Drogan grasps his longsword which still has ghoul guts on it and makes way toward the spider. Seeing no way around he heads right into the melee passing close to Elian and Guido, risking an attack from the spider.
Spider gets an attack of oppotunity on Drogan.
Drogan then swings at the arachnid.

Fedorean, disgusted at himself for not landing a single blow so far on this trip hangs his head in shame..after a minute of sulking he shakes it off and sits down to take a look at the spider bite, realizing its only a small flesh wound, reminds himself to get it looked at next time hes in town or comes across a healer. He then listens to the others talking about checking out the cocoons and agrees:
"I agree, lets look through the cocoons and see whats in them, maybe one of you can tell what kind of creatures they are?..then I think we should go back and try that door do you guys agree?"

"I was thinking we should explore each room as we come to it so we don't have to backtrack, who knows if that door we left behind leads to a single room or another hallway?..don't think it will hurt to take a quick look and see will it?, if its a hallway, we can come back here and continue on, if its just a room then we can search it and be done with it no?..what do you think?..if you guys don't want to go back, I could just go real quick and check it out and come back to let you know..isn't that what scouts are good for?" Fedorean chuckles a little bit at the last part of his statement.

While the others are debating on which way they want to go, Fedorean wants to sneak off quickly and check out what is behind the door in the previous hallway if he is seen he will tell them that he is stepping out to relieve himself.

Drogan helps clear the webs looking for any other creature caught up in them. "I think that since the door is closed and has been probably since the palace was discovered that we probably won't have any problems that way. I vote to keep heading in this direction." Drogan points towards the opening opposite of where everyone came in the room. Once the room is cleared, Drogan heads that way and looks in the opening.

Abasi shrugs at the others and follows Drogan. "It seems no matter what we do there will be somewhere left unexplored. For all we know, the door will lead into even more passageways. We may as well follow this one and see where it leads."

After clearing the webs, two corpses are discovered. They aren't all that fresh and both appear to be Kobolds. A small pouch is found by one of the bodies containing 30 gold coins and an average-sized pearl.

Warning noted..=} but is it possible for me to do this between posts by the others?..a quick get in and get back before they notice I'm gone? that way I'm not splitting the group up for too long? if so this is what id like to do.
While the others are checking out the Kobolds and discussing which way to go,Fedorean attempts to sneaks back to the door in the hallway unseen by his comrades.

I'm assuming since i am on my own out in the hall and separate from the others that i do not have to wait for initiative to act, and I can try again several times in one post, not sure if take 10's are accepted in PFS games, so I will just try a few times and if i cant hit the mark, ill go back to the others

"Good idea Anya. Hey, Fedorean!" Drogan asks looking for him. "I thought you're our scout? There's a door over here that should be checked out."

"I can do one better." Abasi reaches back into his backpack and pulls out a crowbar. He sets the flattened end within the crack of the door and attempts to pry it open. It takes a minute or so, but eventually the door gives and swings open.

Dammit! And I fail even that simple roll. I'm just going to take a 20 on it. I'm assuming no more giant spiders attack us in the 1 or 2 minutes it'll take, and maybe it'll give Fedorean time to get back.

Scattered amid the compromised shelving are damaged scrolls, and a number of still-sealed scroll tubes. A glimmering trickle of water seeps down from the ceiling in the northwest corner of the room.
On the North wall is a section of wall that has collapsed into another chamber beyond, but you cannot see what's in there from your position at the doorway.

Abasi smiles sardonically and bows slightly to Anya. "Of course." He stows the crowbar, hefts his sword and shield, and walks into the room, keeping careful watch.

Fedorean, Quickly and Stealthily moves around the room looking through the scrolls,Mindful that there may be creatures lurking and not wishing to disturb them and thinking that some of the scrolls may be spells his companions could use or the trade agreements hes been looking for. He starts grabbing any that look important or that still look intact and the still sealed scroll tubes and puts them in his backpack, Not wanting to venture any farther inwards over the rubble without his companions after collecting the scrolls, he returns back through the door he came in and starts to head back to web room rejoin his companions.

DM Roll 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
There are probably more than a dozen scrolls that might be what you are looking for. All are written in Kelish, so you cannot be certain that they are trade agreements or magical scrolls. You take a couple minutes sorting through them and grabbing ones you judge to be well-preserved.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
You hear something moving in the next room. Glancing behind you, you see a frog-like creature the size of a short-stocky humanoid come peering through the hole in the wall looking for the source of the light it perceived.
Abasi enters the room. There is a stillness in the air.
A mournful howl comes from a stone well in the room’s center. This large chamber’s walls, once painted with vermilion and gilded with gold leaf, are now splotched and crumbling. Unlike the walls, however, the tiles that decorate the well are untouched by the ages and gleam as if recently polished.

![]() |

Not sure what the process is for running away..lol
Fedorean seeing the creature and knowing that he would stand a slim chance fighting it on his own, decides to flee the room quickly and runs out the door slamming it shut behind him as he leaves!

Halkale glances in the room and sees the well and hears the moaning. He says dryly, "A moaning well, there's something you see everyday."
He then goes back to watching behind the group.

Anya follows in after Abasi (and presumably Drogan). "Interesting," she murmurs, starting at the chamber's walls in awe. She shivers at the wail that drifts up from the well. "And disturbing."
Murmuring a cantrip (Detect Magic), her eyes take on a faint blue glow and she sweeps her gaze throughout the room, paying particular attention to the well even as she keeps her distance. "That well is awfully well-preserved...."

![]() |

Fedorean Shows back up just as his companions are starting to enter the next room.
"Sorry, bout that guys just did a bit of solo exploration for a minute, that room behind that door is full of scrolls, and some kind of frog monster, I took some of the scrolls, let me see if I still have them"
Fedorean starts to fumble through his backpack
.. "maybe they will be useful, but unfortunately they were all written in Kelish and I don't know how to read them, maybe one of you can read them?.. but i also think if we wanted some action we should go in there and Kill that thing!"..Fedorean says in a excitedly fast out of breath pace..
"And What the heck is that Wailing Noise?"

![]() |

Abasi turns at Fedorean's interruption, and takes the proffered scrolls, tucking them into his pack. "Welcome back. I'll read them, but it may have to wait. It seems we have trouble on two fronts now, presuming that frog monster was curious enough to chase after you. We still don't know the cause of the wailing noise, but it seems to be emanating from that well."
"Halkale, make sure you keep a close eye on where we came from. Fedorean, if you could take a look for any traps or oddities I'd be quite indebted to you."
Once we find out whether or not there's any magic coming from the well Abasi'll go and take a peek over the side.

Elian looks at the strange well and comes to the same conclusion as the rest... there is obviously something strange with the well. His curiously detached gaze sweeps over the rest of the room, but then he turna when Fedorean returns. "So you're not dead then."
Elian's voice sounded curious as if spotting a curious fleeting fancy. He then returned his attention to the well.

Drogan assumes position near the door just in case that frog decides to pay the party a visit. He lets the more sneaky and magically attuned folks deal with the moaning well. Staying in place, Drogan looks around the room to see if there are any other exits other than the door from which they entered.
