She steps back, the starknife only grazing her, but the fire from Huerto burning her flesh. She hisses, realizing she's stuck herself in in a corner, still standing, if barely.

Horgus and anvina are standing back, bow and rapier ready if things go south, while anvina gives quiet instructon of what's going on to avarash.

Azlana responds That battle with the tentacled thing went on so long and the goop came back to life and quadrupled in size so I thought maybe it was different, but I'm sure you are correct and it is all the same. Do you think this is the same one that we just fought though, or is it... another one? The other one went a different way--Through the northern door--and we came to this southeast door trying to avoid it. Are there a lot of them?... Since it *is* all the same type of thing, though, why are we fighting it? If it can come back to life, what is the point?

There's a soft gak from within the ooze, and the ooze seems to relent, pooling back into a small puddle as a courpse falls to the ground. Whatever it was doing, it just got interrupted.

the hole in the corner is visible, and has a rickedy looking rope ladder in it. The wand has 10 charges, and both the bow and somewhat crude chain mail are masterwork.

Water glistens on the walls of the cavern as the rock is dropped- not much is visible from the hole, but thw ground looks stable and safe. Two sets of feet can be heard scrambling after the stone hits the ground.

Azlana asks if anyone wants the items I put them on her sheet so that they don't get lost, but if you want something, it is yours

Then she asks if anyone wants to go down the hole to check it out, or whether they should move on. She suggests that if they do go down that they not use the rickety ladder, but use a newer, better rope to lower people.

The exit could be this way for all she knows. Her instinct was to stay up, but caves were tricky things, and she didn't know what direction it was to get back to town.

in the next room, Three copper bowls filled with glowing coals hang from the ceiling of this long, natural cavern. The braziers fill the chamber with warmth and soft orange light. In the center of the chamber stands a block of stone that serves as a table, lined with wooden chairs. An enormous bloodstain, maybe a week old, darkens the stone’s surface. The four mongrelmen are behind the table, ready with clubs.
