GM Auke's The Forgotten Laboratory (Inactive)

Game Master Auke Teeninga

The goblins of the dungeon's upper level took more than one trinket from the ancient laboratory that dwells beneath them. The wizard that created these items also performed dangerous experiments, many of which have gone out of control over the years. Stranger still, someone appears to be using the ancient equipment with sinister results.

Talwin watchesddd the goblins run, and sighs.

"Let them go. I hate to set them free on the countryside, but we aren't in shape to fight them now."

Talwin will cast stabilize on Ebon this turn, just as precaution. He can never tell just how severe the Shoanti's wounds are.

This chamber might have once been some sort of study, but it has fallen into ruin. The entire northeast corner of the chamber has collapsed, apparently because of some sort of drilling machine that emerged from the southwest corner and is now half-buried under the rubble to the northeast. The debris-choked tunnel from which it emerged is plainly visible. Wooden doors lie to both the south and west.

One of the goblins has a little leather pouch with some money and a human finger still wearing a expensive ring worth 200 gp.

Just from a game standpoint, Talwin cannot use the pearl as he does not prepare spells. Ebon might be a better candidate for it.

Looking over the pearl, Targost realizes that it is not something he can attune to, so instead hands it to Ebon.
"Perhaps you can benefit from this item as it seems to not react to me touch"
