Working on those "10 minute" backgrounds atm but since you said up to two I figured I'd throw them out here right now.
Nowe Toska
A Changeling from Irrisen who came down from the north but now finds herself drawn back as she hears about a caravan that's heading up to the Crown.
Class would be Witch (Winter Witch) and would also probably go into the PC. Other class would be either Barbarian or Bloodrager, a savagery based fighter instead of discipline like Fighter/Cavalier/Samurai.
Combat role wise she'd be a tank with buffing/debuffing and healing from her hexes, out of combat she's a good cook, tracker, and star chart/map maker.
Her familiar would be a bunny, cause bunnies are awesome.
Friday Daud
A human coming from a long line of protecters of the movers and shakers of Ustalav (living or otherwise, almost always otherwise) Daud has always had a fascination with necromancy, undead, and ghost stories. One of his charges was a collector of silk prints depicting folklore stories from Tian Xia that Daud became particularly enamored with. This trip would effectively be a long vacation for him, visiting exotic places and seeing and hearing all kinds of supernatural sights and tales.
For class I was thinking either Inquisitor or Investigator for one part, for the other? Hmm, would you allow Antipaladin? That woukd greatly change his alignment obviously but otherwise he be a Cavalier or Barbarian.
Combat wise he would be a straightforward melee damage dealer and tank, out of it he's an artist (sketches and paints and has gained an appreciation for Tian inks), storyteller and collector, as well as scout and sneak.
Edit: Actually for Daud would you allow the Yojimbo archetype for Ranger?
GM Rednal
@Rysky: Ustalav doesn't really like strange foreign traditions... XD And bodyguards for important nobles generally don't get to take vacations lasting months or years, so he probably wouldn't continue to be employed by anyone while he was gone. I'll have to pass on Antipaladin - not intending to take evil characters - but I think we could make Daud's basic idea happen. Nowe might be more workable, though.

Um I had the Dauds as protectors more of undead than actual nobles, basically Renfields. And are you saying vampires can't be art collectors hmmm? Sorry for being vague though, one of the secrets of the Ten Minute was
Fury of the Tempest
Okay, that's fine. I'll be going Kensai Magus/Swashbuckler then. Going for a Katana wielding master with great damage. But with the Int/Cha focus of the two classes, I'll quite easily be able to be an effective face, and have a few spells and skills left over to shore up some other abilities. I'll work on my ten minute background and character concept in general...

I'd like to throw my hat in with my Hunter(Primal Companion)/Barbarian character, who focuses on rage synergy with his brother, who happens to be a badger. But enough about the crunch.
Allow me to introduce, Davro Iramelis(Raging Badger)
1. Being the bastard born son of an Orc raid rape victim, Davro was abandoned in the forest shortly after being born. He was found by a young female badger, who raised him as her own.
2. Davro's "mother" helped him learn to hunt and feed himself so he could one day rejoin his own kind.
3. Soon after finding Davro, his "mother" gave birth to her first real child, Doraga, who soon became Davro's best friend.
4. At the age of 10 Davro left his adopted family to live with his own kind, Doraga followed and the two traveled the region.
5. Davro never learned to read or write, he makes a living by hunting animals for furs and selling them to the local villagers.
Davro's goals are simple, after being made aware of what he really was, his major goals are to slay his father and find out what became of his mother. He also seeks to rid the world of as many orcs as he possibly can.
Known: Although Davro hunts animals for a living, it is merely a way to sate his bloodlust toward orcs, until he can find a hunting party strong enough to aid him in this venture.
Unknown: Since the incident that led to Davro's birth, his father has become one of the most powerful orc warchiefs in the region.
"Mother": The badger that raised Davro and Doraga, though he hasn't seen her in years, he would recognize her in a heart beat and would lay down his life to save hers.
Doraga: Davro's closest friend and travelling buddy. The two have been inseparable since birth. Davro takes Doraga anywhere, including inns and other village buildings.
Thug Bloodfist: Davro's warchief father. Thug commands one of the largest orc camps in the region.
Aliana Iramelis: Davro's mother who after leaving Davro fled with her village to safety from the constant orc onslaught.
1. Davro does not remember much of his mother, though he constantly dreams of the night she left him in the forest. The only aspect of his mother he can remember is her soft voice ensuring him that he would be safer here then with his own people.
2. Davro remembers his childhood in the forest very fondly, and he wouldn't trade those memories for anything.
3. One of Davro's most significant memories is when he first left the forest, he will never forget his "mother" and the sacrifices she made to keep him alive.
This character obviously relies heavily on orcs, for his backstory and his build. I have never played this adventure path, so I'm not sure how many orcs will be involved, but at any rate I hope to join in on the fun!
GM Rednal
@Alistus: I wouldn't expect to see too many orcs - though it's certainly not unknown for half-orcs to become caravan guards heading towards Tian Xia (their brute strength is rather appreciated, actually, both for killing problems and things like lifting out wagons if they get stuck). For being adopted, what was it about Davro that attracted the attention of a young and - presumably - non-intelligent animal, who in most cases would leave anything orc-scented alone? Why is he willing to go with a caravan to Tian Xia, which has pretty much no orc presence, instead of joining the military forces of somewhere that has orc problems? It sounds like he'd be going away from his goals, not towards them. The average lifespan of a badger in the wild is fourteen years old, by the way, so he probably shouldn't expect much for meeting "Mother" again.
Haru Yoshioka
2) Art: The Yoshiokas consider art to be a part of their devotion to Shelyn, and have insisted that Haru follow this path as well. Her talents include singing, origami, and dance.
3) The Wilds: Since her childhood she has felt called to the forests and fens, going a-rambling in the woods until her parents, terrified, came to find her. They scolded her, telling her of goblins and ghouls and worse in the woods, but she would only wait until their backs were turned to sneak out again. Finally they found her a mentor in Shalelu, the elven ranger, who taught her of tracking and forests, and engendered a deep and abiding friendship and loyalty in the young woman.
4) Personality: She is at times scatterbrained, but levelheaded. She takes each day as it comes, without worrying overmuch about the future. She laughs easily and often, speaks ill of few, and is quick to anger, but also quick to forgive.
5) Physical appearance: Black hair and tanned skin combine with almond-shaped eyes and a lithe figure to give her a striking appearance. She often forgets to maintain it, though, leaving twigs and leaves in her hair and smudges of dirt on her face from long rambles in the woods with her beloved mentor.
My goal as a player is to see her gain a core group of comrades who she trusts with her secrets ( see below ).
They practice shapechanging in private, and it is fortunate that infant Kitsune instinctively change shape with their parents, so that while her mother was in human form, she was too. As they grew, they taught her the importance of keeping the secret, and though she had a few accidents, she didn't give away the family trust.
One day, as she was travelling with Shalelu in the forests, she lost control. When the young woman suddenly transformed into a humanoid fox, unconsciously taking the form as she tried to follow the trail of a hare, Shalelu said nothing at first.
"Nice tail," the elf finally said after a few minutes.
"Oh thank you, I try to keep it well-brushed every night... wait, what?"
Haru looked down at herself, and gasped. "Uh... how did that happen?" she tried to bluff her way through the situation.
Shalelu chuckled and put her finger to her lips, and Haru transformed back into her human form, red in the cheeks as the elf woman she revered laughed at her. However, Shalelu kept the secret the youngest Yoshioka had revealed.
The other secret Haru holds is a fierce crush on Shalelu, finding the elf both enchanting and masterful in her trade, as well as kind and warm to the young kitsune.
Cyrdak Drokkus, owner of the Sandpoint Theatre, is a friend of the family, and is one of the few humans they invite into their home, although they haven't revealed their secret to him, at least of yet. He has expressed interest in encouraging the acting careers of the children, Haru and her older brother Aoki.
2)Leading the songs in praise of Shelyn at Crystalhue: Her parents often do this, but her first chance happened last solstice, and she was nervous as hell about it. She did fine, though.
3)Forest running: Once Shalelu knew, Haru felt free about shifting to her natural form once they were out into the wild. In that form, smells were stronger, the light brighter, and the joy of being in the wilds was greater, so that she felt free and happy as she followed the elf on her tracking and runs through the trees.
I hope this kitsune character is different enough from the others submitted. She would be a Bard/Ranger, playing a skill role, arcane (focusing on enchantment spells) and archery.
GM Rednal
@Paladin: There are very few people who immigrate out of Tian Xia - if they arrived at all, they probably came with Ameiko's family. What drove them to leave Tian Xia in the first place, rather than remaining in their homeland, especially if they're quite private? How much have her parents told her of Tian Xia, and why is she interested in traveling back that way instead of towards parts of the world that are even newer? In the people section - and people keep forgetting this - what kind of enemy does she have, and how has this impacted her life?
Quixote Williams
And ten minute background done.
Loves Koya, and has loved her since he met her.
He’s old- Roughly 63 years in age
At age 15, when he was to tell Koya he loved her, he was knocked out, and kidnapped. Sold into slavery across the sea, he left her feeling somewhat broken years hence, since he swore he would meet her on that moonlit night.
He hasn’t been to sandpoint in his forty year travel back to his lost love- He’s been traveling for ages.
He’s always loved songs- Music flows through his blood and heart.
STEP 2: GOALS
Make Koya love him- Maybe marry her, so that they might
Have fun, and enjoy the image of an old man trying to woo an old lady
Not die.
STEP 3: SECRETS
[And here I’m stumped. He’s an honest dude. He’s been transparent with her entire life. He hasn’t cheated on the woman he’s loved.]
STEP 4: PEOPLE
Koya Mvashti: A poor young boy when he first stumbled upon her, she wooed him with the utmost ease, as he fell in love with her.
John Hemercleff- An old friend, befriended while sailing over to sandpoint to meet his loved one.
White Song- A lyrakien he stumbled upon, who managed to bring him to Koya before she left for the caravan journey.
Josephine Williams- A Lyrakien, coming to the earth, and a romance for his great grandfather. He died ages ago, but the tiny outsider still lives on, and still wanders the world.
STEP 5: MEMORIES
Last but not least, this list will consist of a minimum of three (3) significant memories that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate or anything, just something that provides a bit of context and flavor for your character.
Holding hands with Koya
Playing his violin on a moonlit night.
Meeting Koya.
Listening to his Josephine (Lyrakien great grandmother) sing him ancient songs (Hence his love of music).
A note- I'm using this character sheet for another game, so feel free to ignore it. If I get into this one, I'll drop my other character in the other game, plausibly.
As it is, I'm thinking Bard//Maestro sorcerer, functioning as buffer and battlefield controller, buffer and skillmonkey, or something else. Not too sure, to be honest.
Haru Yoshioka
Her parents left due to the rising unrest in Minkai, not wanting to be involved in the troubles. (I seem to recall that's why the Kaijutsus left too, I think I read that somewhere. Maybe they did arrive at the same time.)
They've taught her some of the language, and the culture in particular the arts. They don't talk much about history, or why they left, and this makes her curious. She doesn't feel very much a part of the community -- always having to keep secrets and not having many friends -- so she's hoping she can find people like her somewhere in the world.
My apologies about the enemy part, I thought I saw a post from you above saying the enemy wasn't important.
A gang of local boys seem to always be following her and her brother about. The leader, Gutsin Samil, is the son of a man widely believed to be a local Sczarni boss. They're known for petty mischief, cruelties to animals, things like that. Haru thinks they suspect something is not normal about her family, but doesn't know, and it makes her feel very paranoid. What might this community she calls home do if they discovered who she was, who her parents were? Would they run them out, or call them evil?
Jacob Romero
Ten minute bachground redux. Less in search of answers and more driven to prove his point.
1. Jacob Romero is a non-evil necromancer.
2. He is both a divine and arcane caster. He worships Nethys the god of magic. Nethys is true neutral which means all magic should be as well. It is not the magic but the practitioner that dictates alignment. No one school should be feared or shunned more than any other.
3. He is a prodigy. He finished his studies in magic at a young age but never actually graduated. The school he went to taught all magic, including necromancy but not how to raise the dead which was a big part of the school. Such magic was forbidden. Jacob was highly motivated to learn all magic so to be denied any aspect of any school because people were uncomfortable annoyed him. He attempted to go behind his professors' backs but was expelled before he could get too far.
4. Jacob knows that his experiments would get him in trouble if the common people found out. He would be shunned in the best case and hunted in the worst. For this reason he keeps to himself and hides his final products under heavy disguises.
5. Jacob is physically feeble but mentally strong. He stands at only 5'8" with dark black hair and piercing blue eyes. He has an impressive intellect with a matching will and determination.
6. Jacob realizes that the souls of the dead inhabit the bones of the unloving. That such an existence denies them the right to pass on into the next life. He also realizes that, in the grand scheme of things, their time spent in his employ is negligible compared to the eternity awaiting them. Even then, binding the good and righteous would hamper his cause. He doesn't plan to do that unless they are willing. Evil will be bound with impunity however. Maybe in death they can do some good.
1. Jacob's main goal is to prove that necromancy isn't evil. That it can be used, like all magic, to the benefit of society if wielded with care and intelligence. For that reason, he hates the ones that give the school a bad name. The ones that use it to prey on the fears of common people or believe that undeath is the ultimate form of existence. Both philosophies are wrong to him.
2. Another goal of his is to see if there is a link between arcane and divine magic. He intends to see if he can fuse the two together to create more powerful effects. Necromancy is the perfect test subject as it is his specialty and both kinds of magic share many of the spells from that school.
3. I think it will be an interesting journey, trying to play necromancer among a good aligned party. Trying to keep them and everyone else from finding out or, if they do, trying to convince them that he isn't their enemy. That undead can be used to better a city rather than destroy it.
1. Known secret: Jacob's guardian, who he calls Gregory, is in fact a skeleton and his first successful creation. It was made using divine magic on the corpse of known evil black orc. Their kind usually worship Orcus, Demon Lord of the Undead. Now he works for Jacob. It seemed ironic. To hide the fact that it is an skeleton, he put it in a diving suit and filled it with a soft putty to give it bulk. He then added, clothes, armor, a mask and a cloak to hide any and all sign of undeath. It doesn't even detect as undead but it does detect as evil.
2. One thing he is not aware of is that he is not an unknown quantity in the world of necromancy. There are some groups that do not like his thinking but respect his abilities. If he could change the perceptions of common people to not fear the undead as they do it would weaken their power.
1. Felix. He is a rogue and the only one that knows his secret in town. But Jacob also knows something about him. They have an agreement not to rat each other out in case of mutual destruction. Jacob also makes him scrolls every now and then for money. He doesn't ask what they are used for.
2. Gregory. His trusty bodyguard. As described above, Gregory is a Black Orc skeleton and under his full control. He follows Jacob, watches over him as he sleeps, and does simple chores. The perfect little butler.
3. Father Abstalar Zantus. Jacob has replaced Father Ezakien Tobyn as grounds keeper and mortician at the Sandpoint Cathedral. He may not follow Desna but like Zantus, but he has decent skill with preparing the dead. It also allowed him to become familiar with anatomy and helped further his research. Gregory patrols the grounds and does menial chores and seems to be having no affect on the dead nearby. And thankfully, the ground is not consecrated nor has Zantus noticed Gregory's unliving nature.
1. The first time wizard came to his small hometown he was ecstatic. The little gnome did all kinds of illusions and then taught the children a bit about magic. Jacob was the only one who seemed to actually understand what he was saying and told him about the school of magic he went to. That is the same school he ran away to as well.
2. His first encounter with a wild undead. One with no master. Jacob has been to Foxglove Manor a few times for it is considered haunted. Where there is ghosts there might be undead. And he was right. He found a zombie trapped at the bottom of a well. He managed to get it out with rope and watched it with fascination. It of course tried to eat him but it was easy to out pace. He eventually trapped it in a shallow pit and used it for experiments for a while. Eventually he learned to bind it to his will to test the connection and its understanding of commands. When he was done he destroyed it to make his own.
3. The creation of Gregory. A long an grueling process, both before and after. Figuring out how to raise the dead on your own was hard enough but eventually Nethys took pity and subtly moved him in the right direction until he succeeded, giving him his own corpse companion. Then came the hard part of making it look alive-ish. But when it was complete, known were any the wiser.

Here's the ten minute background for my submission, Eirian Dilys
- • Eirian Dilys is a young Kitsune female who spends most of her time in her human form. In human form, Eirian appears to be a woman of shorter stature, with silver hair which is kept in a simple pony tail formed out of a top knot. Her hair reaches down to her mid-back when done up this way. Eieian prefers a traditional outfit which is often worn in tamashigo shrines consisting of a long sleeved white top and red knee-length shorts, she does not wear shoes, preferring to feel the earth below her.
- • In her Kitsune form, Eirian's majestic silver hair is replaced with a coat of fur which glistens in the sunlight like snow in the dead of winter. Her eyes blue as the ocean made up of the melted glaciers. Her face is that of a fox, with a powerful jaw and sharp canine teeth.
- • Eirian was born near Sandpoint, her family having migrated from Tien-sha well before her birth, and being part of the community since the founding of Sandpoint. However, her family was more steeped in the traditions of the land that they had left behind then many were in the area, ultimately constructing a shrine to the spirits and closely associating with the nomadic Shoanti peoples more then the Chelish or the Varisians. Although Eirian's family did not move around as much as the Shoanti people, they would often have Shoanti visitors who would pray at their shrine since their beliefs were similar.
- • Eirian is the youngest of her family, having two older siblings, a brother and a sister, as well as both of her parents. Due to this, not much responsibility was placed on the young kitsune, as she would neither inherit the shrine nor be expected to take care of her parents when they got older. As a result, Eirian would often spend more time in Sandpoint then either of her siblings, learning about the city's people when she could, and playing along side them since a young age. She became particularly close friends with Ameiko, who she looked up to like an older sister.
- • Eirian is a fairly complex young woman, often being playful, but also quite often serious. She often talks about the spirits of the land and prays to the spirits rather then to specific deities. She embraces the life of a shaman and brings the blessings of nature to anyone who deserves them.
STEP 2: GOALS
- • Eirian wishes to explore the world so that she can better understand the spirits which inhabit everything around us, perhaps even one day returning to her family's home land to visit the shrines of her people.
- • My goal for Eirian is to complete Jade Regent, as a competent fighter and healer who shares a connection with the land and has a mighty beast by her side.
STEP 3: SECRETS
- • Unknown: Eirian is not in fact related to her family at all, although her family is indeed Kitsune, Eirian was brought to the family's shrine one day by a group of Shoanti.
- • Although unbeknownst to her, Eirian has developed feelings for Ameiko Kaijitsu, feelings that she cannot explain nor begin to understand.
- • Unknown: Eirian has a twin brother.
STEP 4: PEOPLE
- • Melaina, Eirian's older sister does not get along well with Eirian, perhaps this is due to the color of Eirian's fur, or perhaps as an extension of self hatred due to Melaina being a dark-furred voidkin Kitsune. Melaina however is the oldest child of the family and has little to worry about as far as Eirian actually posing any threat to her inheritance. Melaina has five tails in her kitsune form.
- • Heddwyn, Eirian's older brother, and fraternal twin to Melaina, cares deeply for his younger sister, and looks much more like her then his twin, being a light-furred voidkin Kitsune himself. Heddwyn has three tails in his kitsune form.
- • Tanwen Anwyl, Eirian occassionally played with Tanwen Anwyl when she was younger, spending some time on the human girl's farm, however the two had a disagreement a few years ago when Tanwen kissed the young kitsune and tried to recruit her to work at the Pixie's Kitten. Eirian does not know weather Tanwen had feelings for the young kitsune or not but the whole event kind of turned her off of the idea of romance and further pushed Eirian's feelings for Ameiko deeper into the recesses of her heart.
- • Name Unknown, Eirian's twin brother, also a white-furred voidkin Kitsune is aware of her existance, though she cannot say the same. He keeps tabs on her, and knows of their relation, but the two have never come face to face.
STEP 5: MEMORIES
- • One day, as the temple was preparing for a festival, Melaina, Heddwyn, and Eirian were cleaning up around the shrine. Eirian was younger at the time, around the age of seven, and her siblings were both fourteen. Although they often spent time in their Kitsune forms around the temple, all three of the siblings were in their human forms as they cleaned up and their parents were out shopping. Melaina had been left in charge since she was the oldest, though Eirian would rather Heddwyn had been left in charge. Melaina and Heddwyn were focused mainly on cleaning inside of the shrine, while Eirian was left to sweep outside. It was a cold winter day, but still Eirian appreciated the sun shining down on her, bathing the area in a rich yellow hue.
As Eirian was sweeping, she began to notice a group of 3 tall of humans approaching the shrine, this was something that happened occasionally, the Shoanti had come to visit Eirian thought, but as they began to come closer, they changed into beasts. Eirian did not understand what was happening, and she called for help as what appeared to be wolves rushed towards the shrine. Within a few seconds, the creatures would be upon her she feared, but her siblings had heard her screaming and rushed out to find Eirian in kitsune form crying and three wolves looking at each other in confusion. "Do not be afraid little one." One of the wolves spoke, but still Eirian continued to cry.
"YOU IDIOT!" Melaina yelled at her younger sister, but Heddwyn held out his hand to stop his twin, and one of the wolves stepped up, licking Eirian on the face, causing the kit to stop crying and look up at the wolves.
"They are friends Eirian, it's ok, they know our parents." Heddwyn explained, placing his hand on the small girl's shoulder as the wolves transformed back into humans.
"We're sorry, we just thought you might want to play a little, it looks like all of you have been working to hard." The tallest of the men spoke, pausing before adding, "We didn't mean to scare you." And that was how Eirian first met the Shoanti werewolves.
- • At the age of 10, as Eirian's siblings were growing more into the tasks they would inherit as keepers of the temple, Eirian became less involved in the day to day activities of the shrine. Eirian would often spend more time in Sandpoint, and that is where she met one of the local nobles, Ameiko Kaijitsu. When Eirian first saw Ameiko, she was astonished by the young tien girl's regalness and beauty, however, Eirian felt unworthy of approaching Ameiko. One day, as Eirian was wandering around Sandpoint in her human form, as she often did, Eirian felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, she was surprised to see Ameiko Kaijitsu standing before her. Before Eirian had a chance to react, Ameiko posed her a question, "Do you want to play a game?" Eirian could not find the courage to respond, but she did manage to nod her head.
Ameiko smiled and took Eirian's hand, leading her off somewhere before Eirian even had a chance to ask what they were going to play. Before long, Eirian found herself in front of a mansion, Kaijitsu mansion. Ameiko quickly brought Eirian to her room and pulled out a board and several small pieces. "I don't have very many friends who know how to play this game, but I thought that you might." Placing the pieces in place on the board, Ameiko began to explain. "This is Shogi, a game from my ancestral homeland, and if I had to guess by the way you dress, yours as well, do you know how to play?" Eirian nodded but still didn't respond in a verbal manner. Ameiko smiled and the two began to play. Before long, Eirian felt comfortable, realizing that Ameiko was not much different from herself and the two eventually became good friends.
- • A few years ago, Eirian had been called out by Tanwen Anwyl. Eirian had known Tanwen for many years, just a bit longer then Ameiko actually. Although she had known Tanwen longer, Eirian felt more comfortable around Ameiko. Still, Eirian had no reason to distrust Tanwen, nor a reason to avoid her, and thus the two young women met up. At this point in time, Tanwen had just begun working at The Pixie's Kitten, and she had invited Eirian out to dinner. Eirian agreed to dinner, but decided she didn't want to visit The Rusty Dragon, so the two went to The White Deer.
The food was marvelous, and what little talk their was revolved around how much Tanwen was enjoying her job, though Eirian did not feel very comfortable when Tanwen went into details describing the things customers paid her to do, still however, Tanwen was her friend, so she tried not to seem too disinterested. As the two finished eating, Tanwen picked up the bill, insisting that she was the one who had asked Eirian to come she would be the one to pay for their food, and Eirian nodded, having no problem with this suggestion, after all she was not paid very much for helping out at the shrine.
"It's getting pretty late, perhaps we should get a room." Tanwen suggested as they got up from the table. It had been awhile since Eirian had stayed up all night talking to someone, so she agreed. Once the two were along in the room, they took a bath together before doing each other's hair and lying down to go to sleep. Then, without warning, Tanwen kissed Eirian. Caught by surprise, Eirian pulled away. "You know, perhaps you should apply at The Pixie's Kitten, I know you'd be popular." Tanwen said with a smile, trying to move in closer to Eirian. But Eirian pushed Tanwen away.
"I'm not interested in that kind of thing." Eirian said softly, before adding, "And I would appreciate it if you gave me a little room, I'm not one of your customers." Tanwen frowned, but nodded to indicate her understanding as she turned away and moved to the other side of the bed. That was the last time Eirian talked to Tanwen.
Eirian is a Kitsune Eldritch Guardian (Fighter) / Jiuweihu (Shaman) of Nature 1 and I expect her to be able to fill the following roles: Melee combatant, divine spellcaster, healer (to some extent), stealth (her familiar is more capable in this regard)pet combatant (Eldritch guardian shares all combat feats with the familiar), and support.
Possible Caravan roles: Driver, Fortune-teller, Guard, Healer, Hero, Scout, Spellcaster, or Trader.

@Dylos: Why did Eirian's family move out of the Tien area if they preferred the traditions of their homeland, and what brought them to settle in Sandpoint? Also, why stick with obviously foreign garb that would brand them as obvious outsiders, which can be rough in smaller towns? Hah, connections to another one of your characters - interesting choice. XD Though you should know this campaign assumes the events of RotRL have been completed. Did the Shoanti know that Eirian was a kitsune? Circumstantial evidence suggests yes, though that's not the kind of thing most fox-folk outside Tien would want spread around.

Eirian's family left Tien despite preferring their traditional religious beliefs because of the way which certain Kitsune are treated, namely the voidkin Kitsune which are seen either as a blessing (much like an Aasimar in Mendev) or a curse (like a tiefling in Cheliax), her ancestors did not like this and migrated westward. They settled near sandpoint due to the variety of humans there, it seemed they would be less judged, atleast in human form.
As far as the obvious foreign garb, I suppose she wouldn't have to wear it all the time, especially since she would be likely to wear armor, but it seemed appropriate for the flavor of the character.
I understand the assumption that jade regent makes concerning rise of the runelords, but it's not like I'm saying that Tanwen is one of sandpoint's heroes in Eirian's story, just that she exists, or did exist when she last saw her a few years ago.
The Shoanti did know that Eirian is Kitsune, as she was likely in Kitsune form when they discovered her in the first place. They also knew the family were Kitsune, and that's why they left her with the family. Likely sandpoint citizens do not know though there may be rumors.

Here is an updated 10 Minute for Hisoka.
Hisoka appears as a human youth. He stands at about 5' 8" and weighs roughly 150 lbs, his build is strong and lithe. Shoulder length black hair is often tied into a knot or ponytail. His bright blue eyes are his most prominent feature from his Aasimar linaege, and often seem to glow, but the truth of it is, they merely reflect light. He favors light clothing with the most freedom of movement, often a black kimono. Though in battle, he will wear armor. On the lighter side due to his near supernatural reflexes.
Hisoka's childhood was wrought with chaos and death, having lived without knowing any of his family he has come to rely greatly on his training for survival and takes it quite seriously.
Despite his history, Hisoka has a soft side. It shows mostly when he is dealing with women and children, and as such strives for some amount of chivalry.
His honor as a samurai and as an individual is of great value to him, and frequently judges himself with the highest standards. Which may lead sometimes to moments of self-doubt and depression should he fail to meet them.
As Ronin, Hisoka serves the ideals Master Satoshi preached and trained him for. To protect the innocent, nurture the young and to live honestly and honorably. He does not actively seek a new master, still feeling the shame of his last failure and likely never will as the independent lifestyle he has led thus far suits him well enough.
During his time in Sandpoint, he would look forward to seeing Shalelu Andosana during her visits and would often attempt to impress her in various ways, ranging from flowers, kind words or in one particular case, a poem.
Though Ronin, Hisoka aims to become a widely renowned Samurai, and a general role model for the youths he encounters on his journey, as well as a skilled swordsman. Seeing his influence on the young, when positive is one of his greatest joys. He will follow the teachings of Master Satoshi, offering protection and guidance to those in need.
He has a fascination with his own lineage, and whenever circumstance provides, he aims to learn as much as possible about who he is and where he comes from.
I myself would like to explore the possibility of discovering a living celestial relative, that secretly has been keeping tabs on Hisoka throughout his life.
When he was young, early in his training he rebelled against his master to pursue known slavers in the area that were at the moment, active. This resulted in the death of his master as he came to save Hisoka, and he has yet to truly come to terms regarding this failure. Though Hisoka managed to save himself and those that were enslaved through luck and rage inspired determination.
Should the possibility of a living celestial relative be workable, this would also be a secret unknown even to Hisoka.
Master Ryuu Satoshi, Hisoka's master and only father figure. He lived a modest life in a small hut outside the city and was adept at woodcarving, though he was originally from Tian Xia, some trouble led to his relocation to Sandpoint. He never spoke much of his days there, only childhood stories. One of his carvings, that of a wolf on the run, Hisoka keeps on his person.
Shalelu Andosana, though not very many opportunities to get close to her have presented themselves, Hisoka revels in the chance to earn even a passing glance, or a small smile from the elven woman when they do.
Jiro Masato, a human male youth that Hisoka once bested in training. Since then, Jiro has shown nothing but dislike and often times hostility toward Hisoka though nothing to date has been too over the top. Mostly childish pranks, some may have resulted in minor injury.
Hisoka remembers little of his early childhood, before Master Satoshi took him in. All he can remember was that he was lost when the younger Master found him in the rain and brought him home. It is his most cherished memory as that is when he was truly born into the life he now leads.
He can recall perfectly the first time he met Shalelu, and the first time she graced him with a smile. Such a simple thing as this has often given him the determination to push through the troubles of his past and those of every day life.
The discovery of his innate magical talent became apparent on a series of hunting trips, where his unnatural reflexes avoided several traps and other unexpected things that could have resulted in severe injury or even death. His first spell allowed him to start a campfire despite the heavy wind and imminent rain.

Here is my updated 10 minutes background
- • Eirian Dilys is a young Kitsune female who spends most of her time in her human form. In human form, Eirian appears to be a woman of shorter stature, with silver hair which is kept in a simple pony tail formed out of a top knot. Her hair reaches down to her mid-back when done up this way. Eirian prefers a traditional outfit which is often worn in tamashigo shrines consisting of a long sleeved white top and red knee-length shorts, she does not wear shoes, preferring to feel the earth below her. Eirian rarely wears her temple garb outside of the temple grounds however and is often seen in simple clothing.
The Shoanti knew that Eirian's family was different, knowing they were Kitsune even before the young woman's birth.
- • Eirian's family left Tien despite preferring their traditional religious beliefs because of the way which certain Kitsune are treated, namely the voidkin Kitsune which are seen either as a blessing (much like an Aasimar in Mendev) or a curse (like a tiefling in Cheliax), her ancestors did not like this and migrated westward. They settled near sandpoint due to the variety of humans there, it seemed they would be less judged, atleast in human form.

Elements
1. Shutai's name literally means 'Abomination'. It is what her own people decided to call her and out of a sense of stubbornness, price and resentment she now revels in the title.
2. Shutai almost always wears a mask because she doesn't feel like her face is her own. She doesn't really understand why this is. The only times she tends to remove it are during religious observance to Arseha and in combat, when she switches to her Vulpine form to fight.
3. Due to the circumstances that tainted her, Shutai has only the foggiest memories of her old life. She loosely remembers her two siblings and her parents, but not much else.
4. Normally Shutai appears as a shortish woman with waist length black hair tied in a braid and dark skin. Notably she almost always wears a mask of some kind, but a heart shaped face and dark green eyes can be made out behind the mask. Heavy silver tattoos cover much of her body in a ritual Varisian style, including a stylized fox on one shoulder. Shutai's body is odd, too - although more musucular than one might expect it's strangely thin.
In her Vulpine form her body is more obviously muscled, with a long snout that few would mistake for wold. Her dark fur is covered in the same silver marks as her human form and her nose, ears, paws and tail are all tiped in silver.
5. Shutai has heavy scars on her wrists from an apparent suicide attempt, although she isn't sure on the specifics.
6. Shutai is a mass of contradictions, thanks to her unusual background. Both a close range fighter and a spellcaster, both an arcane and divine caster, both a healer and a blood-thirst creature. She tries to rectify these contrary traits as best she can, but it does create a certain level on internal confusion.
Goals
1. Her main goal is to prove that the taint has not left her evil. Having left Xian Tia years ago, she still feels the bite and sting of the people's scorn and fear at realizing she was Nogitsune touched. She wants to prove how wrong that was. That even with her now tainted blood and the instincts it creates she is a good person.
Given the harsh reactions of those who realized she had the Nogitsune taint were most from Tian Xia, she dreams of travelling back and proving them wrong by showing them she is a hero.
2. Shutai's secondary goal is to remember exactly what happened to her, why she is the way she is and how she became what she is. The answers all lie in her homeland.
Secrets
1. Shutai is transgender, although currently unaware of this on conscious level. It was a depression brought about by her desire for a true body, along with her parents ridicule, that drove her to attempt suicide. Her brother Egao used his own skills to change her into a more suitable body, binding a Nogitsune to help him, but the ritual was interrupted by there father. As Egao and her father fought the ritual went wrong, and Shutai was changed in more ways than expected. Shutai wandered off in the aftermath, confused by her lost memories and changed form, and no one stopped her as no one recognized her.
It was this which led to her Nogitsune Blood, her comfort in Arshea and her feeling like her face isn't her own.
2. Although she refuses to admit it to anyone, Shutai can feel the Oni in her blood. She is always hungry, regardless of how much she has eaten, and takes a perverse glee in destruction and carnage. Blood will even make her mouth water. She hates these attributes and works to overcome them.
3. Shutai's real name is Mori.
People
1. Egao - Her barely remembered brother. He used his abilities to bind a Nogitsune to help his sister. Shutai has no idea where he is now.
2. Koya Mvashti - Koya saved Shutai from a Goblin raid on her caravan, and healed the worst of her wounds. In return Shutai has stayed with her, learning her craft and becoming a dedicated helper, despite her quirks.
3. Gyn - Shutai's familiar and the tattoo on one shoulder blade. It takes the form of a silver-furred fox.
4. Raito - Shutai's father. He was an unpleasant man who didn't find any of his three children measured up to his standard. Although most of his bile was reseved for Egao it was his mockery and abuse that drove Shutai to attempt suicide. He is still bitter that all three of his children has now abandoned him.
Memories
1. Shutai's first clear memory is waking up in a cave, surrounded by strange circles, feeling voraciously hungry. She wandered into a nearby village and overheard that a local merchant and his son had gotten into a full scaled magical fight, resulting in the son fleeing and another son missing. Shutai failed to realize her own involvement and left after buying supplies with what little cash she had.
2. The first time she heard the term 'Nogitsune' was when she changed into her Vulpine form to defend herself. Another Kitsune saw the strange marks in her fur and yelled it at her, causing a small riot to ensuein the bar. "Nogitsune! Shutai! Oni!" The screams lingered long after she had fled. It was not the last time she heard any of those words.
3. The feeling of Koya's hand just before she died. The caravan out of Magnimar was burning, the Goblins had finally fled. Suddenly a woman held her hand, Shutai assumed for comfort in her final moments, when she felt a healing power wash over her. "My name is Koya," the woman announce with a small smile, "And you will be fine."
Role
The character is meant to fill a variety of rolls. Capable of casting both full divine and arcane spells, picking locks and disabling traps as a rogue and three natural attacks means she can do a little of everything. However, inability to wear heavier armour thanks to being a Sorcerer and relatively low hits points make her something of a glass cannon.
