With Zel taking some time to mourn her loss, i'll DMNPC her
Corrin: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Zeldana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
As Zel grasps a hold of the rope to begin her ascent, she pauses, turning to Corrin. She taps her ear and nods towards the large rotted doors. Goblins! she mouths in an exaggerated motion.
Letting go of the rope, she hurries to his side. She pulls out a card from her deck and reveals it. a moment later a subtle hue shimmers over her, distorting her form to the eye. The moment passes and she appears normal.
Zeldana cast mage armour on self.
an open structure, the stair case runs the perimiter of the tower droping at staggered drops, common to goblin con-con-remodification. nope, goblins dont "construct" just slap together and squeel in prayer
Sazzat looks down, and sees a door on the north wall, and one on the west wall. The door to the north stands open.
Corrin Whisperwind
He tilted his head and looked at her motioning her to open the door and back away with his spear. He half crouched with the spear pulled back, it looked as if he was readying a mighty thrust for the first foolish thing to exit the door.
Yeda Wolfspirit
Yeda hustles to finish her climb and reach the top of the tower after Sazzat.
[double move] 60/4 => 15' up
Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Sazzat Tamm
Tamm creeps down quietly to check what's visible through the north door.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Bandit clings to his shoulder, the raccoon's eye's getting wider and wider as Tamm ranges ahead of the rest of the party to scout.
RIZZENMAGNUS
loxley and yeda have a yellow border on their icons on the map, indicating they are at a "second story" height.
yeda's on the top of the tower, sazzat is inside the tower.
The large doors of the structure, stout yet rotted in certain areas, still able to rebuff all but the most determined of attacks, swing out with a heavy creak. Goblins rush out, screeching and hollering, large and small blades glinting bright steel and flashing dried blood as they wave about.
They rush out, past the readied elf and his deadly spear. suddenly, like a tensioned spring, he snaps out, the blade of his polearm catching the first goblin he fixates upon its chest. the goblin tumbles to the ground, dead.
Corrin can make AoO on each creature, provided he has the available AoOs to do so.
Sazzat Tamm
Not knowing what's happening outside, Tamm heads over to the closed door in the west side of the room and listens for activity on the other side.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Yeda Wolfspirit
Yeda heads inside and rejoins Tamm. Having both of her hands free, for once, she draws her greatsword again.
What have you found in here?
Loxley Geralt
Loxley bit her lip as she leaned over the edge of the roof, listening to the goblins gathering below. She watched as Zeldana and Corrin braced for a fight. She called her magic to her, gathering it in hand and about to release it. She didn’t think either of her companions would succumb to her spell but she didn’t want to chance it so she paused only long enough to pick her spot.
Choosing a spot to catch as many goblins as possible with in its 10 foot radius. Loxley whispers a quiet incantation and releases her spell on the unsuspecting creatures below.
Casting Sleep Will save vs DC 15
RIZZENMAGNUS
Corrin snaps forward a second time, his blade cutting across the body of one of the exiting goblins, dropping it to the ground, dead.
goblin will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
goblin will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
goblin will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
goblin will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
wow...those are some very fine rolls there
Loxley's spell poofs into effect, a slight shimmer falling over the goblins body. twinkles of light flash momentarily, highlighting the bodies. The goblins cough, and almost as one, all inhale deeply and slump to the ground. eyes closed, breathing deep, they sleep.
all 4 remaining goblins are asleep.
im going to say that you guys are out of combat...for the moment.
Corrin Whisperwind
I heard you say we are out of combat when there are four goblins to coup de gras . . .
damage CDG 1: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11 fort save dc 21 or die
damage CDG 2: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 6) + 4 = 11 fort save dc 21 or die
damage CDG 3: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8 fort save dc 18 or die
damage CDG 4: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9 fort save dc 19 or die
Quietly he moved to each goblin thrusting his spear into its throat coldly and calmly. They couldnt risk them waking up and making noise and there was no time to other options.
Yeda Wolfspirit
Yeda nods back at Tamm and taps her sword once on the door as a way of confirming. She focuses forward as he opens it, intending to follow his keen-eyed lead.
Loxley Geralt
Loxley watched as the goblins collapsed under her spell. She saw Corrin moving up to take care of them and turned her attention upwards in the direction Yeda and Sazzat had climbed up to. She didn’t like having the party split like this and found herself torn between waiting for the two below and wanting to follow after those above. For now, all she could do was keep her attention sharp for possible threats as she waited.
RIZZENMAGNUS
even if i made the rolls, the goblins would still be dead just from HP damage. so im not gonna bother
each goblins eyes snap open, unfocused, as the spear tip, still sharp enough to easily pierce skin, muscle and sinew, pushes through the tender flesh of the throat and bisects the neck vertebrae. Each individual pairs of eyes blink a few times, the gaze staring off into the blue sky. Each body goes immediately limp, much to relaxed that that of someone whos sleeping. Finally, the deed complete, Corrin wipes his spear tip clean on the goblin rags.
Yeda Wolfspirit
Yeda shrugs and silently points to the first door, implicitly urging the rogue to proceed forward and scout, look for traps, etc.
RIZZENMAGNUS
Zeldana looks up at Loxley, Further up at the tower, and then down at Corrin as he dispatches the goblins.
Perfectly good door right here we could walk through. But can we do that? she walks up and grasps the rope, pulling herself up.
zel climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Noo, we cant. Come on Corrin. Hurry up. Zel summits the top of the wall and begins to make her way along the roofline towards the tower. Come on loxley, let's not dwaddle. Fate is a fickle mistress, and we press her by being in this precarious position.
Yeda Wolfspirit
Yeda continues skulking behind Tamm, her sword forward and at the ready.
Loxley Geralt
Loxley watched Zeldana shimmy up the rope to join her on the roof.
”Yes, let’s.”
She nodded at the witch and glanced back long enough to make sure Corrin was sure before hurrying after. She tucks her weapon away as she carefully follows Zeldana towards the tower, eager to rejoin Sazzat and Yeda. At the tower, she glances back again to check Corrin’s progress.
Zeldana Dardlara Amaria
I can't move Zel on my phone so if someone would be so kind to move her up to our two most foreword friends that would be much appreciated.
Zeldana, with Loxley following behind her, lead the way to rejoin Sazzat and Yeda, trying to keep and eye out for danger.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Yeda Wolfspirit
The warrior nods and continues behind him. She finds it a little uncomfortable that if an ambush is sprung she'll have to jump past Tamm. Nevertheless she crouches at the ready with her large blade pointed forward.
RIZZENMAGNUS
@zel and loxley. just to remind you both, Sazzat and Yeda climbed up the tower and went in that way. you both are already on the roof of the structure, and would need to climb up the tower (another climb check) to follow sazzat and yeda in.
@sazzat, how long does your vanish spell last?
RIZZENMAGNUS
@corrin: what you mean? the goblins you just killed came through the door in front of you.
Corrin Whisperwind
Tilting his head and looking up at the others then at the open door he frowned.
"I'll catch up group up with Sazzat and Yeda"
He called out to the others heading through the door the goblins came out of with his spear at the ready.
stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
RIZZENMAGNUS
@loxley: you can make the attempt to climb again. The first result just prevented you from climbing up this previous attempt.
Corrin Whisperwind
He paused and watched the figure for a moment wondering if he would be noticed.... He decided it would be better to not surprise his friends in the middle of a goblin fortress.
"Front's clear, good call flanking above them though. . . Hi Bandit, Hi Sazzat."
He said lifting his leather warmask up and smiling brightly before going back to completely stone faced and slipping the mask down. He moved to the door on his left listening at it for a moment.

He hurt
By the gods above, below and in between, he hurt!
The thudding of the drums were what awakened him from his short moment of unconsciousness.
thud! thud! thud! they pounded to his left.
He twisted his head to look in the direction of the drums, but immediately regretted his decision. Pain flared through his head and neck! a heavy lightning bolt of agony shot from his neck, down his spine, to his toes, and up to his head again. He closed his eyes, his mind swimming, lost in the haze of pain. His body pitched forward momentarily, and he threw up. Rather, his body heaved, but nothing came up. A small bit of spittle clung to his lip as his frame shook from the effort, and the pain of the sudden movement.
His eyes opened again, attempting to focus on the white form in front of him, but he passes out again, unconscious.
also, elsewhere
The drums, so loud! So annoying! she thought, attempting to lift her arms to cover her ears, yet unable to.
Her hands were bound together in an iron manacle, with a length of chain draped upon the floor and attached firmly to the leg of a grotesque throne, bound within a grotesque room.
For a moment, she feels a slight moment of embarrassment, for she wears a single narrow scrap of rag that hardly covers her lower region, the rest of her body naked to the creatures that lurk within the room.
the one upon the throne, before the drums beat, had smiled with delight as he told her about what he had planned for her tonight.
and then, when youre pliable, i will-
thank god for the drums!
Evriani D'krent
"What are you waiting for? Show this creature what you can do."
Evriani nodded at the voice inside her head. Hoping that the drums were a sign that the goblins were under attack by friendlies and not just other goblins, Evriani held her chin up a bit higher and decided it was worth a shot. She turned to the creature upon the throne she was chained to and plastered a sultry smile on her face.
"Maybe I'm pliable enough already, your greatness..." The words were ridiculous but she was a pretty good liar, and she practically purred them. "If you could just free my hands, I could show you..." Show you the powers I'm capable of when I can move my hands, you disgusting sack of...

Corrin Whisperwind
He made a motion torwards Sazzat and then the door where he heard the noises behind. He moved torwards it and stabbed the tip of his spear into the ground and reached out for the door handle to test it open.
Once the door is opened (if he could open the door he will.) He would draw his spear from the ground and advance.
Yeda Wolfspirit
Yeda notes when the elf motions to Sazzat and turns back toward the door, she raises her sword and points it forward. She is ready to launch forward once he opens it.
Jarl Purrun
Hanging limply from his restraints, the young man struggles to keep breathing, to remain alive. As he fails to lift his head, or focus on the white shape in front of him, he sees a figure walking towards him through the field of white. A humanoid, with a large rack of antlers, stops before him, slowly shaking it's head.
He tries to speak, but his mouth and throat are too dry, so the young man thinks at the figure, expecting him to understand.
I have failed. Failed you. Failed Sandpoint. Failed the family. Without your help, I will die here. Do not punish them because I Failed. Keep them safe and working together. I'm ready. Take me. Release me. I don't even care if I will be rewarded or punished, as long as this ends.
If there were enough water in his system, the young man would be crying. Hanging from a wall, looking at a vision of his god, begging for his own death.

until everyone is together, let's still have Jarl and Evriani post in spoilers ot indicate seperateness
good first post! i like it! im not going to roll against it because of the below.
No no! you stay! drums beat! longhanks here here! fight! Die! Then we play! The "king" squeals out in his high pitched gross goblin voice. He pulls out a potion of somekind and lifts it to his lips, drinking swiftly.
Ripnugget! we must hurry! the interlopers- another goblin, wearing moldy feathers upon her head, bright paints upon her face, and rotting leather upon her small frame, the female goblin looks at Evriani in disgust. The interlopers! dey's here to free your new plaything. Dey's here to destroy our tribe for the attack upon the longshank village! Surely-
Silence rotted one! The goblin leader, ripnugget, exclaims drawing his sword from its ragged sheath. He whistles slightly up into the short rafters, where a lizard emerges. Bright green with wide red eyes, it looks around for a moment before descending the wall with minmal effort, its toes and paws sticking easily to the wooden walls. It passes swiftly down and pauses before Ripnugget, where the goblin chief mounts his gecko. geico? Rotted singer! bring on the drums! Bring on the chants! We go. We attack!
What about the she-b@@&!?
Leave her! She is subdued and submissive! She will wait! ripnugget says simply, urging his "steed" towards the throne rooms large double doors.
I went ahead and moved Sazzat, Zel, Loxley, and yeda into C11.
Sazzat waves at Zeldana and Loxley, motioning them to follow him into the room at the end of the hall. THere they see Corrin who brings his finger to his lips in a "shush"ing motion.
Corrin, the door is open, and pulls easily with your strength. it opens wide and spot two startled goblins quick stepping down the hall.
Evriani D'krent
It definitely sounded like rescue was on the way. That was good news! So long as these interlopers won the fight. With the drums beating, and who-knows-how-many goblins seemingly converging upon their location, she wasn't sure they would. And if the goblins won the day...well, such thoughts were not worth entertaining.
If she could only get her damn hands free so she could cast her spells (which alllll have somatic components, gosh darn it, lol) , she could be of help to her potential saviors, rather than sitting here half naked like some damsel in distress. Obviously, the lecherous little goblin wasn't having any of her attempts to seduce him at the moment, so she tried a new tactic once he started away on his mount and was no longer right next to her.
If he's too close and would overhear, and there's no chance Evie could convey the following message to the female goblin but not him, she wouldn't say it -- she'll try something else.
"It's terrible how he speaks to you," she sympathized with the female goblin wearing the moldy and rotting armor. She tried to direct her words so the female would hear her, but this 'Ripnugget' would not. "No respect. And after all you do for him! I'll bet you'd make a much better leader than him." If she was certain Ripnugget would not overhear, she would add, "I could help you with that, you know...help you take over the whole place."
Let's try this again...
