Thank you. This was rather sudden. We knew that another surgery was coming, but they had to source some donor materiel for her knee. They have been telling us that we would have time to prepare and plan, etc.. then called us tuesday afternoon saying that if we wanted the surgery, we would be at the hospital on thursday morning. Cue frantic rush and massive undertaking to get everything together to get across the state in two days for an unknown amount of time!
Good news is that she is doing leaps and bounds better than we thought she would be doing at this point, and has already begun some strengthening exercises. Doc says that how well she walks after this is up to her.. and I have seen nothing but determination since she was discharged!!
On a completely unrelated note, I find myself in Indianapolis the week of Gencon, and with a support network up here that is going to allow me to spend the day there on friday!!!
That's great, Mikail! On both the wife's health count and the GenCon count. I will be in the Sag pretty much everyday save Sunday, so feel free to look me up if you're around. It's always nice to see people in real life to match the icons in the game!
Also, this does mean that Wednesday - Monday I will be away. I tried to update PbPs one year and it was not a good idea. However I will return!

I have been having computer troubles, and this is the first time I have been able to log in since this weekend on the work computers. I do apologize for this interruption. Hi all - just a little notice on my availability: I am leaving Thursday for a week-long work trip to Colombia, and then the day after I get back, I turn around and head to Puerto Rico to help with hurricane cleanup until mid-November. I will have internet some of the time, but will be very busy so posting time will be limited.

3) Unfortunately, I agree.. it has been way too long without even a peep from him. I do hope that he is doing well.. I actually have friends down in his area and reached out to him a couple of times thinking I could point him towards them, but never got a response.
I think another person may help but is not completely necessary.. I am ambivalent on it, really. Another person may help boost the RP and lend a sword, and depending on what they bring may fill in a few holes, but I don't think that we NEED to have a 5th.

I will have to bow out unfortunately. My new career will be overwhelming during the first 12 months. Thank you all so much for your providing humor and excitement over the last 30 months. It was wonderful to play with you all.

First of all, that was an awesome concluding post, Mika!
Fera's day job is fighting evil!
Finally, I'd be happy to continue adventuring with this group. I'll be sorry to lose Zolarus, but I get that life can get in the way of PbP. With just three of us left, we'll need to pick up at least one more. I'd rather do a targeted recruitment, over just throwing it out there, but I'm flexible. Anyone in particular you guys would want to ask to join us?
As to what to play next - we'll be 7th level after the chronicle, but I don't recall exactly how the level range works with modules. Shore to Sea (which I haven't played either) says it's for 6th level characters, so it can be played by characters level 5-7. Not sure if that will make it too easy for us, or if there's adjustments written in (I've never run a module, so I don't know the details on them).
Anyway, with us at 7th level, here are some options (with target level listed):
6 House on Hook Street I (has three parts and would take us through three levels)
6 From Shore to Sea
6 Seers of the Drowned City
7 Realm of the Fellnight Queen
8 Cult of the Ebon Destroyers
8 No Response from Deepmar

Don't forget I joined the group late, and am only level 5.. 6 after this chronicle is applied. That may mess with the APL especially depending on who we recruit.
House on Hook Street looks amazing!! I missed that when I was looking through the products last night.. and it would keep with the (possibly unintentional) theme of continuous story lines :-)

And it would allow us to play from levels 7-10, if everyone is up for that. We would be at the high end of the level range for it, so it might be too easy (though playing with only 4 players would help that).
A couple of thoughts: let's definitely nail down the level question, make sure we are in the right tier for it.
And if you're up for running it, I'd be happy to chip in to buy it for you (or just buy it myself for the sake of the group), so you're not doing all the work and bearing the cost.
EDIT: Ninja'd by Mika (of course!). I forgot he was lower level, that might help balance things out. We could recruit a 6th level character to join us and APL would be better.

If we're losing Zolarus, does anyone know a good cleric/divine player/character you'd like to add? I'd rather take suggestion before we open recruiting. Or is there another role you think you we should be open to?

Zolarus - as I’m sure you understand, I think that’s too slow a pace to work well, especially if we’re looking at a module that will take us through three levels.
Having said that, we haven’t heard from Hoshiko in a few weeks, and it doesn’t look like her player, Qwerty, has posted anywhere since late November, so we may need to replace another character to continue.
I know I said I’d like to do targeted recruitment, but if we have very specific needs (e.g. a level 6 divine caster), it would probably be more effective to open it up to folks at the Flaxseed Lodge. If we do that, I’m kind of inclined to keep us to 4 players, since it moves things along nicely and it’d be nice not to just steamroll the adventure.
I’d say we’ve got front-line melee reasonably well covered, and Mika has the skill monkey role down, so it would be good to pick up some divine and arcane support, ideally with some buffing in the mix, and we probably want folks right at 6th level if we’re doing Hook Street from the beginning.
Maybe we can throw out a request for a couple of characters that fit that description and see who we get? I’d appreciate a chance to weigh in on who joins us, and would probably just PM my thoughts to our illustrious DM once we’ve got some replies.
What do y’all think?

Sorry for being slow to respond.. I don't know of anyone specific that has bandwidth.. I just sucked in 5 of them for an emerald spire run.. Speaking of which, I have one slot open if either of you would like to join!
The Flaxseed should give us a pretty good response.. and looking over the submissions so far, I think our problem is going to be narrowing it down.
Of the submissions so far, I would suggest: Magabeus and Upaynao. I would love to play with Magabeus, and Upaynao is really good with the RP and is consistent with his posting and playing. (I have GM'd and played with him a number of times.)
Welcome to our newcomers! Please post your PFS #s, dayjob rolls and anything else you need me to know. I'm planning on getting started with this module probably in the next few days, though it should be relatively quiet during the holidays and that's alright!

Welcome to Myrd, Karnhia and Zora! We are all excited to have you join us, having either played with you before or looked through your PbP history and been very impressed!
I don't think I have personally played with any of you (though I may ask Oladon to come up with an app that will make it easier to answer this question), but I've seen you around the boards a lot and am looking forward to where this game takes us all.

Zora's PFS #: 30341-18
Day job (Heal, can use this for day job due to a trait):
There's no real shenanigans with Zora other than she channels and has a lot of them, as well as the channel force/improved channel force feats. Which I have yet to actually use. She was sort of an experimental character to see if I could make good use of those aasimar-specific feats. (Jury's still out so far.)
But, all her cures are empowered and she still has the spell list of a cleric to work with, so... Her direct offensive capabilities aren't great but she'll keep your hit points full. Oh, and in dungeon-crawl type situations I'll probably have deathwatch running.
Thank you for those kind words! Unfortunately I messed up: I also promised another player that I would recruit him into the sovereign court using the season 6 faction card. I thought I had the season 6 card on two characters , but it turned out I only have it on Myrd. Since a game opened up for us both, I will take that on with Myrd.
The only characters I have available in level 5-7 are melee types, so I think it is best that you pick somebody else to fill the arcane role. My apologies.
Bummer, Magabeus, but I understand. Thanks for letting us know!

I haven't checked in with the rest of the gang about this, but I'd be fine with Magabeus joining us with whatever character. We've got the divine and arcane casting covered now with Zora and Karnhia, so any role would work at this point, and it'd be fun to have him in the game.
Another advantage of keeping Magabeus in the group is then we have five players, so we're not playing with the four-player adjustment - so it'll be a bit of hard mode, which is fun, and which might be good if our APL is at the high end of the range for the module.
I'm perfectly fine with that. Magabeus, come back; you're our only hope.
