Wyeth, you "really" think Marduk to be an evil overlord? XD
Marduk let's out a small snicker at Wyeth's comment.
"Ah, don't fear me, i'm just a mortal man. I find it rather pleasant. I'm sure you can imagine that social dealings can be awkward sometimes for half-kin. Can't say the human merchants talked to my commune about anything other than business."
At the thing about >Silas'< coin;
"Haha, that's similar to what one of two thieves said while they declared the attempted mugging of one of the temple's seniors. The spectacle was a sight to behold."
His face mostly covered, the brows and eyes revealed there must have been a broad smile on the half-orc's face.
He slaps Wyeth's back in a friendly way, albeit maybe a tad hard.
Though that is no surprise with a half-orc's physiology.
Edit:
Edited the ownership of the mentioned coin, so his own comment is "correctly in place".

Wyeth, you "really" think Marduk to be an evil overlord? XD
Surely not. But he asked if he looked like one. :oP
Wyeth snorts derisively at Marduk's comment about half-kin. "I'm half elf, you think I don't know bigotry? Worse, I hail from a kingdom that'd have me hung if they knew what I can do. I'm no stranger to intolerance."
The coin pouch comment -- everything after the first paragraph in that last post, actually -- was directed at Silas. Apologies if that wasn't clear.

![]() |

Surely not. But he asked if he looked like one. :oP
Haha, cut the civilised orc some slack :)
"Hmm, we share a sentiment, though i now consider myself the luckier after hearing that.
Were there for you no people that accepted you as a person?"

![]() |

"Oh? You dub yourself a mutt then?"
Marduk shrugs, leaving the topic for a later time...if any.
Sorry, 7 charisma ;)
Sterelin, Saitama and Coronoides are going to have some reading up to do....

![]() |

Haha, cut the civilised orc some slack :)
I did: That's why he didn't say what he was thinking. ;o) Wyeth's a good egg, his personality and beliefs are just a bit... off.
"Oh, of course! That wasn't a complaint; I've had a good life. But elves think of me as human, humans look at me and see elf. You surely know of that."
"As to the rest of it... well, Rahadoum isn't unique; every land has its radicals. But in a kingdom where religion's banned, that means any sort of divine power paints a target on your back. Doesn't matter if you don't grovel at some god's feet, the extremists will assume you do."
"I left soon after I started changing, rather than risk anyone finding out. No point in tempting fate!"
CHA 14 here but that's mostly his stunningly handsome looks, haha!

![]() |

"I would not say I dub myself a mutt, but factually speaking I am one, there can be no denying it. Trust me I did not pick the deformed, mottled blotchy red skinned, demon monkey look on purpose, and my parents were both rather pleasant to look upon," Silas said, bitterness creeping into his rasping tones.

![]() |

Marduk hears the them both and nods.
"Well,"looking at the others as well,"after we get through the museum i suggest we relax at the inn and tell of "good" stories we must have throughout our travels."

![]() |

"Ah, but it's never too early for a drink, my friend!" says Wyeth jovially. "And water is so variable from place to place -- even disease-ridden at times -- I've sworn off the stuff entirely. My waterskin holds ale or wine anymore."

GM G |
The large oaken doors gape open before you, and wisps and columns of mists escape from it into the night, more like grasping tendrils and hungry tongues than anything sane and familiar.
You can see inside to the atrium and, between billowings, a long hallway beyond. Flickering glows from torches along the walls seem to give life and strange, changing shapes to the mists.
Silas takes the first, brave steps into the cloying mists, in through the creaking doors of the Blakros Museum. An unnatural cold permeates this chamber, and the sound of his boots on the flagstone floor echoes off of walls that are barely visible through the haze. The tendrils of silver-grey mist that flow out the front archway into the courtyard beyond seem to effortlessly pierce the flesh and gently caress the bones in a cold embrace, curling up and around his upper torso as if trying to weave its way into his nose and mouth. The others follow him in.
The grand entranceway’s vaulted ceiling is supported by six great pillars of hewn black stone. Braziers mounted on the pillars cast white radiance from balls of continual light. The light glimmers eerily in the silvery haze that fills the atrium, giving the impression of something alien watching from the glowing fog.
DC 12 Will Saves everyone please

Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Add an additional +2 if it's an enchantment. And if it isn't, Wyeth's down...

GM G |
Break Enchantment breaks the effect, so I consider it to be an enchantment, Wyeth is safe. Now for the other 5...

![]() |

Whew, couldn't have cut that much closer! Would've really sucked for Wyeth to fail the first save (first anything) of his career...

![]() |

Saitama Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Easily bored with the big words and unnecessary dialogue, Saitama simply follows the tiefling inside the museum.
*sniff*... as the bald man's nose goes into the air as they enter. "What's that smell?"
I take one day off... and this is what happens. 28 posts :P

GM G |
Give the GM a break, you can't all make your save! ;-). @Sterelin; do not forget to roll a save for your familiar...

GM G |
Waiting for Sterelin's save, but meanwhile you can think about the situation
The mists billow back and forth, tendrils reaching up from the ground to flow around your faces. In front of you is a corridor, with three doors: one to the left, one to the right and one door at the end in front of you.
Where do you go to...

![]() |

"Straight for the office, Nigel's information could be vital. But at minimum we should expect something capable of making a mess of a steel cabinet," Silas says, moving behind the burlier types.

GM G |
Everyone, please remember that you have no way of knowing that Sterelin failed his save. I will update the game later this evening.

![]() |

Seeing Silas and Coronoides shifting position, Wyeth clears his throat. "I don't mind being in front; room to swing is good. But I can't move or maneuver quickly with this," he commented, kicking his metal leg our briefly, "and I lack experience. Someone else should lead."
He looks at Marduk and then Saitama. "How about one of you Irorans?"
"Not that I won't stand by your side in the first rank," he adds quickly.

GM G |
You move towards the door.
A placard above the door to the west reads “The Honored Dead” in blood-red calligraphy. The door to the east has a large placard above the entryway that reads “Hunting the Beasts of Legend” in great block letters.
In the distance you can hear the sound of drums, "Kaboom, kababoom, kaboom, kababoom, kaboom, kababoom, kaboom, kababoom..." on and on it goes. It seems to be coming from beyond the doorway at the end of this corridor. That door has no placard above it.

![]() |

Marduk's wrapped up face looks slightly over his shoulder and lets out a modest chuckle.
"Don't mind if we do, do we brother Saitama?"
Having said that, Marduk reaches into his lightly loaded backpack and takes out what appears a glove. Contrary to a normal glove, there were spikes on the back and it covered a part of his forearm as well. He slid in his left hand and tied it shut. Opening and closing his hand assured him it was secure.
<Marduk has just equipped item: [Cestus] in left hand slot> :P
Allowing his left fist to deal blunt and piercing damage. Can be used for flurry of blows.

![]() |

Wyeth's eyes sparkle above the grin hidden beneath his face covering. "Such enthusiasm!" he remarks quietly to himself.
Then he realizes that he, too, is looking forward to whatever might come.

![]() |

"From what I could see the door to the office is from that western room, so we must enter this room of "The Honoured Dead". Let us get this done gentlemen."
Museum Map So you can ensure I'm not reading it wrong.

GM G |
Silas, you are correct.
Silas opens the door.
The mists in the next area congeal into a thick and silvery fog that cools the lungs. Arranged throughout this large hall are exhibits on the funerary traditions of several civilizations, along with preserved corpses arrayed in grim stillness. A giant warrior looms from the haze, his arms crossed at his chest, his helm solemn and still.
Beyond lie sarcophagi of varied designs, and a few glass cases wherein withered dead are held upright by rods and string; grim exhibits of long-dead citizens whose fallen empires were erased an age past.
In the north-western corner you see the smashed glass of the door that once separated the hall from the area beyond. Meanwhile the distant drumming continues
"Kaboom, kababoom, kaboom, kababoom, kaboom, kababoom, kaboom, kababoom..."

![]() |

"That doesn't look good," says Wyeth, tipping his head briefly towards the destroyed door. His toes repeatedly clench reflexively at the sight of shattered glass littering the floor.
Dang, I didn't think the "barefoot" concept would bite me this quickly...

![]() |

"Could be worse. I've seen some false Irorans try to use hot coals as a test of strength. Of course, Irori doesn't bless those who hurt themselves for no good reason."
Saitama walks inside the room, heading towards the glass door.

![]() |

Upon hearing Saitama's words on the phonies;
"Hehe, that must have been a laughable situation to see.
Ironically enough, "getting hurt for no good reason" was what my father said to me the day i saved a girl at the market square. Which consequentially led me to the temple, being a bruised child afterwards.
Marduk takes in the macabre sight.
"This place is so calm it wouldn't surprise me if something would start moving, this place is cursed isn't it?"
Marduk clenches and releases his fists, as to prepare for something.

![]() |

Silas follows Saitama glad someone more durable has taken the lead, he scans the room nervously with his beady eyes, keeping a particular eye on the statue - even though it is not an ape,
"You do get to visit the most charming places as a Pathfinder," he grouses.

![]() |

Wyeth nods. "Cursed, and Adril said something about people being corrupted and 'left raving through the halls' -- we'd be well-served to keep our eyes open and our weapons at the ready."
He makes a quiet aside to Marduk. "I'd hear more of that childhood incident over those drinks later, if you're willing to share."

![]() |

"Kindly discuss where you two are getting your room later," the tiefling snaps, on edge, and as always rather bitter when he sees others getting along so effortlessly; why don't the ignorant, stupid, brainless people get along with him? He's smarter than them all - one of life's great mysteries.

![]() |

Marduk replies; "That's an interesting tale, no problem."
"We are getting our rooms at the inn obviously", Marduk dryly responds.
Edit:
Silas, just throw in a topic, i'm sure some of us will drop in for smalltalk.

![]() |

Coronoides allows the banter to pass him by. He's not sure if it's bravado, or they're not as focused on the task in hand as he is - but he reflects that it doesn't matter.
Coronoides focuses on the surroundings - with as much interest with what's behind them as in front of them. He realises he must look somewhat paranoid, but better ridiculed than dead!
He also starts looking for any tracks - that broken glass might yield some clues?
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Tracking (normal speed): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Edit - perhaps he should just join in the discussion!!!

When you reach the middle of the chamber and Sterelin is shouldering his way past everyone to the shattered door, you are beset by animated corpses. One is a withered, mummified thing from beneath Osirion’s sands bearing a jeweled scarab on its chest among its spiced wrappings Map H6, O
Another is a hulking skeleton, who wields a greatclub fashioned from a mammoth’s ivory tusk Map L5, P. The third is a shrunken, emaciated corpse wrapped in rotten silks, and holding a silvered Qadiran scimitar in its bony fists Map K9, Q. An armored warrior of a long-dead empire, clad in heavy discolored bronze plates and helm, is also present Map G9, B. The undead surprise you and move swiftly closer.
The hulking skeleton swings his club in a fell overhand swing, which connects solidly with Sterelin, who goes down immediately! The shrunken corpse with the scimitar bears down on Marduk and does a mightily hit, which would have decapitated a lesser man.
The mummified thing jumps towards Wyeth and tries to bite him, after which his nails also rake the half-elf's face. Luckily the bite does not connect although the nails do enough damage to stagger the half elf, who is just barely able to stand straight.

Aw noes...tpk in 2 rounds on the 1st adventure?
The placed is most surely cursed with this :(
GM, what are the CMD of the zombie on G9 and the skeleton on K9?
If Marduk survives this attack.....and he prays to Irori he does, he will attempt some acrobatic stuff. But i'll need to know their CMD for that.

GM G am I correct in assuming that the table thing in H9-I9 would prevent the undead from taking a 5ft step being a hard corner? Actions will change if I am not.
On the assumption that Saitama moves to attack.
Silas steps back into the spot just vacated by Saitama I8 and produces a small vial full of amber liquid which he flings at the undead before him. G9
