Did Daylight reveal anything? That's all I was waiting on. I figured since I'm last in initiative I didn't need to say I delayed to see if the light revealed anything. If it didn't I'll act.

Post is completed finally! Had to make adjustments to my preroll dice and removed a bunch of unneeded text and placed in ooc at the top of my post for tracking.

When this is all over Anatya's gonna have some serious self esteem issues. At this point she's pretty solidly convinced she's nothing but a liability. Not to mention the likely reaction of a dedicated demon hunter getting possessed. RP wise this is gonna be gold.

I'm very glad you see it that way. XD Although I admit that the negative levels aren't helping - with your normal bonus, you'd have had a very realistic chance of Surging to success.

GM Rednal! Iirc Anathya and Rowan were standing close together, since she didn't want to leave her unprotected. Which she just failed, again. Mainly wanted to know if I need to 5ft step or more movement so I can figure out my actions.

A five-foot step is fine if you want to get next to Anathya. ^^

Same issues as Julian, surprised I haven't lost my sat dish. The wind and rain are kicking the heck out of my apartments. Had to fix a few roofs. Playing the part of a former Inquisitor, as Julian so reminds me haha, I thought it was wise that she would have more intimiate knowledge of lesser known uses for spells. As such. the following is of interest. Though as Rednal has mentioned it may not affect this end boss.

Protection from Evil Second paragraph I guess.

Second, the subject immediately receives another saving throw (if one was allowed to begin with) against any spells or effects that possess or exercise mental control over the creature (including enchantment [charm] effects and enchantment [compulsion] effects, such as charm person, command, and dominate person). This saving throw is made with a +2 morale bonus, using the same DC as the original effect. If successful, such effects are suppressed for the duration of this spell. The effects resume when the duration of this spell expires. While under the effects of this spell, the target is immune to any new attempts to possess or exercise mental control over the target. This spell does not expel a controlling life force (such as a ghost or spellcaster using magic jar), but it does prevent them from controlling the target. This second effect only functions against spells and effects created by evil creatures or objects, subject to GM discretion.

Its a long shot. But at least communal protection from evil would stop him from possessing everyone in the room afterwards. She has no other means really of expelling him since Dispel magic isn't a spell we can cast.

I don't have anything I can do from across the room and even what could do seems questionable. Alchemist has access to Owl's wisdom but technically I can't use wild arcana to whip up a batch and somehow cross the room to make her down the potion unwillingly. :/

So with the +2 bonus she should be able to wrestle control back from him, at least as long as the effect is in place.

If its the communal PoE that was cast she has 3 mins. If it was just the single target one she would have 10 minutes before it wears off again.

You don't know how relieved I am.

Personally I could understand Anathya's horror as to being possessed by that which she hates and equally so for Rowan as she fails again to protect her allies. Especially as she has no means other then that then to delay this demon.

IIRC smite evil and all those type of righteous strikes will have no effect or harm Anathya instead. So she is pretty much powerless to stop the Shadow demon. But as a Hospitlar she can somewhat counter his damaging Anathya's body with her overabundance of healing.

Its going to be a rough but memorable fight for sure.

So it's turning out that incorporeal is a real killer here. If we survive it's definitely something we should all invest in.

Yeah, half damage from basically everything is a pretty solid defense. XD Don't forget that Meiyun can make stuff for you if you want consumables instead of something permanent.

Agreed. Rowan has ways to bump up her damage output but hitting Incorporeal is gonna be painful.

Haha, when Rowan pulls out the stops she can get more I AM A PALDIN RAWR! moments. I try not to waste those 1/day abilities unless its needed and its definitely needed. XD

DM Rednal Do players roll spell resistance or does the DM?

Reason I ask is I plan on using Litany of the Righteous which would mean a Concentration check + 3 attacks to make.

Litany of the Righteous is Will negates and Spell resistance applies.

Players generally should roll spell resistance if there's a possibility the foe has it. This one does. XD

I was assuming so, he is the final big baddy and Demons are notoriously tough punks! XD

Incidentally, feel free to roll multiple turns of attacks if you're not planning on doing anything different.

Four rounds posted and sadly casting Litany of the Righteous with impeded magic is just too much of a risk. Rowan is too smart to waste even a single move and allow the demon to clinch a victory because she faltered. Granted it doesn't help that I rolled a 1 to hit in the first three rounds of attacks. Ugh.

If something major develops please allow me to change my actions some haha. I am always hesitant to go ahead not knowing if the enemy is going to unleash an unknown ability. :/

Fair enough. XD In fact, that's kind of my default way of doing things. Aside from situational modifiers ("if my health drops below X, I'd like to do Y instead"), I usually "pause" the resolution if something unexpected happens and ask if you'd like to respond somehow (such as, say, using Mythic Surge to overcome a paralysis effect or something - which isn't going to happen in this fight, by the way, but is the kind of thing I'd let you respond to).

I'm very big on efficiency and keeping things moving, so I don't want you to worry that trying to get through stuff faster will be unreasonably dangerous. XD

Good to know. This'll speed things up though I hope Aron is alright! Rowan is worried so it works with the fumbling swings as she is hasty in ending this threat quickly. Haha.

But Incorporeal is definitely very tough. XD

If he wasn't immune to crits you'd be wrecking him.
