If this is correct then I shall be able to contribute, but then that would follow the same light of allowing the Paladin to smite and harm it.

GM Redelia |

Sundukan, your physical damage cannot harm it, but you can do an attack on it when it's your turn. No physical damage, but instead of healing someone, you can choose to do the healing to the haunt as damage.
The paladin smite won't do anything, but he could use lay on hands to hurt it.

Khere |

Was debating on whether to use lay on hands but I was afraid we get into a jam and we need that lay on hands fast. But seems that I don't need to worry about it then since we defeated the haunt.
I made a haunt once that you could only defeat by getting past a swinging blade trap by solving a riddle. Think of the scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where he has to go three trials to find the Holy Grail.

GM Redelia |

One thing I'm still working on figuring out is if Path of War healing should damage rather than help a dhampir. Cure spells and lay on hands would, but I can't find anything in Path of War as to whether that healing also works by positive energy, or in some other way. It's better to discuss this now rather than later when it comes up in the game.

Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen |

It was exactly why I was all for either choice. if it does heal as positive, our Dhampir friend may be in trouble, but if it is instead non-connected healing it should apply but not to enemies (Though to be fair the effect does not apply to enemies in the first place. The rule with the haunt likely was for convenience sake. )

Re healing: This help?
Re marching order: Talon and I were at the front previously for traps etc. Happy to take front.

Jibril Carver |

Hi - flying back home tonight, end of vacation (unfortunately). Should pick up regular pace again from Wednesday, UK time.

Braydir Thornak |

Hey gang I'm headed off to a work conference for a week, I'll be back late next week. If I get in the way and hold things up please GMPC me Redelia.

Khere |

Watching the Mummy's Return. I think our adventure is more fun. :)

Khere |

Since Khere is the tank of the group, I think it would be best for him to be at the front of the group.

Khere |

That works.

Sundakan |

So, two things real quick.
1.) Why is Jeggare at the back of the group? I thought we had figured marching order out to me being second rank. Unless that was a different game?
2.) Did I miss something special we were doing for how much HP we get per level? I'm trying to figure out how Jibril and I have the same number of HP.

GM Redelia |

Everyone got max HP for level 1. For level 2, existing players rolled for HP. If they rolled low, they got (1/2 damage die) +1 + CON
In terms of how you ended up in the back, if I move you guys because you don't move yourselves, I don't always remember all the details. What I most worry about is keeping the squishy safe and putting the trap spotters up front. I think Jibril is rebuilding to ranged fighting, which will change things quite a bit.

Jibril Carver |

Ah. So Jibril rolled really well for level 2?
Yes, 9 on a D10.
Just btw, sorry about lack of posting, I've been having some correspondence with the GM as the original brief for Jibril doesn't really fit with the new party mix; I will have a rebuild done this week.

Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen |

What are you changing him to? Considering we already have alot of ranged, that didnt seem to make much sense. And to my knowledge you are the only TWFer...

Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen |

Technically Magic would count as ranged but more to the point, there are very few types of range. That is the reason I have pointed it out. There is Magic, Throwing and Bow. Hajar is Magic and Throwing. Morharis is Basically Bow. Malik casts Spells.
Not discouraging him but making it clear there might not be desire results, especially when people were drafted for that role.

Jibril Carver |

I think you just rolled a 1 on your not-discouraging check. GM I'll PM you.

Khere |

Wow! Surprised that we didn't find any treasure after those fights!
Oh before I forget Khere will be taking the bones of those skeletons we defeated in order to give them a proper burial. He is a paladin of Anubis, and I'm judging that followers of Anubis believe that some undead are the result of the departed not being given proper burials (other undead like liches and vampires are the result of people's fear of death and lust for immortality, and thus must be punished for their vile greed and disregard for the laws of life and death). They'll still be given a proper burial as well but only after these foul beings are cleansed of their evil. Holy water is used often.
I hope youre okay with me adding some background info on the beliefs of the worship of Anubis, gm.

A really cool fact that the adventure provides only to the GM, which Khere might care to read:

Sweet! Score one for the paladin of the deity of the dead.

GM Redelia |

Khere, I'm not normally much of a stickler about encumbrance, but you should probably keep an eye on the weight of all these skeletons you're carrying around. I'm going to declare that each dried out old skeleton weights 10 lb. That's the nice round number at the lower end of the ranges I'm finding when I look around on the internet.

Khere |

Oh...hm...forgot about that. Dang. This might encumber him a good bit I'm afraid. I'm just hoping we find a bag of holding in these ruins.

Khere |

I'll need to tell y'all something important. It'll only affect my posting for about 9 days but I'll tell you more tomorrow.

Khere |

I hope I didn't scare anyone. No I'm not leaving (I'm having way too much fun with y'all in this adventure!).
So I've been looking for a new job (I still have a job, just trying to find one that pays a bit more and is closer to home), and I've been doing it on my iPhone. The problem is that I forgot to take into account that I'm on my parents' data plan and I forgot to keep an eye on how much data I was using. Long story short, I used up a lot of data. So, we have 8 days left in the billing cycle before our data usage resets.
While this will reduce my posting rate a bit, I'm going to try and keep on posting on my laptop before and after work if possible. I just wanted to let everyone know about this and I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen |

Its S'alright, i had Tournament stuff and internet jobt hings to deal with too it got less busy though.

Khere |

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news everyone, but my iPhone is acting up, so I'm trying to get it fixed (could be a software issue, or worse the battery is messed up). This will impact my posting rate some, but I'll still try and post as often as I can from my laptop before work.
So, keep y'all's fingers crossed. And I apologize about this. I'm concerned that my phone got messed up during the hurricane when I had numerous power surges prior to losing power when Matthews came through.
Okay....
Crisis averted! After looking online, I found that sometimes if you let your iPhone's battery drain to 0% (which you're supposed to do occasionally), the battery may not have enough juice to charge back up. According to what I found online, simply using a blow dryer to warm the phone up enough for say 5-10 minutes and then immediately plug your iphone into a charger, the iPhone starts right back up. Phew! Glad that's over.

My god, this internet wont even load the pages correctly. I'm sorry for the absence, the first three days was distraction but after that it seems like between any other work and the paizo, it wont load things concurrently. At first I thought it was my computer but then my other roommates have been seeing the same thing and hopping between campus internet and ours requires alot of work and isnt dependable.
Either way I'm back its just I will have to be more forced to either do this or video work at one time which Im fine with until the internet gets better.

Khere |

Take your time. No need to rush.

Khere |

Where everyone go? :(

GM Redelia |

I'm back. An elderly family member was diagnosed with cancer that cannot be treated, a few weeks to live. My posting may be a little spotty, and I may disappear again, but I'm here for now. I know you guys are waiting for me to post the next room. I'll do that in a little while, this is just a heads-up that we're starting back up. Thanks a lot guys for your patience.

Khere |

I'm sorry to hear that. And take your time. And just so you know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen |

Im sorry my internet had gone out among other terrible things and my phone had lost its charger, as such I had not been able to do much of anything until it got fixed. It has recently done so, and as such Im catching up to all the games that I have been in . I'm sorry for the sudden disappearance as you can see I had no control over it. Everything should be fine now. The catch up is real.
As for your situation GM, I can only give my condolences as one can never fully know the effect such sad news has on a family without being there or part of it.

Khere |

I'll probably try and post tomorrow. Got called into work today and then had to cover for the closer, so I'm tired tonight.

Khere |

Sorry I haven't posted. Been busy with work and the holidays. Again I apologize about that.
