Yes, hope you had a grand time!

![]() |

Ditto! :)

![]() |

Would any of you be willing to play #4-09 The Blakros Matrimony as part of Gameday VII? With these PCs or others?
Larry

![]() |

Sure! I'm assuming you're still looking at running higher tier? If so, Nina could come along or I could bring Nella, my 6th level cleric. Of course I've got a couple others in the 3-5 range too, but Nina and Nella are/will be my highest level characters :)

![]() |

I would love to, and it seems like the perfect scenario for Braggett to show off his new title (he'll be a real lord after this module thanks to vanities,) herald, and squire. However, I will be in the middle of a move and change of career path, so I will, unfortunately, have to bow out due to time constraints. Maybe next time. Have fun, y'all! :)

![]() |

That's the one we discussed earlier? Since Hanlin will be what.. 6th level after this?

![]() |

We'll miss you, Lord Braggett!
Yes, you will gain another level, and as many as two levels actually, if you choose full rewards on the special fourth Chronicle. I'll show it to all you of you first, so you can make an informed decision regarding that special Chronicle.
Doesn't seem fair to make you decide sight unseen.

![]() |

Are you looking at running during Session #1 or Session #2? I ask because I'm trying to figure out what my own commitment load will be for each one. Right now it's looking like I might need to cut back on player games in favor of doing my GMing, at least as far as Gameday is concerned. Definitely not a bad thing, just trying to make sure I don't overextend myself :)

![]() |

I'd like to start in Session #1, but what works for you?
I'm willing to wait.

![]() |

Session #1 works for me! I'm not GMing any specials this time and will probably only play Assault on Absalom.
I'll be running a couple of different tables across the entire Gameday plus my two long-term tables so one player game a session shouldn't be too difficult :)
On a different note, I'm out of pocket and limited to phone posting for a good part of today~

![]() |

Speaking of Gameday sessions, I wanted to make the following offer before I get my campaign pages set up and official recruitments posted in Flaxseed:
I'm planning to run #7-12 The Twisted Circle (Tier 1-5) in Session #1 and #4-03 The Golemworks Incident (Tier 5-9) during Session #2. For the Twisted Circle I'm planning on recruiting a table of vine leshies but Golemworks Incident will be a more standard affair. Both of these are 'creepy' scenarios and Golemworks Incident I would actually go a step further and rate as 'horror' due to some of the subject matter. Would anyone here be interested in either scenario, before I open them up to the general populace? I'd like to hold at least one spot at each table open for someone 'new' but otherwise any seats left after giving a few select folks first dibs will be determined via lottery.
If you're at one of my long-term tables (looks at majority of the people here) then it's also possible that one or both of these scenarios will show up in the future at those particular tables if you'd rather do something else with your Gameday bandwidth. And of course if you'd really like to play Twisted Circle but don't have a vine leshy to play (or traded yours away if you did have one) then arrangements could probably be made to run a second table with a more standard cast of PCs - probably during Session #2 :)

![]() |

I've got a vine leshy boon I haven't used. I'd love to join your table of #7-12 The Twisted Circle. Is it low tier?
Larry

![]() |

^It is now! :)

![]() |

Hmm... That may not have went to plan. I'm not looking forward to seeing what happens next. ;)
Anywho, I won't have access to my computer for the rest of the week and can't seem to draw lines on my tablet. The way I moved should only provoke an AoO from the one hellhound unless the crows are within reach and have combat reflexes.

![]() |

Poor rolls at inopportune times :(

![]() |

Kinda ran out of time tonight to get a post in so I'll try and get Nina & Inky's actions posted in the morning before I head to work :)

![]() |

Folks, I'll try to post this weekend, but it might be tough. I'm overseeing a small local con, Toy & Geek Fest, Saturday and Sunday here in Puyallup, Washington.
Just check in from time to time, to see if things have been updated.

![]() |

Have fun!

![]() |

Yes, have a good time and I hope the con goes as smoothly as possible!

![]() |

Hanlin raises a tattooed hand to bless Larry's Con. May the TPK's flow freely.

![]() |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Nina peers suspiciously at Hanlin.
"Don't you put that evil on those players, Ricky Bobby Hanlin! Who's side are you on, anyway???"
The little gnome begins to try and roll up the priest's shirt sleeves and pant legs, looking for a hidden Asmodeus tattoo or something.
__________
In other news I signed Corona up for your Assault on Absalom table, GM! She should hopefully be 5th level by then but if her Session #1 game doesn't finish in time I can bring my 6th cleric Nella instead :)

![]() |

My apologies, everyone. I only now realized that everyone was waiting for me to update our progress. I'll post in a few minutes.

![]() |

No worries, GM! I'd actually just assumed you more or less rolled from your convention into holiday plans and thus were busy.
Speaking of holidays, Happy 4th of July and/or Wednesday everyone!

![]() |

GM Lorenzo, I think my previous Entwined Serpents attack was applied against a different raven other than the yellow one I had targeted. Can you verify?

![]() |

Good catch, Erlathan. I'd removed the correct image from the map, but I hadn't made the update to the encounter table.
This is a complicated fight, and I'm trying hard to avoid mistakes. After I'd posted this round, the lemures all missed, though I then realized the cyan lemure would only get one attack, if it survives Akela's AoO(s). I didn't want to correct the post, because it would have adjusted all the digital dice results.

![]() |

Ya so many attackers and defenders. Quite the complicated updates. Its going to be worse when I channel to heal and likely hit some minions I can't remove with selective channel. I can remove 3, which will likely be the 'bosses'.

![]() |

Yeah, I know it would take me an age to make an update in a combat like this as a GM, and I'd likely keep forgetting stuff. Kudos on keeping track of everything. :)

![]() |

We can exercise a little tactical patience, Erlathan. The situation's gettin' real.
Post when you're able.

![]() |

Lord Braggett, thanks for the catch on Netokkurai's hp (-32). I'll fix it in the next update.
It's entirely appropriate for Sir Kibble to defend his dying master, and Vegazi will encourage him to do so. (Her Handle Animal modifier is at least +8.)

![]() |

I'll likely continue channel healing to at least stabilize you and keep others topped off. Too bad I can't blast off another channel harm to thin the ranks a bit. That flanking hell hound really did a number on you Sir!

![]() |

Yeah, the pucker factor just went up a bit...

![]() |

Thanks, GM! Yeah, I was sure that hell hound was going down in that last round and I'd be able to make a temporary retreat to recuperate on my turn, but those darn dice had different ideas. I guess I should have taken better care with my positioning, but keeping them cornered was just too tempting for me. :)

![]() |

Bax the Mask's stats actually already included a buff that increased her AC, so Sir Kibble took her out after all.

![]() |

Way to go Kibble! Braggett will be so proud. :)

![]() |

Bishop, do you have any skill/ability that lets you avoid or mitigate the -4 penalty on feint attempts vs creatures that aren't humanoids? (Not sure if the calculation of your feint attempt accounted for that.)

![]() |

Erlathan, has Akela used his smite evil ability (from the celestial template) yet? If he hasn't we can 'retcon' the additional damage here.

![]() |

Hanlin,
Just want to double-check with you before the next Battle Update: The barbazu Netokkurai and Bax the Mask are not excluded from your channel to heal?
Removing the 2 hell hounds and 1 lemure again from the healing. The 3 birds get healed if they have any damage.
Nina,
You can retcon Inky's actions. I forgot to remove the yellow hell raven from the map after Erlathan destroyed it.
![]() |

Okay; if you'll allow Inky to try and bite at Neto before she takes her 5 foot step back then Inky will just do that and we can keep the same attack roll. Otherwise there's not really anything else in range for her to chomp, in which case she'd just move back and that'd be it for the round :)

![]() |

Out of interest for my next turn... Would I be able to 5' step onto the same square as the downed hell hound? I'm guessing no, but I'm not entirely sure. :)
Also, at the risk of putting words in another player's mouth, I believe that Hanlin channelled energy before moving so that both Bax and Netokkurai were outside the yellow template area of healing at the time. ;)

![]() |

Exactly what Braggett said. I channeled two turns in a row from the same location, that of the template.
First turn I moved to the spot and then channeled. The following turn I channeled first then moved into the fray afterwards to get near Braggett n Kibble.

![]() |

Nina, do you want move about 10 feet to the south and make those attacks readied actions, triggered by a flanking partner, maybe Akela or Hanlin?
Just a thought... ;-)

![]() |

Sure, Nina can do that :3
*Player takes the hint - it's full of sweet success and chewy goodness!*
*edit* Okay, I think I got both Inky & Nina's posts edited accordingly.

![]() |

Sorry, Hanlin stepped back and channeled. I volunteer the dog!

![]() |

Folks, no pressure, but I'd really like to finish off the module before Gen Con. Please post as often as you reasonably can.
Thanks.

![]() |

Ya sorry, crazy busy week plus a family memorial event all long weekend. Don't be afraid to bot Hanlin if needed, going to work on doing wand healing for what I expect is to prep for whatever remaining fights we may have here.
