Thaddeus opens the secret door to find a very short hallway leading to another door that opens just as easy.
Inside this alcove stands a tall skeleton wearing ancient half-plate armor engraved with runes and wielding an elaborate ceremonial ranseur. A cold blue light glows in it's empty eye sockets. As the group opens the door it slowly shifts it's body in their direction

”Ain’t a bad idea,” he grunts, drawing out his whip and lashing out with it around the corner.
Switch bastard sword to off-hand (free), draw whip (move), then attempt to Disarm the skelly of his Ranseur. (ranged/reach cover rules indicate that the skeleton doesn't have cover from Mors, but Mors does from it ... meaning Mors doesn't provoke an AoO for attempting this Disarm)

"More evil or not ... it's part of the gig."
Mors pulls out an empty sack and some rope. Then—after wrapping a strip of cloth around his mouth and nose in a show of paranoia—he strips the armor off the skeleton. With Zerika's help, the armor and evertyhing else of value go in the sack, which he binds at the open end and ties to the ranseur just below its blade ... creating a nice little loot-carrying shoulder-pack. (Picture the iconic "hobo bag", with the ranseur being the stick and the sack being the red sack.)
He stands back up, rests the loot-pack over his left shoulder, bastard sword in his right, and looks over at Thaddeus, "So, where ya suppose that door goes?"

The ceiling of this cavernous chamber vaults to a height of sixty feet, forming an architectural wonder unsupported by any visible columns or buttresses. Forty feet overhead, a wide stone bridge with an elaborately carved railing arches over the chamber from north to south, joining two sets of massive bronze doors at either end. The central portion of the chamber contains on inlaid spiral symbol and is recessed into the floor, with eight staircases leading up to a wide ledge that encircles the room 10 feet above. On this ledge stand bronze doors to the east and west. Eight larger than life statues stand upon the ledge as well, evenly spaced around the rooms circumference- seven carved from white stone and the eith carved from black stone.
Clockwise around the cathedral starting with the southwestern statue depict a tall man with gems set in his forehead, wielding a flaming glaive; a beautiful woman with wild hair, holding ranseur; a voluptuous nude woman wielding a two-headed guirsame; a short smiling man holding a lonspear; an obese man with rotting flesh holding a scythe; a handsome bearded man with extravagant clothes, wielding a Lucerne hammer; and an imperious heavyset woman holding a mirror and a halberd; The eight statue is (in the south-southeast part of the room) is carved from dark diorite and is threefold in form, portraying a tall woman with three faces looking in three different directions. One side has a kind face and cradles a baby in it's arms, while a second side displays a more stern expression and holds an hourglass. The third face has a crazed look; it's hands are empty, but thorn less roses twine up both arms
