That's why the Charge has a ?! Either 5 foot step or chargeface.
Markus Coffinborn
Markus flings a hand out, confident in the knowledge that this woman was a dhampir and certainly not a vampire. It's nearing the end of the day, so he infuses the spell with a little bit of extra power to ensure that it isn't resisted.
Markus' red eyes flash as he sends a wave of necromantic positive energy at the dhampir, trying to ensure that she doesn't get away.
'Tu dolor-donum'
Casting Mythic Focused targeted cramp - lesser cure. It's a 3rd-level spell. It halves her speed and deals positive energy damage, and provokes two DC 21 Will saves (the lower of the two) to negate the speed reduction and halve the damage.
Positive Energy: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Hinagiku
Good to know about the charge!
With ligtning relfexes, Hinagiku moves as soon as she notices the change in Markus' attitude. With fluid and swift steps, she makes her around both the necromancer and Edgar, and follows Ary, almost coming within reach of their foe.
"There is no need for anyone her to die today. Surrender now and mercy will be shown." she says, her voice even and devoid of threat.
However, seeing the strenght of Ary's strike, and hearing Markus' invocation, Hinagiku can't help but feel concerned that their foe might never get a change to surrender.

"There, that should do it," Ehren says as he puts away his wand, relieved that she had not been permanently blinded. He wags a finger in front of her eyes just in case.
He looks over at the flustered inquisitor and frowns, his spell seeming to have had the desired effect. Beyond the fact that she was still glowing green, anyway. The druid closes his eyes and sighs, reflecting on all the terrible things the inquisition had done in the past. To the Sarkorians, to people like Jeslyn and Valaria. Another black mark on their record was the very last thing they needed.
"Are you okay, Inquisitor?" Ehren asks, wondering what might be running through the woman's mind. "That demon did not harm you, did it?"

Val takes a deep breath and as Ehren's magic washes over her face and she feels the blood flow stop. It takes a moment for her vision to fully return, making Ehren look like a fuzzy blob for a few seconds before she blinks and her eyes focus again. "Thanks," she says with a small smile. Being blind was not an experience she would like to repeat if she could help it.
She turns to the inquisitor. "This would normally be the part where I say 'I told you so'. But instead how about I just point out that any belief that leaves you vulnerable to a quasit whispering in your ear is probably a belief you should reconsider." Then she sighs. "Still, you're not hurt right? My last throw got kind of wild for a moment."

Decided on max 2x damage (34) for the double 20, cause damn :0 That’s what – a .25% chance? 1/400?
The woman turns to speak – but Ary is on her in a flash, sword cleaving across her body and drawing a torrent of blood. She screams – Markus' magic causes her muscles to seize up - and positive energy sears into her body along Ary's fresh wound.
Crit roll: 2x damage and 1 CHA drain – she is grazed.
Dhampir will save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Dhampir will save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Edgar recoils, startled at the sudden violence. To him, the heroes are attacking Inquisitor Corum! He looks towards Otto's farm, clearly contemplating running for it.
You'll need a diplomacy check to settle him down.
Edgar will save to disbelieve: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Really, Hinagiku's pleas are pretty silly at this point. The masked woman narrows her eyes.
"Hmph. You're not as dumb as I thought."
Initiative Rolls!
Markus: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Ary: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Isilme: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Hinagiku: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Mysterious dhampir lady: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Initiative Order
1. Dhampir Lady
2. Isilme
3. Markus
4. Hinagiku
5. Ary
The dhampir simply withdraws - slowly - into the cornfields. It is late Arodus - so the corn is fully grown. She vanishes from sight.
Dhampir lady Fast Stealth (grazed): 1d20 + 18 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 18 - 1 = 18
You can accurately follow the dhampir into the cornfield with a DC 18 perception check (to follow with your ears - at full speed) or with a DC 18 survival check to track (to follow footprints - at halved speed) - you would essentially follow her as she flees.
Cornfield functions similar to fog - partial concealment when adjacent, full concealment when more than 5' away.

"No," Inquisitor Corum replies, her voice distant. "I'm fine." She's frowning, and doesn't really seem to notice Valaria nor Ehren. She lingers on the stairwell for a moment, then sheathes her weapon.
"I... I need to report this to the mayor," she says, finally. She turns and heads up into the house.
Ehren Ferron
Once Inquisitor Corum has left, Ehren picks his weapons off the floor and returns them to their places on his belt.
"That demon cannot have been acting alone," he surmises as he adjusts his scimitar. "We have to warn the others."
The druid pauses, glancing at Annabelle's open cell, and then back up the stairway. "Do you think it is safe for us to all leave?"
Isilme
"Stay calm, Edgar. That isn't the inquisitor. It's an impostor pretending to be her using magic. Stay by me," she says, seeing he's panicking. "Everything will be alright."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (15) + 21 = 36
I'm assuming that's a std action, staying with Edgar this round
Sorry for the short post, on IPad in car, not great reception out here :p Will post additional action for next round too just in case.
Ehren Ferron
"I... should hope not," Ehren says reluctantly, grimacing at the thought. "But I agree. You should stay here. If all of this does not convince them that you're innocent..." He shakes his head and looks to Valaria.
"How about you? Are you going to stay?"
Valaria Alazario
Val hesitates for a moment, clearly torn. "I really don't like the idea of leaving Annabelle here alone, especially since we don't know where that little demon's master is. But I have just as bad of a feeling about letting you go out on your own. Let's see if the mayor and the inquisitor are upstairs. If we can get them to clear Annabelle with this, then we don't have any reason to leave her behind."
Ehren Ferron
Ehren nods at Valaria's plan of action, glad that she suggested it.
"We'll be back," he assures Annabelle, "Hopefully sooner than later."
He looks down at the dead guard briefly before moving for the stairwell.
GM Kiora
Annabelle gives a lazy salute, plopping herself back down on her wobbly chair to wait on the two to return.
Ehren and Valaria head up the stairs. They follow the sounds of Tobias Luin and Inquisitor Corum's voices into a nearby study.
The halfling mayor is still dressed for the festival - he has a wooden beer stein clipped to his waist and some festive, embroidered suspenders.
His expression is anything but jovial, however.
"And what do you think about the crusader?"
"I'm.... I'm not sure. The quasit didn't kill those girls alone," Corum's voice answers.
Valaria Alazario
Val finds her daggers and returns them to their places in her gear before heading upstairs with Ehren. She gives Annabelle on quick smile before leaving, hoping that she'll be alright for a few minutes. "No it didn't," she cuts in as they find the mayor. "But would the quasit have tried to trick the inquisitor into killing us if it was working with us?

Remember - GM and all the rest - she is moving at half speed.
Markus knows that he won't be able to chase after the woman in the cornfields, so he moves to the edge of the cornfields and invokes another spell - this one to fill his allies with assurance and luck. "We're going to be fine." he says, and the reassurance of his voice carries weight and power. "We're going to get her."
He moves and casts prayer. A +1 luck bonus to attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saves, and skill checks for allies, while allies get a -1 penalty to those.

Cramp only lasts 1 round, no?
Hinagiku launches herself in pursuit of the dark haired woman, brushing past Ary. Once in the field, with her vision obscured by rows and rows of green leaves, she focuses on her sense of hearing, following the rustling of the corn leaves.

"Don't let her get away. We just can't risk losing our only source of information. Don't kill her, either, if you can help it." Mythic Point for RALLY! Everybody gets a single reroll before Ary's next turn. You get a reroll. You get a reroll. EVERYBODY GETS A REROLL! Except the Dhampir. And Edgar. Cause Ary doesn't Trust Edgar yet.
Ary follows fluidly after the pair as they slip into the rows of corn, letting her ears... which seem to be working much better for this sort of thing than she'd think (really, chasing people through cornfields would normally be an exercise in futility!). She doesn't try to stop the enemy with her sword this time, granted, her sword would make the woman exceedingly easy to follow if they lost her, instead, she opts to stop the woman from getting away entirely.

Aw, poor Markus :(
Round 2!
The dhampir moves to stab Hinagiku - but it was just a ruse - she whips around and quickly stabs Ary in the shoulder - just barely missing the brachial plexus. She twists her wrist and pulls the blade out raggedly causing pain to shoot up and down Ary's sword arm.
She gives Ary a fanged grin. Her eyes are as black as the Worldwound sky. "What's wrong? Like me too much to kill me?"
"Edgar, I need you to go to Otto's and lock the two of you somewhere safe. Do not open up for anyone unless they tell you 'we have new materials for the archive.'" Isilme asks him. "I will be back as soon as possible, but we need to catch this woman immediately, as she is likely the one behind the murders."
Edgar nods at Isilme. "Tlaek vl'kl baot rak x'rr it, daexot it tkuarsou." He then takes off at a sprint towards Otto's farmhouse.
Isilme then utters a short prayer to Desna in celestial, asking for her blessing on the path before her and takes off after the others. Expeditious retreat & move 60'

"Well, at least she's hobbled," she thinks as the dhampir disappears into the corn again. Making use of her extraordinary speed, Isilme takes off. She swings back around the group and spirals outward, making use of her advantage to cover as much ground as possible. After her second pass around the group she catches sight of her through the corn stalks and closes with her swiftly.
"You're quite adept at moving quietly, if I'd had to rely on my ears and eyes, I'd never be able to catch you," she says to the dhampir, "But your expertise will do you little good hobbling like that."
"She's over here!" Isilme yells at the top of her lungs to the others.
Isilme pulls a Flash and uses super speed to make up for everything else! :p

He concentrates, trying to ensure that she can't take advantage of his casting before attempting to hobble her again. "You're not going to get away." he says. "You might as well just give up and save yourself some pain."

A wearer murdered while wearing a Mask of the Blood-Drinker rises as a vampire as long as he has consumed at least one pint of blood from a sentient creature in the preceding 24 hours. This exhausts all of the magic in the mask. A vampire destroyed while wearing a mask of the blood-drinker rises again 2d4 days after being destroyed as per the rejuvenation ability of a ghost. - 93 PP and 15 GP
- The following mundane items: Chalk, Disguise Kit (7 uses remaining), black ink, inkpen, parchment (10 sheets), thieves' tools, tindertwig (5)
There is a folded up note in her coat pocket. It reads:
Daena Krune,Aponavicius has sent me to extract information from her new prisoner, the heretic. An important task she could only entrust to me - the dwarven brothers have only proven their incompetence time and time again, as you well know. While I bring glory to the Blood Marquis here, you are to go hunting, my sweet pet.
I know how anxious you are to awaken as a true child of the night, but your ability to move amongst the mortals during the day is still valuable to us. There is a new group of upstarts lead by a Bishop in Kenabres that have caused our mistress great ire... but rather than destroy them outright it is more valuable for us to slander them.
I have sent Tovril to accompany you. Use him to spy on them. Find their weakest link, and turn their allies against them. Remember: fear and hatred are greater weapons than any blade.
And when the time comes, the mask will awaken your true potential. Enjoy the hunt.

"Interesting..." he says. "The idea that this was a vampire wasn't far off, actually. She must be part of a vampiric cult. It's well that we didn't kill her - she would have risen as a vampire if we had."
"We have to postpone her death by at least a day, if it's going to happen."

"That is good to know. I will remember you have those stashed on you in case we end up in a situation like Bedir again."
Isilme pores over the note, trying to make sense of it. "Who is this Torvil then? We should try to find them immediately as well if they have been doing the spying for Daena."
Isilme scratches her head, trying to remember if she's heard the title mentioned in the letter before.
"Also, this name 'the Blood Marquis'... Certainly they must be important, since Aponavicius sent whomever wrote this note, and so seems to be subordinate to the Marquis."
She focuses on the topic for a moment, letting herself sink into a trance.

She seems to recoil for a moment, then begins speaking, her voice distant. "Endlessly the machinations of the lower planes turn, its denizens forever locked in a Machiavellian struggle for dominance. Many have risen and fallen in the countless aeons that have passed there. Once, among them, was a demon so guileful, and with ambitions so great that he rose so far as to be nearly a god in and of himself. He turned his foes on each other, allowing them to do his work, and only stepping in when victory was assured. By the time any of his targets realized their true foe, he had already sealed their fate." She pauses, overwhelmed by the visions confronting her.
"Deceit, deception, trickery, lies... these were essential to his success. Like a legendary craftsman he produced webs of intrigue so intricate and convoluted that all he drew into them were forever ensnared. But much like smithy needs both hammer and anvil, or an artist a canvas and brush, lies merely provided the foundation upon which he built. Murder was his greatest tool, and one he delighted in using personally."
A look of understanding comes upon her as she finishes. She turns to the others, concluding "Lord among demons, Demi-god of lies and murder, his name is spoken in hushed whispers even among the most powerful in the Abyss: Shax."
Ehren Ferron
"Such a small creature... an invisible one, at that. It would explain how it managed to take your weapon without us noticing," Ehren adds to Valaria, before looking back at the inquisitor and mayor, "And it could have taken Annabelle's sword just as easily."

She didn't like how many of these demon lords were working towards the same goals... it spoke of something very, very dark that demons would align themselves like this. She started heading back towards the farm; they were certainly not far.

Hinagiku nods in understanding when Markus warns them about the potions.
As for the demon lord, she seems unmoved when it is mentionned that Shax has taken an interest in the group. Still, even if her master had taught her that her life would be one of danger, something she had accepted before even leaving Tian-Xia, the monk apprehend the idea that such a powerfull being was already bothered by their actions.
Before heading to Otto's house, Hinagiku approaches Ary.
"This object, laced with such dark magic, is disturbing. Ary, it would be wise to take it away from her, who knows what accident could take her life." she says, bending down to remove the mask from Krune.
As they walk toward the house, Hinagiku stays alert, looking around in case the one named Tovril might be around spying on them.

If someone tells Ary that the Dhampir is sporting magic that's got her disguised, she'll let the others take her stuffs. Until she knows that, she'll be leaving her gear alone. :)
Isilme
Isilme will disarm her and grab the remaining potions and token just to be certain she can't make use of them. We can probably leave her mundane items here at Otto's farmhouse (chalk, tools, etc.)
"It looks like none of this gear she is wearing is related to the glamer she is using to disguise herself, Ary. We should strip her of her gear in case she awakens."

"Ary," starts Markus, realizing Ary's intentions. "You should take this dhampir woman and run to find the mayor and the real Corum. You should go now." he says. "This glamer on her won't last long at all and we need to move very quickly. I can go to Edgar and Otto's to ensure their safety. Isilme should be able to run fast enough to keep up with you."
