You guys arrive at the destination you see..
A thundering, hissing roar echoes along the trench here, as if from a cascade of water tumbling over a cliff. Yet this cascade is no normal waterfall—it is a wall of falling sand churning over the edge and dropping down into the trench below, turning the trench wall into a constantly churning wall of grit and dust. There is no apparent source of the sand above and no evidence of sand accumulating.
Tef-Naju explain the entrance was behind this waterfall of sand..
New map..

"Well, you don't see that every day."
"We probably should look for traps."
perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19
Khufu says as he watches a kangaroo rat hop off into the distance ...
Hemket
Hemket gives it a looksee for traps (though he suspects the whole damned thing is one).
perception: 1d20 + 29 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 29 + 6 = 36
nearly as captivated by the kangaroo rat, but saved by a lack of critical failures on skill checks.
GM Pox
Khufu spies a rat.. And that its hot as hell out here..
Hemket also notices the rat, but no traps to speak of..
Amarantha Van der Griest
page turn
Khufukhaf
Khufukhaf looks to Hemket and says "I'll check it out, if something attacks me, try shooting it."
Then the monolith walks up to the wall of shifting sand and sticks his hand into it.
GM Pox
Khufu sticks his hand into the sand and it stings and pushes his hand downwards with incredibe force.. You are thinking it would take consdierable effort to move thorugh it without being knocked down..
Additionally, before Khufu can explain his thoughts a very large fist comes slamming down on him through the sand.. It is gone before any response can be had.. Perc check from eveyone..

"Round 1"
Hemket is up.. Currently you see nothing to attack with the waterfall of sand..
GM Pox
Perc checks..
Hemket holds his action and before anyone else can act two fists come slamming down at Khufu from the sand.. Anyone that speaks Terran can hear something audible from through the sand.. Something to the effect of mighty earth mother grant me your epic power..
Attacks: 2d20 ⇒ (15, 11) = 26 both hit..
Dam: 8d6 + 66 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 6, 4, 6, 6, 3) + 66 = 101 plus you need a Fort save DC 32 or be stunned for Rounds: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Party is up.. Besides the brief glimpse when it attacked you see nothing but a waterfall of sand..
GM Pox
You saw it clearly when it attacked.. It looks very similiar to the rock guy statue you guys found in the chest, except its huge in size..
Know Planes for anyone over 20 perception..
You have the squares yes, but when you fire your arrows are deflected by the sand, not making it through.. Book gives it stats of Hurricane Force winds to move or shoot through it..

Ama hits Khuf with a Heal
Khufukhaf
As an immediate, Khufu spends a Mythic Point on Absorb Blow, stopping 20 points and upping his DR to 3 and granting 5 energy resistance vs Acid against the surprise round. (down 10)
Then the same thing during the first round, upping his DR to 4 and energy resistance to 10 vs acid. (down 77 more) (Currently at 81 of 168)
Fort Save: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40
"Ouch....."
move action to back up and wait for someone to heal me.
"Our enemy speaks Terran and is most likely a being of earth. The cascade of sand will shield it. After I stop bleeding, I would be interested to see what would happen it the sand was partially diverted by means of a magically conjured wall. "
GM Pox
Amarantha knows this is a elder earth elemental, although its something more.. Mythic probably. A 33 gets you 1 question..
Khufu you can't use immediate actions while flat-footed. It's just now your turn so moving forward you can do that. You are not stunned however.. So 134 damage minus normal DR..
GM Pox
Withdrawing will provoke as he has reach..
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 11 hit..
Dam: 4d6 + 33 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 5) + 33 = 52
Amarantha Van der Griest
Hmm..With all these beatsticks, I'll go with any special defenses
GM Pox
Elemental Immunities, DR 10/-..
Khufu staggers away from the onslaught..
Everyone but Khufu and Hemket can go..
You still have a standard action if you wanna quaff a potion or something else Khufu..
Amarantha Van der Griest
Ama will delay until mr sandman makes his apperance
Hadjii
Hadjii's Perception check: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (8) + 27 = 35
air-Hadjii will dip down to 70' altitude for a look, and use a Mythic Point to cast <Wall of Stone>: per the description, the wall can be used in pretty flexible ways -- the wall "can be used to bridge a chasm, for instance, or as a ramp". In this case, Hadjii is attempting to create an arch of stone to block the falling sand. Imagine the first 10-foot section of this <image of the archway leading into Cheyenne Mountain>...
...the intent is sand waterfall will be routed to the sides, and the elemental will be framed for a clear shot by Hemket.
Arduino the Lesser
Seeing Hadjii's plan, Arduino follows with his own wall to deflect the sand.
Wall of Stone similarly.
GM Pox
Working together Hadjii and Ard spring a pair of stone arches making a tunnel through the sandfall. Combining the spells the arch is 20' wide and completely blocks the sand, providing line of sight to the huge elemental..
Amarantha's delayed action can go off now..
Then Hemket is up for round 2..
Hemket
Hemket with study the elemental as a swift action, activate his boots of speed as a free, and start shooting.
deadly aim, rapid for 2 extra, clustered shot, studied target, haste

Amarantha Van der Griest
Ama will heal someone if that thing survived that onslaught
GM Pox
Khufu is at 9 hp if you want something to heal..
Hemket hits 3 times for good damage, however it still has plenty of rock left..
E -129
GM Pox
I'll assume Amarantha casts a heal spell on Khufu putting him to 139 hps..
On his turn the elemental huffs and puffs and charges into a trampling run.. He charges through Khufu, Hemket's and Hadjii's square..
Overrun: 1d20 ⇒ 15 beats all yalls cmds..
You each take.. Trample: 4d6 + 21 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 2) + 21 = 36 you are each knocked prone and one of you provokes an Aoo via Greater Overrun.. He smashes at the archer that just damaged him heavily..
Attack Hemket: 1d20 ⇒ 4 hit
Dam: 4d6 + 21 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 4) + 21 = 34 You see him expend some mythic power into the attack as well.. Hemket make a fort save DC 32 or be turned to stone..
Party is up!
Khufukhaf
I think this works because he's moving from the square in front of me that I threaten, into the square I occupy...
As the elemental charges into Khufu's square in his overrun attack, Khufu burns an immediate action to burn one point of mythic power and use Cage Enemy to stop its overrun.
Flail AoO: 1d20 + 19 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 19 + 4 = 36 (power attack, combat expertise/stalwart, ever ready)
damage: 1d10 + 29 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 29 + 4 = 43
GM Pox
Ill look into it more in the morning on if that works.. The first square of movement that he threatens would be the square that he tramples over yall.. I suppose you could keep him standing on top of yall lol.. Again I look at it more in the morn.
Khufukhaf
the movement from the square in front of me into my square provokes under Cage Enemy, so I think he never leaves that square and stops right in front of me.
Amarantha Van der Griest
Not wanting to become visible in front of a 40' tall piece of rock, Ama casts Blessing of Fervor
Hadjii
on Friday at 11:06pm,
air-Hadjii will dip down to 70' altitude for a look....
note that Hadjii was 70' up -- I believe he was probably not hit by the elementals's charge...
for his next trick, Hadjii will conjure an earth elemental of his own, using the last charge of his Rod o' Quicken Spell to cast his prepared Summon Nature's Ally VII as a swift action!
for his standard action, Hadhii will spend a Mythic Point to cast <Sunbeam>, directing a bolt only at the enemy elemental: DC 28 DX save from the bad-guy Elemental, please...
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 5) = 10 damage -- half if saving throw is successful

the Greater Earth elemental tries to punch the gargantuan one in the nuts a couple times (taking +2 from BoF):

thanks to my phenomenal dice rolls, the new elemental basically just stands there flagellating pathetically...

Hadjii will also drop 10' (to 60' altitude), and prepare to cast <Instant Restoration> on his summond creature as an immediate action, if needed...
Hadjii
forgot about earth elemental's <'Earth Mastery'>: does a 33 AC hit evil elemental? if so, 20 damage instead of 19...
GM Pox
With some sort of titanic effort Khufu is able to stop the charging elemental before he can overrun half the party memebers.. He does so by smacking it across the shin. Amarantha casts a buff spell, and Hadjii summons in reinforecements..
One of the elementals hits its target.. Only 10 damage though.

Ard is still up.
