Wulfrum grinned as he heard the scrape of metal on metal and turned about to face the Orc. "Ah, there is the brute now. I hoped a howl from your dogs might bring you running." he said as he used the turning maneuver to swing the warhammer square into the side of the knee of the Orc bringing it down.

Varin stepped up with grim determination, hefting his hammer once more and lashing out with all his might at the remaining dog. His blow flew wide as he slipped in the blood leaking from the other slaughtered hounds.

Wulfrum Boulderhead |
Wulfrum shouldered his warhammer and looked over briefly at Beltzer noticing that he seemed quite alright. "Best check on the Tavern, don't want to lose that to the orcs...wait, where is Mohs and Arlan. Someone go check on them" he said as he he began to wade through the rubble up to the door of the Killing Zone

Mohs looks at the pile of corpses in the doorway. A job well started. and watches as the remaining orcs retreat to what they believe is safer ground. More fools them.
He concentrates for a moment and the greased patch of ground regains the power of friction. Mohs then leans down to retrieve the dropped key again.
"Arlan, orcs aren't smart, but they're cunning. I cleaned up the slippery stuff. Let's advance carefully."
Standard to dismiss grease. Move to pick up key.

Wulfrum will be ready to slam a hammer on an Orc in a heartbeat but if he sees no orc he shall let the hammer fall to the ground. If there is no one in sight, he will step further in and begin searching the place for anyone hiding and what not to send them behind the safe line.

When Wulfrum pulls away the canvas door of the Killin’ Ground, you find a bloody mess. Bodies are strewn across the wooden planks including one of Rabus Clarenston. As one, you make eye contact with the three patrons who are all clearly drunk and responsible for the killin’. You recognize them from earlier in the tavern. The half-orc wears a chain shirt and her bloody greataxe leans next to her. The two humans wear chain mail and their bloody greatswords lean next to them. As their mugs drop from their hands, Lys plugs the half orc with a heavy bolt.

A dangerous glint in his eye, Varin steps forward, his open hand tightend in to a fist as he stares at the surviving man. "You f!ing traitor, you scum. I won't dirty my hammer against you. You'll get what's coming to you!" He grinned viciously as he lunged forward, lashing out with the knife.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 141d4 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
His knife skips off of the mans armour and bounces off without doing any damage.
5ft till within Range. Attack
Elize 'Lys' Brokenshield |
Lys turns her crossbow towards the second human before Rishka hits the ground and empties the crossbow in his torso, fury calming down as several empty clicks are heard in the quieted room.
Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 - 2 = 21

Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Looking at Varin as he draws his hopeknife, she says quietly. "Don't dull your knife on these wretches. Go for the beacon. I'll reload and meet you there. We'll bury the dead later."
Full-Round Rapid Fire.
Wulfrum Boulderhead |
Wulfrum seeing that Lys had the last one managed did not want to tarry on the scene. He turned about and stormed through the wreckage towards the western gate.
I think...I am heading in the right direction.
Beltzer |
Beltzer does not like his chances going up to the top with the magical oil in the way opting to stay at the bottom of the staircase as Mohs suggested to guard the rear from any impending attacks. He readies himself for what might come.
Ready an attack for any enemy that comes within range. Can I ready an attack to fight defensively? It sounds like I need to actually hit a target to get the AC boost which is weird. If I can't get the AC boost before any attacks hit me then I'll just opt for a normal swing.

Summary Round 17
Lys turns her crossbow towards the second human before Rishka hits the ground and empties the crossbow in his torso, fury calming down as several empty clicks are heard in the quieted room. Looking at Varin as he draws his hopeknife, she says quietly. "Don't dull your knife on these wretches. Go for the beacon. I'll reload and meet you there. We'll bury the dead later."
blue thug takes 11+11=22 damage and is dead.
Wulfrum seeing that Lys had the last one managed did not want to tarry on the scene. He turned about and stormed through the wreckage hustled back the way he came towards the western gate.
The burning trees make the route impassable without magically created breathing air. The dogs were having real problems, but you hadn’t seen them then. The beast tamer had magical air. You need to go around back the way you were. I moved Wulfrum a double move of 20x2 feet.
After Wulfrum leaves, a haggard voice says, ”I’m not dead yet.” Rabus struggles and stands up. ”Thanks for returning. Besides drinking as much of my moonshine as you can handle, take this,” Rabus hands Varin an open bag that he had underneath him containing four vials and one empty: ”two remove sickness and two are soothe syrup.” You realize that Rabus played dead to escape death. Whether he played dead before or after his patrons all died, he will probably take with him to the grave.
Kagak has 7 damage and is pinned.
"It's your own damn fault for not waiting for back-up. I'm on my way." Let's try this again . . . Mohs takes another careful step onto the greased stairs, and his irritation and embarrassment lend his feet a firm foundation as he makes his way through the eldritch obstacle unscathed. On the second floor he sees Arlan wrestling with the spellcaster, Good move, can't cast with a barbarians elbow at your throat, and a abyssal bird of some sort trying to rip the brawler's eyes out. An arcane word and gesture sends a splash of magical acid to dampen the bird’s plumage, but the chaos of the general melee and the pain from his fall conspire to limit Mohs' aim. The shot goes wide and does no more than stain the tower wall behind the combatants.
Beltzer does not like his chances going up to the top with the magical oil in the way opting to stay at the bottom of the staircase as Mohs suggested to guard the rear from any impending attacks. He readies himself for what might come.
Nerak knew better then to go forward before the others so he remained ready where he was.
Kagak of the Rolling Thunder ineffectively struggles against Arlan’s pin.
Kagak to break out: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
The fiendish eagle continues to claw and rake at Arlan’s face. Then, it winks out of existence with a slight pop.
Fly check DC 10: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
claw on Arlan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

What took you so long, Mohs? Got this one all tied up. And I swear there was a bird. Anyway, if you wanna bash him a few times I won't mind. Maybe...maybe once with your hammer...for Clavin
On phone, will update effects later. Same CMD and AC as last time.
Varin al'Thine |
Varin stares, stunned, at Rabus for a moment, before gripping the man by the shoulder. "Get behind the barrier old man. Let us young pups get this. I'll come back and help after this is done."
Varin grabs the Earthbreaker as he passes, making to follow after Wulfrum. As he passed Lys he lay a hand on her shoulder and squeezed softly. "Thanks. I might hhave... I wanted to make that guy suffer. Thanks for ending it."
Picking up the pace, he dashes away, off towards the gate.
Double Move broken Green line is me. I'm under a dead enemy. Can th wait to have my f*ing laptop back.Hahaha Hopefully it will be Monday or Tuesday
Wulfrum Boulderhead |
Seeing Varin show up behind him, Wulfrum picks up the pace running alongside the burning trees. The heat coming off them would bother some but growing up a Warpriest of Torag and spending many an hour near the kiln.
Elize 'Lys' Brokenshield |
So did I, Varin, so did I..., thinks Elize, looking at the dying man. Loading the last bolt in the magazine, she takes a step out of the door, turning once to see Rabus' corpse and grips the stock of the crossbow harder. Savages...
"I'm coming! Leave some for me!", she shouts back at Varin stampeding away, as she shoulders her crossbow and prepares to run.
Full-round reload, 5ft step out.
Mohs Freidricson |
What took you so long, Mohs? Got this one all tied up. And I swear there was a bird. Anyway, if you wanna bash him a few times I won't mind. Maybe...maybe once with your hammer...for Clavin
Mohs grips his weapon and steps up to the pinned orc and looks deeply into its eyes. The orc snarls and twists to avoid the coming blow. Without releasing his gaze, he raises his brother's hammer above his head and brings it down with a shout. "Aarrghhh!"
Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 21 BAB, masterwork, bless, hatred

Beltzer |
Beltzer doesn't hear any please for help from upstairs so continues to wait for any impending dangers. "So, nice day we're having?" Beltzer asks Nerak in jest.
Same actions as last round.
