Don't listen to In-Game me - Out-of-Game me needs money - lots and lots of money ;)
That's awesome...
I agree that the value of what someone has should be reflected, so If someone who has less desires an item that they should be able to call 'dibs' on it. But if were trying to go with an even breakdown, that we will end up selling most stuff, trying to keep everything equal.
I'm ok with the idea of a portion going for general items, specifically healing wands.
Honestly, since I don't want to do the book keeping, I'm good with whoever wanting to run it to do it how they want... Just let us know so we can plan accordingly...
In game, Taldo will be a bit of a scavenger and use what he finds.

Well, if you want to help me hunt some moles, we can have some fresh meat to go with out carrots and parsnips :)
Though I checked online; apparently mole meat is pretty bitter.
On the other hand, it's fresh meat and that can't hurt...

Uzziah |

I'm not that set on any one method, so long as no one feels put out and the party is effective as a whole. A share or half-share for the party sounds good to me.
Mmmm, mole stew.

Uzziah |

The map is fine, it displays the situation!
I would advocate for more squares for Uzziah to back up into, but that's not a big deal. :)

Uzziah |

On a separate note, I do get a smile when I see Ezekiel's token. He's very endearing. :)

GM Ariarh of Azlant |

I really liked that pic for Ezekiel, so I'm glad it makes you smile, Uzziah. And I will remember the extra squares in my next map. :)
Daryl: You may stand on the herbs and weeds/grasses as normal terrain - please note the long stretches of greenery between the crops are simply overgrown weeds and some smaller roots (as to standing atop the larger vegetables such as grown cabbages might prove a little trickier due to their shape - so I suggest you don't do that). I would say you can all walk around the garden patch, but not run as you may trip on the overgrown weeds/roots/grass/larger vegies or get a foot stuck in one of the many holes/tunnels made by the creatures. Just be mindful of where and how you step and no penalties will apply. ;)

Daryl Bohannon |

GM: sorry for the confusion - in which case I'll just move my actions last round to this round.
Darryl will still rush to help Morwenna, especially as she's grappled; though he can't flank with her this turn so I don't know if getting only a 15 would hit the creature...
That said; have a great night and I'll see you all in the morning!

Uzziah |

No worries!
I've added a HP counter and AC for Ezekiel to my tagline info.

Daryl Bohannon |

Alright. Morwenna's healed up everyone and is dragging the Nymphs out to burn them. I will check the game thread one more time tonight before bed then the game will be put on a short/temporary pause as I leave for my trip early tomorrow morning. Thanks, guys! :)
Have a good trip, GM, and we'll see you when you get back! :)

GM Ariarh of Azlant |

Thanks, Daryl and Taldo. :) And Taldo, I hope you feel better soon.
Daryl, since I'm headed out of town in the morning, I will not be moving you to the other areas of the settlement just yet as there is a lot of work involved and I just don't have the time the night before my trip to undertake the exploration and any corresponding checks/information. However, your checks can stand (as well as Taldo's) until I resume the game on the 4th July in my evening (morning/lunch time of the 3rd July for you Northern Hemisphere folk). Thanks for your understanding and see you all on the boards when I get back! :)

Uzziah |

Safe travels, Ariarh.

Aeracian |

I just gotta say, I love the fact that when I'm talking to you Ariarh, I'm imagining you sitting upside down due to the opposite sides of the planet thing lol.

Uzziah |

No problem Ariarh, take all the time that you need.

GM Ariarh of Azlant |

Alright, I've provided some responses to the checks since I've been away. I'd prefer if the party moves together as it's easier on me and better for you. I don't really want to undertake split-party searches/undertakings as I just don't have the time for it.
From tomorrow onward, I should be able to post more ... and we'll get back into a regular posting rhythm. I will try to post each day (and if not, every other day). I'm moving this game at a relatively medium pace as my spare time is limited most days. I hope you gentleman won't mind this. If I am gone (and unable to post) for longer than a day, I will notify you here on discussion. I would never abandon a game without word and I am eager to continue this adventure with you.
Okay, I need to check my other games and make postings there and then I'm logging off for the night. Any new posts on the game thread here I will respond to in my morning. Thanks again for your patience while I was away on my trip. :)

GM Ariarh of Azlant |

Since exploration and investigation are pivotal in this adventure and Perception plays an important part on whether you notice something or you do not (success or failure), I will not be allowing take 10 or 20 in this case and ask for Perception checks to be rolled to determine what you see and hear. Thanks kindly.

Uzziah |

Fair warning. I'll post tomorrow, it's late here!

GM Ariarh of Azlant |

Daryl, you haven't searched the second vegetable patch at A16 (the larger of the two). All those rolls you made were the first garden of the two in this section of the colony. So, you are now not searching the other patch and moving directly to A18? Once I know more, I'll know where to move the game forward to. Thanks.

I assumed that both of the patches - as they both have the same number on them via the map - were the same/generic and had nothing else to offer.
That said, I figured it would be a good idea to move on to something different rather than continue to linger and search what looks like the same stuff.
However, it seems like I misunderstood and that there is a difference between the two vegetable patches that is worth studying. Therefore, I guess Daryl will then explore the other one before moving on.

GM Ariarh of Azlant |

Daryl: You mentioned that you wanted to ensure that no ankhegs were in any of the gardens. If that is what you insisted was important to discover, then it follows that all the garden patches be checked as you explore the colony. If you think it’s unimportant now and all generic, then I’ll move you along.

In-game I would certainly explore things fully, yes.
Out-of-game I assumed that writing out the search and investigation of each patch would take a longer to write out and post (as well as wait for a response) and so I figured it would not be necessary to actually write all that out in RL - especially as the map suggested they would be the same.
However, as Taldo and Morwenna are going to explore each of the fields individually via In-Game exploration, I will certainly go with them.

GM Ariarh of Azlant |

The map doesn’t tell you more than position and placement of structures, fields and other buildings. I gave that to you so you can tell me which areas you’re moving to (to make it easier to narrate on your end). And honestly in game you don’t have that map and don’t know any sizes or where anything is. To learn more, one has to explore the entire colony. As to the second garden in A16, I have given you no description of it, so I’m unsure how you think it’s identical to the others when you didn’t look there.
My job is to guide you through and give you information. I’d ask that you don’t assume anything at this juncture as you’re newly arrived and really need to get to know the lay of the land so to speak. That’s what you’ve been tasked to do by Ramona - investigate the entire colony and see what’s going on.

Sure; I understand that. I was merely trying to move things forward Out-of-Game without having to take the time to write out how I search out each field and building so we won't all need to do multiple postings about things Out-of-Game which seem like they will have the same results.
However, I understand and I won't do that again.

Daryl Bohannon |

I’ve had visitors drop by unexpectedly and now they’ll be staying for dinner. So, I’m busy with food prep and hosting. I’ll post updates and responses much later tonight my time. My apologies for the hold up.
No worries, GM - it's all good :)

Uzziah |

Sure, enjoy your dinner. :)
