I'm a little unclear on level ranges for what comes next-- Zora's 7 right now, so do I need to put her on slow track to not be out-leveled for the next section?

Part 2 is level 6-8, so you should be good to go!

DM - I assume the chronicle is 3 XP and 4 prestige? Maybe you could just tell us what the gold amount is as well, and we can work on leveling and spending.

I'm also on the busy side at the moment, getting ready for almost three works of work travel to Australia, where I'll be even busier - so my posting will be more limited than usual October 9-28.

It is 3 XP and 4 prestige, assuming no one is slow leveling this level. The gold is 8712 gp, plus any day job checks.

Huzzah! Yay, money.

It seems I didn't spend much gold at all from the last chronicle, so I now have 15,000 gp to spend. I may just bump up my Str belt, or get a Cha headband, or add another +1 to my sword and resistance cloak - but I'm wondering if I should get something else, like Boots of Speed.

Is Zora likely to be casting blessing of fervor now that she'll be 8th level? I don't really want to make that investment right now if the boots won't be needed much.

I did indeed snag BOF as one of my newly memorized default spells, but probably just one of it regularly prepped.

I might pop some gold on scrolls of haste, though, if Karnhia is willing to use them in combat sometimes.

I purchased a ring of protection +1 and upgraded my cloak of resistance to +2. Ready to go!

I'll need to spend time updating the character tonight (hopefully).

Any particular desires?

Alright, I purchased a pearl of power level 3 and used 2 PP to purchase a wand of magic missile for Riddywhipple.

We now have enervate. Be moderately afraid.

Ha! I'll get the chapter started shortly. I will be out of town this weekend for a family visit, so if I lag, that's my excuse!

Sheet finally updated. Bought a pair of ghostvision gloves and a charisma boosting ioun stone. Also, spent 2 PP to buy a scroll with two castings of haste, which I'll give to Karnhia (or anyone else who can activate it).

Well, this is slightly embarrassing. When we began this module, I said that Fera was level 7. And, in fact, he was, I had updated him in Hero Lab and everything. But I somehow failed to update his profile here - so he played that whole scenario with all his stats as if he were still level 6.

Now, he's level 8, and his alias is updated to reflect that. I ended up buying a +2 Cha headband and enchanting his sword from +1 to +2. With his Divine Bond ability at +2 also, he can have a +4 sword, or a +2 keen flaming sword, or a +2 holy sword...all kinds of fun!

I also have to observe that going from 6 to 8 makes some dramatic differences in damage - his Str went up, his BAB went up so Power Attack becomes -3/+6, his Smite damage went up 2. It is interesting how much bigger the jump is when you go up two levels (or at least your character sheet does).

I'll be on a long work trip Oct 9-28. I'll still have internet access, but will have limited time to post and will be in a very different time zone. Bot me as needed.

Hey everyone! Ferabras dropped me a line. I just took a look, and I've played with most everyone before. I appreciate invite.

Jumping in can be tricky, but I'm flexible with working into the game. I think my best option is to bring my dwarven monk. He's middle of the road in terms of build, and isn't much of a talker (which is odd for me.)

I can easily commit to even a fast paced game, so no worries there. Just give me a day to read through the thread a bit.

DM, dien and Upaynao - shall we recruit another (or two more), or run with four? We've been playing with five, which is always a bit dangerous - but I like danger! And we have been pretty effective in combat so far, I have to say.

And how do you want to handle inserting any new characters, DM? I figure the land of dreams will make it pretty easy to shift people in out and, as the dream changes, but I'm curious what you'll come up with.

As for inserting them, I have an idea that is percolating. I'll post it as soon as we have another player.

I prefer running with 5. We are less likely to be weak in a certain area with 5.

Player I've pinged said he'll let us know today, he wants to be sure he can keep up/isn't overloading on PBPs.

My friend says he's a little too overbooked on PBPs to want to take on another, so if anyone else has someone they want to ask, feel free.

I've got a lead. He's been in my home game since 1996, and has played through multiple APs with me (including via PbP.) He's reliable. He's running at TotalCon all weekend, but will likely say yes.
