back diagonally (mechanically, a five-foot step since she now has a fly speed) and pulls out a vial that she quaffs in a trice! Her form grows blurry as she dissipates into mist! Achmed immediately recognizes this as a gaseous form effect.
The swarm burns, but quickly moves onto Mordenaar and Valgrim!
