The flying woman shrugged off the coiling spell with ease, though Taka managed to drive Suishen into her shoulder. Aleksson hurled a starknife a moment later, but she knocked it out of the air with the edge of her bow before it could strike. She moved five feet backwards a moment later, then pointed one finger out at Taka... and the two below him. "Freeze." she hissed as a burst of cold erupted out of her finger.

The flying woman dodged Shutai's spell - it seemed like the magic would have to be significantly more accurate if it was going to land on her. Aleksson, meanwhile, focused on healing up - leaving Takamatsu. Flames erupted off of it as it struck her, and she howled in pain. And rage. Mostly rage, really. A moment later, she grabbed a heavy club-like weaponw with both hands and swung out at Taka.

This time, Aleksson's starknife managed to strike the oni-

-though she managed to avoid the worst potential part of the flames. Taka stabbed out a moment later - but the blade went just shy as she twisted through the air. If it had been just a bit faster, it probably would have hit. She was definitely looking hurt at this point, though - even as she let out an angry growl and slipped a bit back through the air again, her bow reappearing in her hands as she sent flaming arrows hurtling towards Taka (who'd made himself the biggest threat to her).

A moment later, she began rising towards the ceiling, spreading out slightly as she moved.

Gaseous things were, in fact, easier to hit - and Suishen flared brighter as it cut into the misty form. The smoky presence faltered somewhat, then coalesced back into the form of an armored, red-skinned woman. (Aleksson's attack, alas, still missed as she reverted.)
She clenched a fist a moment later, then swung out with her heavy club - despite the fact that Suishen was still sticking through her torso and quite literally burning her from the inside.

Taka's bones crack a bit at the weight of that blow. His ancestral spirit weakened enough that his body now takes the brunt of the blow.

Taka pulls the burning blade from the flesh of the oni. The blade now tucked behind he strikes in an upward cut across the creature abdomen nearly spilling it enough for organs to fall out. As it gasps out in pain the next slice comes across the neck taking the head off of the creature.
I hope two crits finish it. Took some license with the scene to bring it to an end assuming I finished it :)

As Kimandatsu's head flew from her body, Suishen erupted into a much brighter burst of flame that swiftly grew to envelop nearly half the room - and all of the oni's body. Deep within the flames, you saw what looked like the faint silhouette of a hand reaching out to grab the oni's body. Then the flames subsided, and the corpse was gone - though its items were not.
<"One down. Four to go."> Suishen said, quiet but satisfied.
Since you have killed one of the Five Storms Oni, Suishen reveals a part of its power! Treat it as a +2 defending flaming katana. As an intelligent item, it is also capable of spellcasting, and it provides a constant endure elements, at-will protection from energy (cold), and 3/day each of air walk, daylight, and see invisibility.
Loot from the oni includes a set of large tatami-do armor, a masterwork composite longbow (+7 str), 20 arrows, a pair of lesser bracers of archery, three keys, and her very-definitely-magical club.

Your guide was, in fact, safe - and he looked hungry, still, but also quite impressed. That said, there was no sign of the guide you'd come here to find... and the appearance of the room suddenly shifted, losing the delicate and refined look.
Revealed for its true form now, the ceiling of this grand chamber rises twenty feet overhead, its heavy beams serving as both rafters and supports for the great hall above. Teak paneling covers the walls, and the floor is of polished wood. Along the walls, wooden columns rise to the ceiling above, bearing banners emblazoned with pictograms from far-off Tian Xia. Above these hang small oil lamps that give off a dim glow. A small porcelain bowl rests before the center column to the south, and four reed mats are arranged before it. Several small rooms jut off from this chamber, but all of them seem to be empty.

As you move through the hidden door, you pass into a tunnel hewn from the native rock, wide enough for you to easily pass through. After a sharp turn, it leads down some stairs - and onto a new floor.
At the bottom of the stairs, when they turn another corner, Shutai notices a tripwire strung to a set of bells hidden just around the bend. There's no sign of magic involved - avoiding it is as easy as stepping over, and you do so as you move forward.
At the bottom, the hallway widens here into a small chamber with a door exiting to the south. The door is banded with wide straps of iron and bears a large, heavy lock. A single brazier provides dim light to this area. There's another door to the northwest, and the hallway continues on to the northeast.

Aleksson nodded, and went tried each key on the lock. A thought occurred to him as he did, which he shared with his allies. "This door seems a bit excessive for one man. Might be something nasty behind this." He pressed his ear to the door before releasing attempting to release the lock.

Despite the trap, the door was open now.
Beyond the door is a veritable trove of valuables gathered into one place. Chests overflow with gold and silver ornaments. Crates hold trade bars of precious metals. Ornate, gilded drinking horns peek out of a burlap sack, and coffers spill forth gold and silver coins in quantities rarely seen in this part of the world.
Three chests, each weighing 50 pounds, hold gold and silver brooches and arm-rings worth a total of 2,100 gp. Five crates hold copper trade bars stamped with the rune of the Rimerunners Guild. There are 20 trade bars in each crate, and each trade bar is worth 5 gp and weighs 10 pounds. A sixth crate holds 20 silver trade bars, similarly stamped. These trade bars also weigh 10 pounds, but are worth 50 gp each. There are total of 23 gilded drinking horns of various beasts, each worth 15 gp, and one made from an aurochs horn and set with citrines worth 135 gp. The coffers hold a total of 850 gp, 1,975 sp, and 3,000 cp. In addition, one chest holds all of what looks like an Ulfen man's gear.

Swearing an especially vile curse in Tian and smacking out some flames as her robes caught fire, Shutai glanced to make sure the others were only singed before she checked the chests.
Looking at the vast pile of wealth, she explained, "I suppose that is worth getting somewhat warm for." Although how on Earth they would carry more than a fraction out...

Falling on his back as they were roasted by the blast, he looked to Taka as he got up. "You okay? Seems you got the worst of it." His jaw drops as he turned back to the room. "I uhh... Wow. Let's take this for starters, assuming this belongs to our guide?" he said, gesturing to the trunk of gear.
I could use my Improved Adaptation (grabbing enhance and lighten) to help us move some of the riches, but I'd get away with that once more today. I've got 8 spell points so that means 8 objects i could affect (provided I don't need to use more from here on). Each object would be enchanted for 4 minutes, and I'd make any of the Small-sized objects (chests, presumably) weightless, and reduce the weight of any of the Medium-sized ones (crates, presumably) by half. Better to wait until we're ready to leave, though. :-P

"We can leave the goods for now explore and search the rest of the place. We can rest and ask our angelic friend to fly a message to my sister and the caravan to come meet us here. Assuming we find the guide we can pack and leave from here in the morning."
