Full round to enlarge, right? If not, I will need to alter these roll modifiers.
Figuring there would be no point in flanking a two-headed snake, Loenor steps up drawing his cutlass and takes a slash at the snake.

Loenor attacks the creature, hitting it, but it avoid a more grievous wound!
Fastenhyme then pelts it with another arcane bolt!
Rapunzel swings at the creature and cuts into it once!

Marianne surveys the dead beast with obvious satisfaction, "Excellent. Loenor can we leave retrieving the items to you? I assume this beast was set here as a guardian, but that does not mean there cannot be a trap to."

Searching, Loenor does not find any traps, but he does find a secret compartment in the intact statues base. The compartment contains several items, including a burial mask carved from lapis lazuli worth 500 gp, three clay tablets describing funerary practices, and a rod of the viper carved from a single piece of petrified wood to look like a fanged serpent.

Marianne nods, and then asks, "Anyone make out what that thing is, I need to learn more about spellcraft, but, well, I need to learn a great deal. Anyway how about we go and slip that book to this scholar of Torches next. Seems like it will be less troublesome than threatening a Madam."

Marianne frowns, "How about we split up? One of us takes the stuff acting like they are not with us, while the rest of us distract the guards by trying to carry the corpses of a two headed serpent into the city to sell? I do want to sell it if we can, and we put the best liar with the loot. I bet we can get it out while we are still enlarged if we hurry."

"I have studied spellcraft and arcana extensively and would like the opportunity to examine the rod before returning." Arovandeon holds out a thin hand for the rod. "if I may?"
As he studies the rod, he also participates in the conversation about bearing it back into the city. "Using the snake as a distraction is an clever idea Marrianne, but I wonder if we could perhaps solve two problems with one solution. Should we place the rod within the snake we might possibly walk it in unnoticed."
Arovandeon has the envoy alternate racial trait, allowing him to cast detect magic (and a couple other minor spells) once per day. I'll try that first, but if it fails, he also has a scroll of identify that I have repeatedly forgotten to scribe into his formula book. He can do so easily by taking 10. Can I do that now? I have an open extract slot which I could use to prepare it and identify the rod with a +30 skill bonus.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26 Well, identify probably isn't needed..

Rapunzel says to Marianne, "If you are intent to bring the corpse of this beast into town, perhaps we can hide what we need inside it? I've got some waterproof bags that should do the trick."

Izoki gets very excited about Marianne's suggestion. His feathers get a bit ruffled as he paces back and forth.
"I really like the trojan two headed snake idea. A small bribe may help get us past the town guards too. I wonder if there is any holidays coming up that we could convince them it is a centerpiece of a parade. It will scare the dickens out of the kids!"

"I agree that passing through the gates with the entire snake might prove difficult, so perhaps we hide the rod in the mouth of one head. Should they disallow the whole snake I am sure we could negotiate for just the heads."
If it appears the guards only use physical searches, and not magical detections, then maybe Fästenhyme can sneak it through under an illusion?

Marianne shrugs, "If you can use illusion why not simply make one of use - a male one of us - look like they are wearing only a loin cloth instead of pack, etc. We can just give that person all of this stuff and pass without bothering with the snake, if we don't need a distraction we don't need to draw attention to ourselves right?"

”Even a simpleton might eventually see through an illusion on his lucky day”, Fastenhyme explains, ”In that case, you'd be literally be caught with you pants down,... and our usual bloodbath ensues. A two fold deception is what we need. Now a loincloth slave, carrying common items, I can do with two enchantments.”.

Marianne nods, "So we bring the snake as a distraction, help me with it then." She drags the serpent to the well and secures it to the bottom of the rope before climbing up. Once everyone is out of the well she unties the rope and begins hauling up the serpent.
Then she places the heads over her shoulders clamping an arm over each and starts heading for the gate.

"Hmm,...this isn't quite thought out, is it", Fast wonders as he inspects the logic of what he was doing. "This really give the guards more flaws they can detect - shall I dismiss it and someone with believable physique truly go bare?
