Braydir Thornak |

Hey gang!
Braydir is an inquisitor of Cayden Cailean who abhors slavery and promotes freedom. While his clan raised him the faith of Torag he converted to Cayden after an experience where his clan turned their backs on a slavery incident. He's known to accept all manor of drinks and challenges (usually to his own detriment). He's generally good natured and friendly except in times where principles of bravery or freedom are threatened which pulls him into a bit more of a hardass.
The player's guide basically says we're familiar with each other before we head into adventure so I think it makes sense for at least some of us to have some history together. I'm down for a few of use being in a previous adventure group together. Maybe all of us were, maybe we were two groups that merged, or whatever people are interested in. Because of the suggested previous history, I'd like to tie my background to at least one or two others in the group minimally.

Okay Dagori is a well kept Gnoll with an obvious limp and with some well kept equipment, and a pack horse. He is kind and loving, very generous. He doesn't have much extra gold simply because he gave it to any poor he found.
Dagori would likely have been met standing outside a bar or inside buying everyone drinks, even though he doesn't drink himself.
He my take what you say wrong, but he can infact understand you.

Talon Silverhawk |

Caw! Talon here. Rogue extraordinaire. Redemed by the temple of Cayden Cailean and now recovering artifacts for different good temples. Leave the traps to me :)

Dakash Without Past |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Hey friends! Congrats on getting in :D
Dakash is a whispy female Samsaran, dressed in practical khaki clothing that accentuates the pale blue of her skin. Unlike a lot of Samsarans, Dakash is in a constant sense of wonder at the world around her. Given that she has difficulties remembering her past lives, she is quick to laugh at jokes because she is generally hearing them for the first time. Dakash would describe herself as studious, but she's taken to flights of fancy and often will find herself getting distracted by grand dreams or little things going on around her.
Happy to tie her in anyway that's possible.

GM Redelia |

You guys are welcome to make minor changes to your characters' crunch to coordinate, if you wish. For example, if the bard and the rogue talk, they may find that they want to swap their skills around to make sure everything important is covered. Same with spells for anyone who can cast.

Braydir Thornak |

Sooooo Talon and Braydir have an easy connection through Cayden Cailean and Dagori bought them drinks one day and easily won them over :)

Dakash Without Past |

Haha, well for ease, let's say Dakash spotted Talon walking into a bars month ago and having never met a tengu before, she boldly walked up and started asking him questions about his family, hobbies, favourite animal, relations to non-humanoid birds, thoughts on the afterlife, allergies, favourite childhood memory, and just about anything else several rounds of drink would cover :P

Malik Adraza |

Malik is indeed a human Sorcerer. He was raised with a strong education from tutors, but was given less exposure to the outside world than he should have been. His tutors believed him to have a lineage tracing back to the original Pharaohs and so their treatment of him led to him developing a bit too much pride. He can also be abrupt or surly when not putting on his diplomatic face (he can quickly shift in mood even need be, as one trained in such skills is wont to do). Despite all this he's a caring guy who quickly bonds to people and treasures those bonds. Plus he is a strong believer in justice and seeing it done. He has a big soft spot for books and dusty old tomes.
I should probably give my equipment and spells a look over before we start playing.

Braydir Thornak |

Hey if you're buying rounds at the bar, Braydir is your best friend and will gladly talk your ear off if you let the conversation fall to silence.

Khere |

Sorry y'all for not posting here yet! Busy today with errands and chores plus paizo decided to act up some earlier.
Nice to meet all of you! This is one of my favorite APs and I am a huge fan of Ancient Egyptian history and mythology.
Khere is dressed like most Osirians although he'll be easy to spot what with his unusual appearance. If y'all feel like I should change his appearance some let me know!
Also and this is a fun fact here: Khere is a bit awestruck by foreign women! You can guess that growing up on a farm and being a commoner turned paladin will do that to you so you could say he's a naive local boy ;)
So he might try to flirt with a foreign looking NPC or he might treat Dakash like royalty. If y'all prefer to keep romance out of the party I'm okay with that. You can blame Salvatore and Jordan on the romance in an adventuring party.
Sorry if I'm rambling on. Just excited that's all.

GM Redelia |

You guys also need to choose a name for your tomb exploration team.
Bonus items: Your party gets the following items:
1 wand of magic missile
3 wands of cure light wounds
2 cracked indigo ioun stones (these are a custom item, and give +2 to any one skill of your choice, may be changed daily)
This is a one-time gift. I hope it's obvious which item is intended for each of you :) Level 1 can just be so painful, and these items are intended to help.

Khere |

Sweet! Thank you GM!
As for the name of our group...
I got a few ideas.
The Jackal's Seekers
The Jackal's Guardians
Divine Jackals
Lore Seekers
The Mithral Lions
The Mithral Jackals
The Mithral Hounds
The Iron Sages
The Questing Lions
Okay that's enough from me.

Braydir Thornak |

The player's guide also adds:
• The Brave Raiders
• The Circle of the Final Rest
• The Crocodile’s Teeth
• The Dust Diggers
• The Five Blades Company
• The Golden Devils
• Jesper’s Jackals
• The Night Whispers
• The Ring of Daggers
• The Steel Spiders

Khere |

Here are some other suggestions:
The Mithral or Silver Cheetahs
The Ivory Leopards
The Cheetah's Seekers
The Ivory Seekers
The Azure Warriors
The Azure Lions

Khere |

2 ioun stones.
And what do y'all think of my character's appearance? Do you think it might be too much or is it okay to leave it like it is?
Also what do the rest of you think of romance between PCs? Are you comfortable with it or would you prefer it be left out?

Khere |

I think the ioun stones are cool. I like them.

Khere |

Let's hope that this isn't like in the Temple of Elemental Evil computer game where if your paladin drinks alcohol he's broken his code of conduct and becomes an ex-paladin!
Also The Seekers sounds good to me.

Braydir Thornak |

I was partial to Seekers as well (Drinkung buddies was a close second).
Ioun stones is a generous gift GM! We shall put them to good use between our drunken revelry and seeking.

![]() |

Also what do the rest of you think of romance between PCs? Are you comfortable with it or would you prefer it be left out?
I don't mind, but Dagori is one of those people who don't indulge in such petty human indulgences.
By the way, gnoll are listed as "strictly carnivorous". So even though I can use herbs and such, I can't survive off of veggies.

Dakash Without Past |

Well, I'd be happy to endorse the seekers, and have Dakash repeatedly suggest that the other name was better.
And the ioun stone seems good, I'm happy with it.
EDIT: I'm indifferent with PC romance. I've never really had it come up before.

GM Redelia |

OK, guys, I'm hoping we can be ready to start the adventure by the end of the weekend. Can you guys please make sure to include the bonus item in your online character sheet?
How do you guys feel about maps?
Also, because of the PBP format, I'm going to assume that all characters take 10 on perception for traps. If you're looking more carefully, you need to let me know.
Are you OK with me rolling your saves for you to keep the game moving more quickly?

Talon Silverhawk |

I do have trap sense so i get a bonus and my spidey sense tingles when they are close. Also i like maps. Its easier to plan things out and see whats going on.
I raise a cold one to the Seekers! My own drinking buddies.

Braydir Thornak |

I find googlemaps works great for combat, otherwise theater of the mind works for other places just great.
I snatched a CLW wand.
The Seekers!

Malik Adraza |

Guessing the magic missile wand is for me to contribute more in combat at early levels?
I like maps, but am not a fan if I have to go to roll20 to see them. :P

Khere |

Yeah google maps might be better. My iPhone hates roll20. Also I'm good with the Seekers.
I think we are missing survival but my aasimar gets a +2 to survival so I'll take one of the ioun stones if that's okay with everyone. That'll help us out some.
And I'll try and set up my stats and skills up sometime before work tomorrow.
Right now it's nighttime where I live. I live in South Carolina so I'm heading to bed that way I can get up early and head to work to use the wifi before I clock in (I work at a bookstore).

GM Redelia |

Guessing the magic missile wand is for me to contribute more in combat at early levels?
Yep, the magic missile wand is for you to have an option every round, instead of having to hoard your spells as badly. Even with bloodline powers, level 1 sorcerers never have enough they can do.
The ioun stones are intended for the skill monkeys, so they can between the two of them make sure everything is covered that isn't natural to some other class. (By the way, I would strongly suggest that both keep trapfinding maxed out.)
The three cure wounds are intended for the three characters who can use them. That way no one has to use up spell slots for healing; spell slots are very precious at level 1. Also, good for attacks on undead. I'm house ruling that for attacks on undead, you can choose to use the wand as touch (by the book) or as a ranged touch attack.

Khere |

Ah I didn't notice that Braydir. Thank you for pointing that out to me. Sorry about that.
And yeah the ioun stones might be better for the rogue and archaeologist. I'll take one of the cure light wounds wands. I might tone down my character's appearance some since it might be a bit too much. And now done. I made him having silver fur now, so he shouldn't stick out too much.
And I got my stats and skills up so I'm good to go. I'm at work, but I'll try and post as soon as possible during my break or after work tonight around 9 pm est if we start the adventure today.
BTW, if y'all want we could ourselves the Silver Seekers or just leave it the Seekers, since it might be fun to have Khere serve as a our party's mascot if you will. It's up to y'all as I'm good with whatever you decide.

GM Redelia |

Talon, Malik, and Khere, please include your bonus item in your inventory in your profile.
Talon, I also need to know which skill you're applying your ioun stone to.
Dakash, is that +8 including the +2 from the stone, or not?
In addition to the standard stuff in your status bar, I need perception(traps) included for Talon and Dakash.
Can you tell me a little more about how the Silver Seekers formed and what your group's goals are? Why are you as a group participating in the lottery to investigate tombs?
(we're almost ready to start the adventure, guys. I will probably give you guys overnight to finish the group background and start the actual adventure tomorrow.)
