Zeldana Dardlara Amaria |

Zeldana gave a quick spin of her staff to ensure it was clean from the goblin she had just laid out and looked tot he other. "Little harmed but nothing to complain about." She smiled.
"Besides, I think I did more to him than he did to me." Zeldana said with a bit of embarrassment.

Loxley Geralt |

Loxley cursed as she lost sight of the fleeing goblin around a bend in the brush. By the time she had moved to take aim at another the only two survivors of her companions onslaught were already fleeing as well.
She frowned and eased the bowstring forward. The magic slipping from the arrow as it simply rested, unfired, on the string.
"Every....everyone good?"
He asked standing up right and moving to collect his dropped spear.
”I’m okay as well.” She assured Corrin.
”Sazzat?” Loxley called out to their companion still out of sight around the corner where the dogs had been sleeping, where they would now sleep forever.
RIZZENMAGNUS |

I'm ok Sazzat calls from the other side of the dense vegetation.
As you all pause to catch you breath and clean off the offal from weapons, the sound of surf, the waves crashing upon the shoreline, upon rocks and stone, begins to permeate the area. it comes from all around you, from the unseen shoreline just beyond the tangled mess of vines and sticks, to also the hole that gapes open in the middle of the natural opening of this goblin tribal land.
A crash of waves
A cascade of water falling back onto itself
A splash
A roar from below
A roar?

Corrin Whisperwind |

knowledge nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
What is that I wonder?
He thought to himself as he caught his breath. He moved to the closest goblin and after a quick search for valuebles drug it to the hole...then kicked it in. He knelt beside the hole and listened....
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Sazzat Tamm |

"I'm good ... no problems over here." Tamm says.
Hearing the roar, he crouches and slides over to investigate.
percieption: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Hmm, our next quarry? Yeda muses as she follows the rest, her sword coming back out of its sheath.

RIZZENMAGNUS |

as if in response to Yeda's quip, another roar, deep, fierce, heavy with resonance that presses upon the mind, resounds out of the hole. It vibrates the body, causing everyone to feel a thrill of fear.
everyone make a Will save, DC 13

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Will, DC13: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Uh oh...

Sazzat Tamm |

will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
"Some kind of big fish down there swimming around in the water .... and listen to the mouth on that thing!" Tamm says.
Bandit peeks over to get a view and chitters in agreement.

RIZZENMAGNUS |

good thing i hit refresh, otherwise this post would have listed sazzat as one of the affected.
how long this all lasts: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
The roar hits Corrin, Yeda, and Zeldana hard. It hits deep in the chest, hammering the heart, causing it to pause momentarily as the thrill of a deep seated fear, fear from an earlier evolutionary time, one that denotes fight or flight, rings within the body.
As one, they scream loudly, doing their level best to imitate the goblins not a minute prior. Dropping their weapons, they all bolt away, fleeing the danger that comes from the bottom of the hole.
To sazzat and Loxley, the roar rings in the back of their mind, tickling...something, something deep within, but they maintain their sense of self, sense of presence, and withstand the mental assault, standing their ground as their companions flee.
corrin, Zeldana, and yeda all have the condition panicked applied to them. they drop whatever is in their hands, and run away at max speed for 2d4 rounds. their direction of movement is random. Since corrin was woodland stride, he gets the d8, whereas zel and yeda get a d3.
direction fled, corrin: 1d8 ⇒ 3
yeda flee: 1d3 ⇒ 3
zeldana flee: 1d3 ⇒ 2
yeda 2nd random choice: 1d2 ⇒ 1
corrin flees into the woods, out of sight.
Zeldana screams in horror and rushes down the tunnel, back the way she came.
Yeda rushes down and flees the opposite of Zeldana. She rushes down the short corridor, turns left, and runs headlong from within the narrowed confines of the wooded tunnel, and out into the middle of a bridge, where she sees 3 more dogs staring intently at her, and one goblin dog on the bridge crossing towards her. The dogs yip, and then start to bray at the top of their lungs! Goblins, off to the side, one of pauses in the middle of wrapping a line of string around a log. They stare in surprise and shock at seeing a human woman standing on the bridge!
since your action is dictated by random action due to being panicked, i want you to roll d6. evens, you stop and cower in place at the top of the bridge. odds, you jump over the bridge into the water below. going back isnt an option because of your panicked status.
by virute of yedas encounter, we are in combat

Yeda Wolfspirit |

What does she do: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Yeda cowers in place.

Loxley Geralt |

”What is that?” Loxley groaned as the roar rang through her mind. Something tried to settle in the back of her thoughts be she managed to shake it off. As she looked around at the others she saw most of her companions begin to panic uncontrollably.
Corrin took to the brush with little fear of the brambles and thorns, as Yeda and Zeldana ran for separate passages. Tamm seemed okay and was already starting after Yeda. Loxley tried to call out to him before he got to far. ”Her sword!” She yelled quickly pointing to the massive blade the warrior had dropped in her flight. Loxley herself moved to snatch up the remaining dropped weapons and gave chase after Zeldana.
If she’s too late to get Tamm to grab Yeda’s sword she’ll pick it up. Also, is Dewdrop panicked too?

RIZZENMAGNUS |

she's too late. as for dewdrop...
dewdrop save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
oh yeah, dewdrop is fine. but is running after Corrin.
bandit saves against the will check

Corrin Whisperwind |

Damn those gobbos are made of stern stuff if they leave near a fear inducing cave monster.
His mind blank with fear he ran as fast as he could away from the goblin warrens. He barely registered Dewdrop chasing after him in confusion.
round 1

Loxley Geralt |

I imagine that collecting everything drop takes Loxley’s full action. I was about to move her marker when I thought of that so I left it. I would guess next round she’ll actually be able to move out of the ‘room’

RIZZENMAGNUS |

@loxley, yes.
@zeldana. that was round one.
The goblin dogs howl, raising a holy hell within the area. The goblins upon the shore, drop whatever is in their hands and begin to scream loudly as well.
The dogs charge across the bridge, their weird bodies causing the bridge to swing and flex from their rapid rush.
three of the goblins stay at the edge of the bridge, watching the dogs rush out while a fourth rushes behind the wooden pallisade, out of sight.
narrow confines of the bridge only allow one dog to attack at a time. a saving grace for Yeda
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
the dog snaps out and misses the cowering Yeda.
Corrin moves another 160 feet away (total 320 feet away from the hole), Zeldana moves another 80 feet away (total 160 feet away).

Sazzat Tamm |

"Great Zooks!!!! Look at all those dogs!"
Tamm moves up next to Yeda and casts Color Spray.
A dazzling cone of light flashes out past Yeda to engulf the two closest goblin-dogs on the bridge.
Color Spray (DC15 Will save)
3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.
5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Does yeda keep doing the same thing or re-roll each round?

Loxley Geralt |

Loxley retrieved the last of the weapons dropped by the others and was about to follow after Zeldana when she heard Tamm yell out.
"Great Zooks!!!! Look at all those dogs!"
There was only a brief moment were Loxley had to make a decision. With a metal prayer to any favorable gods watching them she turned towards her companion’s cry. Arms loaded she moved as quickly as she could deeper into the goblin tunnels.

RIZZENMAGNUS |

@yeda, make another roll. This time, roll a d6, 1-2 run back behind Sazzat, 3-4, cower in place, 5-6 jump off the bridge.
rolling for dogs, starting from closest to yeda
goblin dogs will save DC 15: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
goblin dogs will save DC 15: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
goblin dogs will save DC 15: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
ummmm....that wasnt supposed to happen.
The spray of color crashes into the three closest dogs, washing out their sight, and deafening their ears to all sounds the cone overcomes them. One of the dog yelps loudly...
dog falls off bridge, 20% chance 80+: 1d100 ⇒ 42
and collapses to the ground, unconscious.
The other two dogs, either too smart to be fooled by the illusion, or too stupid, manage to ignore the phantastical display, and continue on to...
im going to say that yeda can have her chance to roll and react before the dogs bite into her. If she flees in any way, then the dogs will move forward and attack sazzat and loxley. if yeda stays still, then only one of them will bite her.
first dog attack, either against yeda if she doesnt move, or against Sazzat if she does move.: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
damage bite: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
make Fort save DC 12 or suffer allergic reaction to the dog dander.
second dog attack against Loxley, depending if yeda moves.: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
damage bite: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
make Fort save DC 12 or suffer allergic reaction to the dog dander.

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Head case: 1d6 ⇒ 5 => jump off the bridge
Yeda jumps off the bridge. Per recent events she is clearly frantically fleeing the situation, as opposed to providing a demonstration of her stellar swimming skills.
So, I think this just became relevant...
You are at home at sea. You receive a +1 trait bonus on Swim checks, and you can always take 10 while Swimming.

Loxley Geralt |

Fort vs DC 12: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
The color from Tamm’s spell was fading as Loxley ran up to the bridge. One dog laid unmoving on the bridge, but two others were still up. Yeda flung herself off the bridge and the canines were momentarily forgotten. She could only cry out as she watched the warrior disappeared out of sight.
Suddenly, one of the mongrels was upon her. Loxley dropped her bundle as the cur’s jagged fangs tore a gash in her arm. She stumbled back with a gasp. Reaching for her sword as she flung a hand out at the mutt and growled out words of magic. A length of solid darkness lances out to pin its shadow in place.
HP:19/24
5’ step back and casting Shadow Trap (Will vs DC15) denfensively
5 different words for dog in one post. :p

Sazzat Tamm |

"What the frig!!!!!" Tamm yells as Yeda jumps off into the water.
"Ouch!" he he exclaims as the dog nips him.
Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Tamm resists the effects of the goblin-dog's dander.
He steps back and exclaims the same arcane word he cried out before.
Casting Color Spray again, catching both dogs. (DC15 Will save)

RIZZENMAGNUS |

@ loxley: nice! have a free reroll for anything.
round 3 combat
@yeda: correct. Roll a d8 to determine which cardinal direction you swim. 1 is at the top/north of the map, and go around in a clockwork fashion at the major and minor directions of the map
Yeda, make a swim check with a -4 penalty due to the panicked condition. DC 15. It's a 60 foot drop to the water below. The swim check is to see how well you dive into the water. If you fail, you take 4d6 lethal damage from falling the 60 feet and doing an incredible belly flop. If you succeed, you only take 2d3 nonlethal damage.
will save vs shadow trap: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 nope
will save vs color spray dog 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 nope
will save vs color spray dog 2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 nope
whew...
Note to self, blue lines on dogs indicate how many rounds the dog has been effected by the color spray.
The mangy mongrel feels the slight tug upon something from behind and below itself, but it snaps its head back and forth and frees itself. It , along with the other mutt, leap forward, only to take the full force at point blank range of Sazzats new color spray erupts from his extended hand. The prismatic spray, cascading with luminescence, rams into both dogs, and unlike the last time, the twisting light show rattles their minds into unconsciousness.
the fourth dog, out on the bridge, rushes forward, charging upon Sazzat, barking and howling. it lashes out and chomps at sazzat...
dog charge vs sazzat: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24 OOOOOOOO YEAH!!!
dog attack crit confirm: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 = 7 ah crap. stupid bot
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Corrin and Zeldana just run away.

Loxley Geralt |

The one dog is considered 'entangled' and it lasts for 4 rounds total. So should be held for 3 more rounds.
The one that just charged Tamm, did it pass by Loxley? Would she get an AoO?
Note to self:
daily spells left
1st lvl spells 3/5
2nd lvl spells 3/3

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Sorry, long day. Mondays can be that way.
Yeda tumbles to the water below, in her panic it doesn't appear to be the most "technical" dive she's ever performed as she seems to fight her armor all the way down.

Loxley Geralt |

Ah, missed where you said both dogs were knocked out. Love wasting a spell. :p
Must have looked at the map after he moved.
With the other dogs disabled Loxley turned her attention to the single current threat. She lunged forward, blade in hand flashing with magic for a brief moment, to strike at the whelp.

Sazzat Tamm |

Tamm steps up close to the goblin-dog and jams his dagger up into its head.
His dagger goes through the lower jaw, pinning its mouth closed, and ends up buried in its brain.

Loxley Geralt |

Fort save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
shoot. can’t remember what it causes.
Loxley cursed as her attack missed and the goblin dog countered. This time it’s teeth found more flesh but she managed to pull herself free in time to see Tamm, and by conjecture his dagger reappear. The weapon now buried in the creature’s skull.
“Thanks.” She gasped.

RIZZENMAGNUS |

the goblin dog drops to the ground, dead.
Her body aches, her nose screams in pain and her mouth filled with the taste of blood, from the severe impact she took from the bad drop into the ocean below, yeda pushes herself to swim, to flee the unseen threat. Swimming through the churn of the waves comes naturally to yeda, her time spent amongst the shoreline and the sea making this a natural act that even in her fearful state. She swims up to the small island that stands just a short stones toss away from the mainland, and looks at the rocky cliff face, attempting to find some handholds to allow herself to an opportunity to climb out of the water.
yeda, make a perception check DC 12 to inspect the cliff face for hand holds. Dont forget to add the -2 mod for being panicked
perception for something else.: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
start of round 5. this will be the last round that zeldana, corrin, and yeda are affected by the roar. Zeldana and corrin, after this round, will be able to run back to the group at the start of round 6.

Sazzat Tamm |

Tamm jerks his dagger out of the dead goblin-dog's snout and flicks it to the side to clean off the coating of blood.
He steps forward (5'step) and delivers a coup-de-grace to one of the stunned goblin dogs.
CDG: 2d4 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 4 + (6, 4) = 20
Looking back at Loxley after stabbing the dog, Tamm says:
"This is apparently what I do...."

Loxley Geralt |

-2 Dex, ouch, there goes a third of my attack bonus. (I’ve been forgetting to add my Dex to attacks with my dueling sword anyway :p) the -1 Cha will effect my arcane pool the next day
“We must share the burdens if we’re are to adventure together.” Loxley assures him as she smirks at Tamm’s comment. She absently starts to scratch at the area around the last bite. ”Crap, I hope it isn’t infected.” She thought in disgust as she approached one of the other unconscious mongrels. With more anger then she thought she should have at the moment she ran her sword into its neck. The sword flaring briefly with light as she struck.
HP: 11/24
Coup-de-grace on the next dog.

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Yeda looks around for a place to start climbing, still trying to calm her own mind.
perception, DC 12 (panicked): 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 - 2 = 20

RIZZENMAGNUS |

FYI, ill be heading up north for the weekend. Ill be gone from tomorrow til monday.
The goblins stare in shock at the ease of which Sazzat and Loxley both dispatch the goblin dogs. They stand, shifting back and forth from foot to foot as they stare in silent agony as the two crazy interlopers slit the throats of their mongrel companions.
stealth check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
perception check: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 7 - 2 = 10
Yeda swims up to the cliff face and directs her gaze to the left and right, looking for a rocky protusion, a hand hold, a root, something! She breathes, spitting salt water from her mouth and there! to her left! a root! and it doesnt look rotted.
With her attention focused upon the cliff face, Yeda fails to catch the more real, immediate threat that swims through the water from below her.
A large, dark blob, cuts through the water with ease. Almost like a strange, dark tear drop moving the through the water.
bunyip attack on yeda: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
bunyip attack on yeda: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
damage from bite: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 and you gain the condition bleed as well. so at the start of your turn, you take another 1d6 damage until you or someone performs a Heal check dc 15.
yeda, if my math is correct, youre at 32/52 hps. 16 from the fall damage, 4 from this bite.
She feels the teeth first, tearing through her armor and puncturing her abdomen. She feels the weight of the thing attacking her second as it crashes into her with its mass.
a strange mutation of shark and seal, the same revulsion rising to your mind as you witness the end result of an ancients wizards dabblings at god playing, with similar twisted results as seen in owlbears. The bunyip, a savage, vicious predator of the sea, rises up into view, its razor fangs gleaming in the sunlight, glinting red with blood that was previously held within your body. It splashes down into the water, circling it's latest, more luscious, meal.
Round 6. the panicked condition is removed from everyone.

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Assuming that Yeda wasn't "grabbed" and can just continue climbing.
Yeda winces as something bites her, but chooses to ignore it and uses the handholds to push upward.
