So, now may be a good time for discussion about how we split the loot, methinks.
My groups usually have a hierarchy of how things go:
1.) Need/Only one person can use
2.) Want (any item nobody NEEDS but somebody would like to have).
3.) Sell pile (anything nobody wants, either from item 2 or stuff only one person can use, but that person doesn't want it).
In addition, all pure monetary gains are split equally +1 (for party fund). So with this group we'd be splitting things 7 ways (one share for each of us, one for party fund). However, I've never had a party this big before so that may not be a really good option.
+1. All good.
Of course, it might not matter if we never get off this island.

Shorga Brull |

Yeah I like it as well. We can try the 7 way split for now, if it's not working we can adjust later.

Brayden Green |

Neither thread are updating for me currently, FYI. So check back in every once in a while if that seems to be the case for you as well.
Ryn, I am attempting to scale the loot up so you should probably be okay with the 7-10 split.

Brayden Green |

Swing and a miss with the Seaward? No arrested development fans in here?
Everyone goes down to level 0, with 1 hp. :P

Shorga Brull |

Meh, I'll get over it, just like I got over Arrested Development.
OOOOOOOOHHH yes I did!!

Travis Brogan |

sorry, I don't even know what arrested development is... *clueless*

Shorga Brull |

*high fives the clueless tiefling*

RETCON:
Shorga falls while climbing and then dies. The end.

**Arrested Development IMDB info page (9.2 out of 10 rating) **
It is one of the best shows in the entire universe. Pure comedic genius. All the seasons are on netflix, and on DVD. I recommend it very highly. I'm going to have to go and watch it again...

Brayden Green |

I'm telling you, watch 3 episodes of Arrested Development and if you aren't amazed then you can quit it. They are only 20 mins a piece. (Season 2 is a little better than Season 1, but you gotta start somewhere.)

Shorga Brull |

He could be telling the truth. I only made two episodes before throwing in the towel. It got oversold to me, was the reason it failed to impress. Plus its full of terrible human beings, and few good ones, which is also not my favorite thing. Worth a look though, bottom line.
Did that ressurect Shorga? ?!!!?

Brayden Green |

Not resurrected, no. Maybe unconscious and stable.

Brayden Green |

Yeah, yeah, I know the Seaward..."I'll leave when I'm ready."
Anyhoot, I've wiped the map if anyone wants to plot the next course, please do.
I don't see how "Solid as a rock" is going to draw people away from the fact that we may have been illegally building houses *in* Iraq.

Brayden Green |

Shorga is cured.

Shorga Brull |

woot!

Shorga Brull |

Don't be hatin'

Brayden Green |

Hey guys. Not feeling good today. Have a migraine and my cold has developed into a booming cough. Those 2 things combined are something akin to the seventh circle of Hell.
Should have some stuff for you tomorrow, providing I don't get much worse. You should have a few days worth of tasks once I do post.

How do you like the Mindfire, huh? Not so funny now, is it? ;)
(Hope you feel better. Try chicken soup. Or peacock stew. Or turkey pot pie. Or an Ostrich burger. -Wren)

Travis Brogan |

Hope you feel better soon, Brayden. Like Wren said - chicken soup! or better yet, war won ton soup.

Brayden Green |

Still thinking of you all. Went to instant care today to get medicine for cough. I've only been sleeping an hour or two each night because I have major drainage from a sinus infection.
I now have a cough syrup +5 to combat against the no sleep monster. I hope to be back to my awesome self by Monday or Tuesday as I spend the weekend in "total defense."
I'll keep you posted, and thanks for the patience. :)

Travis Brogan |

Feel better soon, Brayden - but take what time you need to heal up. We'll be here, when you're ready.

Brayden Green |

Wow! When I said "major drainage" I had no idea what was coming. Let me just put it this way... I had so much crap come out of me (my ears have been blocked up for the better part of the last decade, and 2 different ENTs didn't have any answer for me, except "we can put tubes in your eardrums, which I wasn't sure of)... Anyways, back to the point, I felt like I was in a Linda Blair movie this morning. I started feeling a little better, and last night I slept as much in one night as I have this entire week, no exaggeration.
Then, you think that whatever medicine they gave me was the exorcist, because I had unholy bodies coming from my throat and Eustachian tubes.
I feel amazing, and am going to spend the next couple hours setting us up for this week. Thanks for hanging in there. I don't know if I am just making this up or not, but I think that my body's balance has actually been shifted, because in walking today I am noticing that I step a little longer on my left foot and kind of linger, and walking "normally" now is actually kind of bothering me, and making me feel off balance.
Trippy.

Travis Brogan |

Too strange, but ear and sinus infections can throw off your balance and vertigo can indeed be very trippy. Hope you feel better soon.

Brayden Green |

This might be taking some of the fun out of this, but since you don't know me very well and might be wondering if I am leading you into a TPK situation, I am not. As long as you play nice none of you have much threat of dying at this particular moment in time w the beast in front of you...
I like to have an "Oh SH**" moment with my (smart) players early on in an AP, (and also sometimes when you meet the BBEG for the first time depending on story arc), because it gives you a sense of accomplishment to either get the eesh kicked out of you - or have to run away, altogether - then to later come back and conquer that very same thing after conquesting around for a bit. I think it adds to the story. (I obviously can't do this with any stupid players because they will just start chucking rocks at the CR6 creature at first level, and then I have to hunt them down and kill them individually, for their insolence).
Because some of you don't know me, I am spelling it out here, in case some of you are wondering about this. I know that this declaration takes some of the fun out of this encounter, but I also need you to trust me (like I need to trust you) and thinking that I am just throwing a "beyond heroic" level encounter out there for you to TPK on isn't something that I want there to be a doubt about.
There are a multitude of ways that you can play this, so I don't think that I am RRing you right now or creating a Dues Ex. Just wanted you to be aware that this creature can and will kill you if you give it a reason, but its primary purpose here is to create a little bit of a mood for the story.

Travis Brogan |

lol... "it can and will kill you to create a little bit of mood for the story", lol.. that cracks me up... some mood! Anyway - Travis isn't gonna go all Rambo on it... He's just as happy backing up into the jungle and going around if that's possible...

haha. I edited my post. I guess I wasn't being very clear in that last line.

Yeah, Wren/me is not too worried about any of this. I trust you and the story you want to tell. I'll RP and play through just about anything, and it's all good.

Update:
No baby yet but two false labors.... ugh (my wife's about ready to pop out a baby, fyi).
So work is sapping my will to live these days, and my wife can't sleep and I'm having trouble getting onto the boards. Please be patient as I try to get myself some wiggle room to post.
You are not forgotten!

Brayden Green |

Congratulations (almost), and hope everything is well. I'll try to remember to bot you, and just post whenever you can.
Much love friend, and no worries on the posting. I know you want to, so just do it when you can so that you can have a little fun, while still taking care of things at home.

Brayden Green |

The wife is pretty sick with a fever, so I might be a little light posting until later tonight when she is down for the night as I take her to the doctors and take over with the kids.

Rynjin |

Wife and kids, always such trouble, gettin' in the way of the important stuff, like playing Pathfinder. =p
More seriously, congratumalations Shorga, or nearly so. =)
And sorry to hear that Brayden. Must be a really bad fever if you're taking her to the doctor.

She thought she had some lady stuff going on, which I tend to stay on the other side of the fence on... turns out she does, but it turned out to be not as bad as she thought it was.
GAME ON!!!

Osmillar Vendeltray |

Ngh. I'm sorry, guys, but as of late, I've become inordinately busy, and I'm finding myself without the time or energy to follow as many games as I used to. It's not likely to change any time soon, either.
I need to cut back really really hard, and I'm afraid this is one of the games that's going to go.
It's been great playing with you guys, and I'm sorry for dropping out like this.

Brayden Green |

I understand how that goes. Look us up on the other side of things.
Good luck with everything, and thanks for good play!

Travis Brogan |

gonna miss you, Os... good gaming in the future when life allows more!

Brayden Green |

Oh, and I just talked to "Shorga" because I learned that his wife had their baby just recently. Momma and baby are both good. He's also good and excited. Didn't want to blow his news or steal his fire, but I don't expect him on here with their family in town.
So congrats!

Travis Brogan |

I figured that's why Shorga was awol.... glad to hear wife and baby are both doing well... can't wait for him to spring the news himself though!

Brayden Green |

<<I didn't say anything....>>
;)

Shorga Brull |

Oh man B! Way to steal my thunder! ;)
Baby was born yesterday! Finally!
I haven't even been on Paizo since my last message, too much going on and wife needed lots of help and work on top of that was smothering. But now the baby is out! woohoo! Everything is smooth sailing from here on out! ;)
I got a week off of work now and plan on catching up and getting things rolling again right soon.
18 hours in labor
8 lbs , 6 ounces
21 inches
Baby and mom are doing great!
66 posts to catch up on in the gameplay thread, so probably won't be posting tonight... Also sad to hear about Oz!

Best of luck, Os. Another time, I hope.
Thanks for letting us know...I know it seems a small thing, but too few people do it. It is appreciated!

Brayden Green |

So, I was wondering if you would all like to keep the group at 5, or if you want to look for a replacement.
- On the subject I would just point out a few thoughts of mine. The first is that we need to keep in mind that our beloved Shorga may or may not be at his "A" game in posting for the next month or so until he gets into a rhythm, and the baby starts figuring out how to sleep regularly (*IF* the baby figures that out, MWAHAHAHA!) That, coupled with the fact that our beloved Shilyn has had a change in work policy that no longer allows Shilyn to post in the day, would mean that we have 3 members that can post in the day regularly (for the next 1 or 2 months.)
I'm all for looking for a replacement, but I am also okay with keeping it at 5. You guys decide. I can scale the mission up or down no matter what we decide. I don't think that looking for someone would be hard, because we already have 3 people that I know of following along, plus that recruiting thread had a number of people interested, and I am sure some of them would be interested. I don't think I want to do tryouts again, as that would get 15 peoples hopes up, only to dash 14 of them while picking the sole happy survivor.
OR, we could take suggestions from you all of any players that might work out. You could check your games and see if anyone wants to add a game... we have plenty of options.
What do you all think?

Travis Brogan |

I'm all for inviting someone else in, but I have no one specifically in mind... whatever the others want however... majority should probably rule in this instance.
