One fine boon of having Grok as your friend; she'll now let you into her store after normal hours, where you can negotiate for equipment (including your own, of course)with her via Diplomacy checks.

I think we should have one of our savvy members try and glean our destination from some of the more important members of the crew. Ben is itching to be on an "away team" we just have to remember to take along a member of the crew nobody has met yet so he can die first!

Correct in that you need one if you take two actions at night, but some day activities also require one due to the nature of the work. In such cases, I'll request it specifically.

Ben - I'd say you're fine requesting aid after the roll in this case; it's a common sense call, as you'd be able to motion for one of your pals to give you a hand as soon as you see that your performance may be sub-par. Also - Gregor, you could do so as well, requesting the aid of two blokes to carry some of the weight of your work. There will be a point, though, at which it would look like you're shirking.
