Cinna Blackthorn is now done.
Basic concept is that her gestalt nature is derived from a demonic ritual performed on her which put a demon's soul in her. She has been strong enough to control her demon side and use it but at times it comes out (in combat she can only speak and understand abyssal). She has become a Paladin in her search for redemption and strength to hold her demonic soul in check, where as the demonic soul in a Oracle of Battle.
If someone can suggest a mystery they think works better for a demonic powered oracle I'm happy to adjust.
I have taken Stolen Fury campaign trait but I'll probably duel path into Hierophant or Guardian (or Marshal) depending on other characters.

Hotaru of the Society |

First Concept: School Savant(Conjuration) Arcanist + Crossblooded Celestial/Infernal Sorcerer. Periblooded Aasimar.
Important Features: (At First Level)Summon spells last 50% longer(Minimum +1 Round), but this doesn't stack with Extend spell. Summons gain half my level as DR vs. Good AND Evil, meaning high level weapons/weapon buffs are required to pierce the DR. Teleportation a few times per day.
Campaign Trait: Riftwarden Orphan. (Archmage)
Important Fluff: Aidan is a native outsider who was placed into the care of the Riftwardens shortly after his birth. His blood was unusually strong, and the parents felt that if steps weren't taken to contain it, either one side or the other would rule over him, and in either case, he would make for an exceptional summoner. If he were unable to strike a balance, the probability of him one day bringing about something incredible would be nearly inevitable. For the sake of keeping the material plane stable, he would have to be trained in the very magic the Riftwarden's fought to keep down.
Aidan has spent his life studying conjuration magic in order to temper his inborn abilities... and also his inborn will. As a wildblooded sorcerer, his infernal and celestial heritage from being Peri-blooded has rooted him in a constant battle with himself. He has stabilized at lawful good, but at the cost of being susceptible to darker desires.
Variant Aasimar if allowed?: 1d100 ⇒ 72 You gain spell resistance equal to 10 + 1/2 your Hit Dice.

Lady Ladile |

I'm going to submit the Bard/Oracle (Boracle?) idea for sure; already have the crunch done and since I'm basically recreating a character from a meatspace game I know her story and it shouldn't take me too long to write it.
As for the second concept...my mind keeps coming back to a Monk/Sorcerer who despite her amusing and sometimes irreverent behavior (Drunken Master, possibly Master of Many Styles as well) is totally down for punching demons in the face. The sorcerer side is something she considers a blessing and a curse, depending on when you ask. In tandem with that, I've also got an idea for a cat familiar that eventually reveals itself to be a Silvanshee (via Improved Familiar) who considers it his job to keep this crazy woman on track. The familiar shenanigans would be per GM approval -if- said character were to be chosen in the first place.

Madison Weohstan |

Submitting my first of two characters Madison Weohstan aka "Little Crow".
Backstory: Madison had a knack for finding her way in the wilderness and from the age when she could first talk she'd accompany her mother on runs to gather supplies to make the various dyes used in making clothing. Her mother had conceived her with an otherworldly servant of the Godmother Crow, Andoletta, and she frequently prayed for Andoletta to watch over them on their ventures into the wood. Due to her heritage Madison's mother started to call her "Little Crow".
As Madison grew older she became one of the best guides into the forests around Falcon's Hollow and when a traveler pierced the Dark Moon Vale and needed help in the forests around the small town, she was who often got suggested.
Years later, when she was seventeen she met her husband, Barbaneth, on one of these guide jobs. He was, at the time, a young squire and a Paladin in training. After meeting her he found any reason that he could to be near the town and seek out her skills. When they were finally wed two years later she traveled with him for a time acting as an advance scout.
Barbaneth deiced to travel to the World Wound's border to assist there in what ways that he could, but he begged her to stay behind because of her pregnancy. But a day into his excursion towards the World Wound a fiendish creature attacked his convoy well inside of the borders of Numeria. Barbaneth was killed protecting others he was journeying with.
In her grief over his death, she miscarried their child and in the months following her losses she developed abilities she hadn't possessed before. Consumed with a hatred for the creatures that ruined her life she vowed to finish her husband's duty and travel to the World Wound to see his will through.
She sees her curse and new found power as a kind of charge to seek out an opportunity to create change in the region and get vengeance for what was lost.
Appearance: Madison would look normal except for the fact that she has white hair that falls to the middle of her back. She's usually found wearing a cloak made of crow's feathers. Two holy symbols adorn her neck, one belonging to her late husband.

Julian was born to a woman named Lillian Fey, a traveling Paladin of Iomadae who fought in the first crusade. It was turning that bloody campaign she was enticed by an Incubi and her vow of chastity was broken. Out of that dark union Julian was conceived and despite Lillian's best efforts she was forced to make a hard choice. Her son or her faith. Despite seeing the tainted blood that ran in the babes veins she decided to leave behind her chapter and travel abroad, all the while raising the young Tiefling as best she could.
It was during those long years her she heard Desna's calling and turned to the far wanderer and found peace in her life. However Julian grew much slower then his human mother and by the time he was old enough to take care of himself he was yet still a child. During the beginning of the second crusade wandering demons discovered their small camp and set upon the unlucky pair. Despite the ferocity of the demons, Lillian still bore the strength of a woman with years of combat experience and rigorous training.
It was a long and brutal affair, Julian hid through it all until his mother called to him. Fatally wounded and bleeding out. In tears he went to her and she told him why she kept him, her hopes and dreams for him and how she knew he would grow into someone great one day. When she passed from the world he buried her as best he could and carried on alone into the unforgiving world.
At the age of forty he joined an arcane society, determined to put himself to use and honor his mothers memory and her lifelong sacrifice. As the Third crusade was winding to a close in total disgrace he emerged a full blooded arcanist and alchemist. He was determined to put his skills to use and when the fourth crusade began he joined the crusaders.
He was mocked and mistreated, being of tainted birth won him no friends save for proving his bombs in battle against lesser demons. His weapon arm was as fierce as most other recruits and in time he won the respect of some of his peers. It was during that time he learned how to harness hisown body to fuel his magic, a dangerous but worthwhile endeavor. However during a prolonged battle they were cut down and Julian barely survived the fight.
He found himself quickly in over his head and stuck behind enemy lines in the Worldwound. He probably would have never made it back if not for the help of a mysterious woman who helped him trick his way through a group of cultists. Despite their time together the woman never told him her name, but he remember her beauty and a deep sense of sadness she seemed to carry with her.
Her skill with the bow was impressive as well, but the thing he remembered most about her was the symbol of Desna she wore—she often held onto it without seeming to realize it, as if the connection to the goddess was something she clung to in a sense of need, as someone might clutch at a rope while dangling over a vast pit. It was the one connection he shared with this strange woman and, in his youth, he was too shy to speak of his own faith. It wasn't until she left his side moments before he was found by a patrol of crusaders that he instantly regretted not getting her name. The crusaders finished the job of escorting him back to safety, and he never saw her again.
Ever since, he has been lucky when it comes to tricky maneuvers and the like, having chosen to stay in Kenebras.
Now a full grown adult he planned on heading back into the worldwound. This time he wouldn't be so easily beaten...
Julian's skin is like marble and darkly beautiful, almost angelic in appearance save for the bruises and scars from countless days spent training. A pair of black feathered vestigial wings adorn his back side and add to his almost angelic appearance. His prehensile tail, aside from being useful, wrecks this image of being something akin to holy things instead of tainted blood.
He has a very athletic build, obviously favoring dexterity over raw strength aside from his bruising intellect. He inherited a rare genetic eye defect known as heterochromia iridum, so his left eye is violet and his right is a dark blue like the night sky in color.
He often goes around without wearing a shirt and wearing loose pants to allow himself freedom of movement for his daring acrobatics.
Going Dervish Bladebound Kensai. Augmenting his lack of range damage with his bombs which he will eventually take fast bombs and rapid shot to increase his ability to dish out damage when it is really needed.
Fiend Flayer allows him to fulfill his role no matter what as a damage dealer. Sacrificing his own body in the process if he must!
Appearance
Despite his father being an Incubi he was born appearing more like an Erineyes in appearance. However he retains his fathers tail. Otherwise he could pass for a darker looking Aasimar
Clarifications
Will be utilizing spells out of the 1001 3pp product that was offered. There are some real fun ones there.
Julian has no spell like abilities, sacrificing them for an additional +2
Intelligence so his ability scores without points would be 10,12,10,14,10,8.
Spent 25 points exactly to round him out to even stats.
Let me know if there is any issues GM!
I like this entry so I will stick with one for now. I really want to see how it will workout and the two spell/formulae lists work well together making him a good mix of damage, utility and being able to brew potions is an advantage for the party.
Good Luck Everyone and thank you Rednal for the invite!

So lets get a completed list going.
However, until end of recruitment this list will be incomplete, it is a general aid for us and the GM Rednal if they want it. :)
Completed Characters starting from the first to last. I Think
Spooky GM Paige Sentine - Paladin of Iomedae 1/Bard 1
Tim Woodhams Cinna Blackthorn - Paladin/Oracle

Fate's touch had left the child physically marked. Strange natural tattoos covered him from his bald scalp to his grey-skinned but deformed foot. (Sacred Tattoo & Lame Curse) Runes, patterns, and flowing lines in an unusual combination of complex beauty and flowing, sharp points ... and hidden in their intricacies lay hints to his purpose. An edge that resembled the blade of the Inheritor over a pointed sun. Embedded symbols that translated to "Protect" in Celestial and "Avenge" in Abyssal. And much, much more.
And as he grew—always a confident, well-liked child among the orphans—he quickly grew to be massive, even for one with Orc blood. Despite his disfigured left leg, he excelled athletically in a way he never could academically. And while he would never be able to master the nuances of proper wizardry, a rustic power flowed through his veins ... a power that transcended the normal classifications of what was considered 'divine' and arcane'. Between his physical, social, and supernatural gifts, Desh's potential was obvious. And when he was old enough, he was given to the local brothers of Iomedae.
Desh grew into a young man with many privileges. He was tutored academically, socially, spiritually, and physically ... shaped into the kind of man the people of Tenebras needed most. A leader. A warrior. A True Crusader of the Inheritor. (Touched by Divinity)
Desh has lived and served a few years in this role. He's become a valued and notable up-and-coming Crusader, and his easy way with recruits as well as his nearly unrivaled prowess with weapons has gotten him the recent job of weapons training. And—while he's proud of his success along the way—he knows something terrible waits for him. He can feel it in his battle-tested bones and see it in the fiery nightmares he's had since birth. It's a feeling that's always plagued his mind and soul, and he fears the day it reveals itself. He fears the day he'll be truly tested.
Full disclosure, I am in a pbp of this game that is stalled near what I think is the end of the first book. I hope that doesn't disqualify me.

GM Rednal |
@Lady Ladile: My understanding is that monks often have difficulty overcoming things like the DR of demons, so you may have some trouble in this campaign. Of course, if you plan to focus on magic and use monk mainly to move around and support others, that's a different story... XD Just wanted to be sure you were aware of that, though.
@Hotaru: Variant Aasimar powers are from a Paizo book, and thus allowed. More to the point, you can just go ahead and pick one - though for that particular roll, it's probably worth remembering that there's an alternate racial trait (Exalted Resistance) that helps out versus evil and means something else could be more useful.

@Lady: Improved Weapon of the Chosen That may help, but it'll nibble up your feats quite a lot. And until you can get a second or third feat, depending on archetypes and such, you wouldn't be able to bypass the DR. It also kind of... forcibly dictates your god, as well. But it's an option!
@Rednal: If I can just choose: 59 Any good creature you call via summon monster remains for 3 rounds longer than usual. Seems -really- strong for what I'm looking for. Without even trying to snatch the completely OP ones like racial stats. 5 round celestial pony at level 1. :) I was just rolling to see what my option would be, no sense in -not- rolling if it's available, and it also let you say no outright to the variant traits. :)
Also, I derped. It's Abyssal bloodlined, not Infernal. Was working from memory :p

Eben TheQuiet |

Took another look at Desh. Not fully happy with his backstory/motivation. (Pro tip: don't put together a concept at 4:30 am while trying to get your 1 month old to sleep and post it without reviewing it in the light of day.) I'm mostly good with it, but want to interject a but more conflict and potential for character growth ... the basic framework or concept won't change.
Rednal: when do you think you'll be cutting off submission time?

Okay, I believe my application is ready. I present:
Tarov Boulderfist, Knight of Thanehelm
Tarov Boulderfist was one such dwarf. A stalwart soldier-citizen, Tarov was a member of the Knights of Thanehelm, an off-shoot of the Empyreal Guardians. Boulderfist took his training very seriously, as he treated most things that he was focused on, and was considered one of the most adept disciples of the order. He found himself in the position of a squad leader quite often, the spearhead of the knights. With shouted words and his weapon, he would drive himself directly into any enemies (of which Thanehelm, at the time, had few) and stood his ground, protecting his comrades while inspiring them to new heights of martial prowess. Though not particularly charismatic, the dwarves who served with Tarov loved and respected him, for both his tactical expertise and unflagging loyalty and concern for his companions.
However, as such things go, the peace would not last. It started one day with a force of undead creatures attacking from the surface. Though unexpected and without apparent cause, the people of Thanehelm did not pay this intrusion much mind. But when the next day brought another attack, and the day after that, another, they began to worry. This became known as the Beginning of the End, in the histories of Thanehelm. Every sign pointed to the enemies being mighty sorcerers or some other kind of evil, but the Knights knew better: this was the work of demons, and particularly strong and malicious ones at that. News had came from Mendev of a number of powerful fiends that had escaped into the outside world, and both King Torith Brightforge and the Knights of Thanehelm knew it was at least one of these creatures that was sending waves of the undead and other abominations to raze the city.
Every day for the next six years, increasingly numerous and ferocious forces came to destroy Thanehelm. And every day, they were repulsed. But as the years dragged on, the war of attrition began to turn against the people of the mountainhome. A lost captain here, a ruined building there, a family on the outskirts of the city slain. All this led the morale of the people slipping. Eventually, the forces of Thanehelm could not repel the invaders any longer. This was the beginning of the Seige of Thanehelm. Surrounded, starving and in despair, the soldiers and knights of the city began to fall. It was not long before only a few remained, and if it was not for the intervention of great Torag, himself, everyone would have died in that desolate place.
Tarov, now without a home, and the rest of the Knights of Thanehelm (what few that had survived), were left to choose their fates. Some took to mercenary work, others left to find homes beneath other mountains. But Boulderfist could not abide what had happened to his home. He gathered what meager supplies he could, said farewell to his comrades, and headed to the Worldwound. He knew not if the ones that had planned the destruction of his home would be found there, but he would join the crusade against demons, regardless. A Knight of Thanehelm does not shirk his duty, even if his city lies in ruins. There is only justice to be dealt, now, and Tarov will be part of the spearhead that makes sure it is.
Single-minded in every sense of the word when he is set on something, Tarov is not particularly charismatic. While he is a splendid strategist, his solutions to problems tend to be overly simplistic. Keep it simple, stupid is a favorite phrase of this dwarven man.

Alrighty. For now, just posting the -second- concept. As much as I absolutely love my other concept's idea... I'm -afraid- of playing a conjurer and getting it wrong. :)
This is Gigt Earthsmelter's Profile Page. It contains Description, Background, and a bit of the motivation of why she'd come.
She is a crafter extraordinaire... at least when it comes to making weapons and armors. Especially of metal. Depending on how things stack, and if they stack... she may become a factory unto herself one day. :)

Julian Fey |

Building a Druid/Monk, its a concept that keeps rattling around in my head. Will have it posted in a few hours~
I know that the AP is not friendly to monks but after 4th level it won't matter. :) Besides a bear drop kicking a demon in the face is very funny. Well to me anyway. :P
Oooh. Hotaru That does look like a neat concept. :)

Hotaru of the Society |

^^ Thank you!
I once did druid/monk with multiclassing and some homebrew feats to not be -terrible- at both... and then went into shadowdancer.
There's nothing like getting punched by an earth elemental that just shadowstepped behind you. Gave up my animal companion... though there was also the case for begging my DM to let me just merge the shadow and animal companion together... :P

Hotaru of the Society |

Oh, and Julian: If I might suggest it, adding the campaign trait to the list might help as well, in deciding, as it determines which mythic path people are taking... and the book suggests anyone who -does- match pathwise has corroborating stories.
In addition, I snatched up additional characters only mentioned that -may not- be finished. Since you probably already have the little sticky document, you can just toss this info in at your leisure. :)

Kind of! The problem is, that we usually apply 'together' so it's both or neither... which puts a strain on the 'economy' that is 'number of characters allowed' as it were. :P So if both of us sign up, and are considered together, we have to compete with -pairs- of options! :)
Not that I mind overmuch. The characters are ideas, that I get to spend creative time on. So if not selected, it's not like I make voodoo dolls or anything... :>

^Ever thought about picking a selection of APs that you and your friend would like to play and post that you're looking for a GM to run a PbP for one of them? It might help in that you could state right off that the two of you want to play and that way any interested GMs can just recruit to fill out the rest of the group :)

Okay, wrote up a bit for Tarov's campaign trait. :)
But one day, a great commotion rose throughout Thanehelm. A small demon had somehow infiltrated the city, and the whole city guard had been called to catch and slay it. Unluckily for Tarov, he had been out playing in one of the many tunnels of the mountainhome, with his friends, and had not heard the warnings to get inside. So when the Nabasu landed not three feet from the playing dwarf children, they could do nothing but cower in fear.
Relishing in their terror, the fiend slowly approached them. While the other boys somehow found the will to turn and flee, Tarov did not. Whether it was determination to protect his friends, or sheer horror holding him in place, the young Boulderfist could do nothing but stand there, eyes squeezed tight.
It was not a pretty sight. Frustrated with the boy for not running and screaming, but also for cowering, it beat him within an inch of his life. And all the while, Tarov kept his eyes squeezed shut and tried to stifle his cries as best he could. Deep claw wounds marked the boy's whole body, the demon taking great pleasure in scrawling terrible bloody injuries onto the dwarf child. But his terror did not last long - his friends had not left him for dead, but had gone to call the guard. The last thing Tarov remembered before blacking out was a heavily armored dwarven man in steel gray armor. And on his chestplate, the emblem of a closed fist: the symbol of the Knights of Thanehelm.
When Tarov once again woke, it was three days later. Bandaged heavily and confined to his bed, he was happy to be alive. And in the weeks after the attack, Tarov found himself becoming stronger and tougher than he had ever been before. Though his skin was now covered in numerous small scars, he felt more healthy than he had ever been. Hearty and hale, he now began to dedicate his youth to become a knight. The thought of being able to save others, like that man had saved him, drove the young Boulderfist onto the path that would define the rest of his life.

That's what Pathfinder Zoey actually suggested to me. The problem therein is that to me, it feels odd asking a DM to please DM for me :P It makes a lot more sense to show up to a table that looks good to you and dive in, and maybe get turned away. I haven't really been stung by being turned down, either. Especially since I know that trying to squeeze two characters in is hard. It just seems more reasonable to try to get into a normal table, rather than ask that a table be built around us. :)
Though, if -she- wanted to do that, I wouldn't stop her... :P

@ GMRednal
Question 1) Are PrC's allowed? And if so is it one side only?
Question 2) Since 3.X is somewhat 3rd party, are paladin's of freedom a possibility or do you not utilize the 'paladin needs to be within one stepf of deities alignment' thing?
Thanks!
Still working on second entry should be done by tomorrow. :/

Hey I'm a friend of Hotaru of the Society dotting for interest, not 100% on what i'm going to submit yet but I'm leaning strongly towards an arcanist/rogue
Depends on a few things
Do Arcanist Exploits have spell failure?
For class skills do we take both classes class skills or just the one with the most?
Does mage armor stack with armor, chain mail+mage armor?
