A thread for discussing the echoes inside my head and other things.
Your six weeks of travel involve many stops in many cities, and you have plenty of opportunity to purchase whatever you might need.

![]() |

I'm saving up for something anyway! Currently level 9, but 1 XP from ten. Should be ready to go after I update my profile.

![]() |

I think I was saving up for something, too, but I don't remember what it was... I need to update my character to level 9, though. Need to head to bed for tonight, but I'll get that done tomorrow evening and then get my intro post up.
Btw, hi Sareth. Nice ta meetcha.

Checking in with Quinn Kouniashi, owner of the finest theatre in Taldor and quite the lithe dancer himself. Especially when it comes to a blade. He has no qualms in showing his true form to any who pass, though will often revert to his human form, that of a Tien man, should xenophobia (or outright racism) be encountered.

![]() |

Checking in with Omrax (Paladin 10 of Iomedae)
It appears the group is heavy on divine casters, but I also have a lion shaman 10 if that is a better fit.
Seeing a warpriest of Iomedae in the group, I am assuming no conflicts...like there could be with an evil-leaning necromancy or blood Mage :)

Just applied my chronicle for the Siege. I'm officially ready. I have my default spell prep list in my profile, but I'm open to any requests or suggestions.
Sareth is a cleric of Sarenrae, but moderate and more about the tenets than the church.

![]() |

We can ALWAYS use a cleric of Cayden.

GMTrex |

Skybek, I already had you on the books!

![]() |

A very faithful party is forming. Let's see; cleric, warpriest, paladin, another cleric, dervish dancer (not really faith-based class, but still). What will be our number 6, I wonder. If we have a number 6?

GMTrex |

No sixth. Leaving it at five, as the adventure was written for four and I like five player tables.
So we have:
Cleric 9
Cleric 9
Warpriest 9
Bard 10
Paladin 10
47 / 5 = 9.6 APL, rounds to 10 for high tier. This will work out well because everyone will level over the course of the series.

GMTrex |

Ha! I just ran half this group through Hall of Drunken Heroes myself.

GMTrex |

If everyone (once they're done leveling, of course) could please post the following:
Character Name:
PFS #: XXXXX-X
Faction:
Day Job: (if applicable)
Initiative Mod:
Perception Mod:
Please also note if you are Slow track.

Nice way to start Sior! I've been dying to get that boon for my bard. With a +30 Day Job, it's totally worth it.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

So since this is a long game (4 part series), and there is likely going to be a lot of door busting. Once thing I have done in long games is set up a "Door Protocol." It's a simple post the GM can make when we see a new door. For example:
Sareth taps Quinn on the shoulder with Sarenrae's Guidance.
Quinn then searches the door: Perception: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 13 + 1 = 34
Omrax then steps up and tries to sense evil beyond: Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Mrachni scanes the area as we open the door [dice=Perception]d20+8] (Darkvision, Scent)
Skybek and Sareth flank the door with Omrax opening.
Then the GM can just post and execute (assuming we don't have reason not to. It makes PbP MUCH easier. Otherwise a door can cause a posting slowdown of a day or two.

GMTrex |

YOU WASTED TWO NAT 20s?!?!?!?
Awesome, thanks Sareth. I will use this for future doors unless there are objections/tweaks.

![]() |

Dammit! I did. Blasted bollix up.

![]() |

Quinn also has skeleton keys for locked doors or his own set of thieves' tools should they be needed.
-Posted with Wayfinder

![]() |

Then we should add a "if locked" line in the procedure.

GMTrex |

I think that will be rare enough that I'd rather let you decide how to deal with it. You may wish to cast prep spells or similar.

![]() |

To be honest, I was surprised the first skeleton went down that quickly even with the double-smite. I expected they had like 100+ hp. I apologize if Omrax is wrecking too much and can take rear guard.
He typically is ineffective against the usual fare of elementals, animals, golems etc. However, versus undead or evil outsiders paladins are hard to match.
With all the divine casters vs undead, I am sure the combats are less difficult than would be for a less stacked party I am sure.

![]() |

Don't apologize at all! It's totally awesome
-Posted with Wayfinder

GMTrex |

It's only a CR 8 encounter and uses the same stats as the prior skeletons. Seasons 0 and 1 are fond of weak, uninteresting encounters that make you scratch your head as to why they bothered with it.
They've got some really tough fights too though... so don't get too confident (like my party did). Better to hit hard and expect the worst.

![]() |

I must admit to being amused that we're hacking at this thing with slashing weapons, DR be damned. It's refreshing, actually.
And just occurred to me that I need to remember the bite attack! Sorry =(

Hard to think of a Silver Crusade one that fits (beyond the "Have ranks in cleric-ish skills.")

That must be some good beer!
The only thing Sareth purchases is an upgrade to his headband.

I'm using 1.1.9... Pretty sure.

![]() |

Not sure where to go to do that. Also, I can't seem to type this in via chat either.

Found it! It wasn't selected. and neither was underlined!
